I think this is a good start, but, more thought needs to be put into the game design. I was able to stand still in the corner and shoot continuously without losing. Give the player incentive to become mobile(super crate box does this but making your score based on collecting crate around the map). But like I said, this is a good start ^_^
I like the concept. Really, I do. It's just too bad that this became the implementation of it. There are quite a few things that should have been fixed. As discussed in earlier comment, you have to do some work on the general mechanics. Some basic sound would also have been appreciated. And last, but not least, the AI is kind of shitty... Don't get me wrong though. As I said earlier, I really like the concept and the art of the game and I really do think that you should continue developing this game. Would be really interesting to see where it ends up if you continue development! So don't get discouraged by my comment and continue making games! ;D
Really great graphical-work! Those sprites are topnotch, and with a beautiful background too. I found the mechanics odd, and it is far too easy to just stand in a corner and shoot away.
If you could somehow include the background story you wrote on this page into the game with progression, and fixing the mechanics you have a really great start to a good game :)

liked the game - jumping physics are pretty fun :D and i did not manage to stay on the moving platform for too long
unfortunately game can be won easily by standing in one corner and shooting to the other. maybe give the enemies projectiles as well? like some snow balls?
