Maybe the warehouse area can be a little smaller, or its size changes as the game progress? Right now it feels more like a game about export the right stuff then managing the space. Cool game.

Don't forget to rate other people's games.

@Arthridas Thank you! While making the game, I thought that it is better if I make size of the cell bigger to enhance gameplay. But I've done so far... If I can fix, then I'll try to make size of the blocks as double from current size.

A great concept, had me hooked :) It does feel a bit too easy, as it takes a long time to run out of space, but that also leads to a longer playtime... Good job regardless :)

I liked it, great background music, and a fun experience! I would say the most frustrating part of the game is all of the tooltips necessary to get someone spun up on how to play. Other than that I enjoyed, great job!

Nice entry, the game took a bit too long to get really challenging, and I just stopped at 1000 points. I think it would be nicer if the area was smaller and that you could rotate the pieces. Alternatively, each round could add 2x or 3x more danger tiles to make it more challenging faster.

Maybe I didn't read the tutorial right, but I didn't understand that each day there was a goal like 1x red, 2x green. I just exported everything each day and didn't understand what the idea was on my first try.

@hegemege Thank you for playing! I noticed that I didn't provided enough information about exporting. If I have enough time next weekend or so, I'll try to make game more challenging and more intense!

I had my best score spamming "middle click" to skip day and nights. The concept is quite cool.

niterich 2018-08-13 18:43

You did a really good job with this game! I especially liked the music. However, I was very confused the first time around, as I didn't realize I had to send out only specific blocks each time. That wasn't helped by the fact that there's no difference in sound between a good shipment and a bad one. Finally, and maybe this was just me, but I thought blocks of the same colour would snap together, and that I could get a higher score by exporting bigger blocks. I think that was based on some of the screenshots you provided.

I restarted 3 times trying to figure out why I was losing health on the export phase, before I realized that it only wanted specific things and not until day 2. If it wanted specific things on day one, that would have made it much more clear.

Really great idea, mechanics are solid, controls are pretty good. It's too slow though... I got to day 16, score of 1261, at 100 life, and I just got bored. I never used more than the bottom 20% or so of the warehouse, so never got particularly starved for space, but I could imagine (in about another 30 levels...) it would start getting much more interesting ^_^.

@chocolat-endive Oh, I'd check out scoring logic. Currently, if you skip a decent amount of time, then you'll get quite an amount of score, but I think it's over effective. Thank you!

@niterich I think I didn't provide enough information about exporting... Maybe I'll add more information about it. Thank you! for the feedback!

@jimbly Thank you for the feedback! At first, I thought that the game is quite challenging when an anonymous player would play, but I think I forgot that everyone on this jam is quite good at learning game. I should adjust the difficulty...

Again, thank you all for playing my game!!

a bit hard to understand if you're doing things right or not when trying for the first time! clear indicators for success/failure would be nice. the music was very catchy!

nerobius 2018-08-15 01:29

The music and concept are cool. As others have mentioned, the tutorial needs a little work. Great job otherwise.

r3c0d3r 2018-08-15 04:06

@shp While changing the export logic, I think I didn't change the tutorial well.

@nerobius I really think I need some rework to make this game cooler...

Thank you for playing!

Cool idea for a resource management game! It took me a while to fully understand what was happening as I didn't notice I had to be placing boxes into the export area. I was getting points regardless which is what confused me. But I do like the idea of transferring them to the dangerous area in the middle before dealing with them the following day. Pretty good use of the theme and I loved the music! Great job!

thebmxeur 2018-08-17 14:01

Didn't got at fist that you needed to store thing and only export what was asked (since on night 1 there is nothing to export). The storage area is pretty big and shrink down slowly. I think a constant shrink of one row or one area would have been better than random tiles (so you would have to constantly re organize storage). Also the game elements, text and UI overlapping made things harder to read than necessary. A better use stacking block together (like having a smaller export area so you're forced to fit blocks together) would have made it more interesting. And the fast forward time button can't be clicked during the export phase.

@ossi Thank you for playing! It is quite confusing about getting points. I think I need to adjust some of them to get reasonable points.

@thebmxeur Thank you for playing! I think removing the whole line is a great idea! I'll try that idea. Maybe I need to roll back some lines if they are not enough to place boxes... Thank you for the idea!
