Really liked the random rules.

The mac version didn't work which had me a little perturbed. But, after playing the windows version I was pleasantly surprised. It's a nice little space shooter with some interesting ideas. I like the graphics too ^_^
The OSX app won't open on my Macbook pro (Yosemite)
Too bad, but i don't have any Mac devices to test this. :(
Alright, i updated the Mac version, you can try it now.
Greatly enjoyed! Graphics look nice, could do with some music, and the explosions are a bit loud, but it was fun, and I laughed when the game 'glitched' and then I read the text. Good job!
Well, that was fun. Glitching lasts is a bit too long, though =))
I have a few suggestions, hopefully so many is ok:
1. The glitch mode feels kind of seizure-inducing. I really wish that wasn't there.
2. Do the enemies HAVE to get the bonuses like one shot one kill? If they get the positive effects, then they should get the confused spinning effect or the can't shoot effect as well. Otherwise it's kind of annoyingly unfair, not fun and unfair. :P
3. The bullets sometimes do not seem to shoot right at the mouse cursor. It feels like there is some sort of deadzone where the ship resists turning, and this can be really bad if you thought you were lined up to take out a ship.
4. When enemies start shooting rapid-fire, you can take a ton of damage SUPER quickly, and health is super rare. Some sort of hitstun that lets the player avoid so many repeated hits might be a really welcome addition.
I did not make it past round 5 so I do not know if the game has an end.
On the plus side, the game looks really nice, and the idea of switching rules is creative.
Nice game. Good design.
Thanks for your responses! Now I'm making a post-compo version from scratch, code will be written in Pure C (just because I can!).
Fun and interesting idea.
A lot of fun! The rules idea was good. I really don't have much bad to say, so just take the kudos!
Interesting idea, good graphics. Some of the modes were really, really hard - maybe doing it as a progression instead of randomly would be a bit better balanced.
Um. Wow! This is an excellent game, very nice and very hard. It stays interesting for a while, and requires skillful piloting. I also really liked the sprites! (I guess those are the default Unity sprites)
I don't want this to sound like a plug: I can't help but observe that your entry is a lot like Gunship Souls, which I (@arrogantgamer) released on GameJolt last week. They are quite different; but because of the setting, the bullet-hellness, and the bfxr sound-effects, I felt right at home! The game feel is familiar, is all. If you enjoy your game as much as I did, you might enjoy mine too ^o^//
Observation: there is no reason not to push the shoot button, it can be held down at all times?
@ ZNCatlaw yes, LMB can be held down at all times. Well, that's the way "bullet hell" games work. :D
Pretty fun game! I like the gameplay well done ^^
Ye to the ramdomness
Nice graphics! I liked the rules but I think I saw them all in within a couple minutes. A couple times I died way too easily from newly spawned enemies. Perhaps next time make the player invulnerable after getting shot for 1-2 seconds?
It was really fun. Loved the weird rules. Argh! I just hate the confused mode.
Nice and funy. Check my game too: President's bodygurad simulator.
Well made, but the web version is unplayable on mac because Ctrl+Left/Right switches desktops and the game doesn't prevent the global hotkeys. Put shoot on space!
@Zwergesel I can change that but it's supposed you are moving with WASD and shooting with mouse.
good job! i like this game however ive seen tens of similar
That was fun, hard and chaotic. I like the spinning mode especially.
