TBH, I really like the music. And the difficulty felt about right. Not proud of my highscore, but nonetheless as of now I'm the second best player ever to play the wonderful game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → Wormy

Nice soundtrack! but the game for me was kinda hard to control, I also didn't understand half of what I was doing... Anyways, I would like to just say that you made a nice game with a bopping soundtrack and some great art... but it's just not for me, I will rate it fairly tho!
I love the Worms vibe in the visual style! Those mines reminded me of the good old times playing Worms for hours, having fun with friends! :) Also music fitted nicely.. cool game!
Very nice game! Very proud of myself that I got 2nd place (don't think that is gonna last long though XD)
Great job. The procedural generation with the dirt was impressive, & the music & art were very charming. Well done.
Fun! Took me a moment to figure out, but on a second playthrough it came together just fine. The graphics are really nice; I especially enjoyed the subtle color change to the dirt over time. The mechanics work really well and overall mostly just felt "right". The music was nice at first, but eventually started to get a bit repetitive and annoying. Very nice game overall--possibly my favorite of the ten(ish) that I've seen so far.
It was a bit laggy on my PC, but it was fun to play! Quite an original endless runner/climber!
Funny game. Great to play on mobile.
Everythings is ok Love music, graphics and mechanic
Fun game! I spent a long time on this one trying to squeeze a good high score. The graphics are really great and I love the nod towards Worms.
I will say I had some technical issues - I couldn't get the mac build to work. I was getting a "app is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash" error, but it ran fine (if a bit stuttery as mentioned) on windows & web.
Very cool game, nice work on the visuals! Is there a (conventional) way to quit the game on non-web builds? I wasn't able to escape full-screen mode on Linux.
This is so addicting, and I love the terrain generation/art. Superb job ^^
Really neat concept...had trouble with the controls and figuring out how to recognize good and bad areas for me to travel over. The bombs(?) and the food(?) being the same colour were a little distracting. The background music is catchy.
This is a really cool mechanic! It took a while to get used to, but it was really fun once I did. The art is very simple, but in a good way and the music is a bit repetitive but not bad. And the randomly generated dirt and the trail effect are both super cool!
I really like how the map is built. You never get a repeated pattern so it is hard to predict what is next. The mechanic also feel smooth, nice player control. The thing is that when the worm get too close to the edge of the screen, It is jettering and can't escape from that. But overal, nice !
It's really tricky, but a lot of fun! The worm looks really smooth! Overall, just a really polished little arcade-style game!
Wow a leaderboard! Impressive! Unfortunately, I've been having some performance issues on the web build that prevented me from getting to the top 10. It's certainly not a skill issue, no sir. looks great, sounds great, all around great.
Cool! Cute art and music and surprisingly addicting gameplay. Someone else mentioned the mines and food looking similar, and I agree. I suspect they might be almost indistinguishable to people with certain kinds of colour-blindness. The spikes were also a little tricky to see sometimes but maybe that's intentional...?
None of these minor issues were enough to detract from the fundamentally engaging gameplay.
This game is so addicting! I love how the worm feels to move and all of the different items and their effects are really interesting to experiment with. Using mines to boost myself forward saved me so many times! I really like the generated terrain too, that keeps things fresh for longer. Amazing work!
Cool concept! it´s well executed, the graphics are cute. I would have liked a sound effect for when the worm eats dirt, but overall, really nice game!!!
Super well done, got lots of stuff in, good job. Liked the detail of the color changing background. I assume the stuttering is from terrain generation and is just happening in the html version.
@cagibi no, I forgot to add an exit button to the native builds sorry.
@s1lv3r-dr4g0n-games @notnasiul the stuttering does come from the terrain generation and is most prominent on the html build. I'll fix this in the post jam version.
Very cool concept. Great physics makes for smooth gameplay and exciting daredevil jumps. Great music, albeit a tad repetitive. Cute graphics, bonus points for LD50 splash screen. :)
One of my favorites so far, great work!:clap::clap:
omg I love worms :owl: , brilliant idea executed flawlessly. I didn't manage to get into the leaderboard even though the game is very addictive.
Most polished/complete games I have seen. I managed to get a 126 score
Really fun, I love this! Such a cute little worm, and great job with the terrain generation!
Trickier than I thought it would be yet at the same time a nice chill little game. Very cool and fun.
Found your game in a stream. It's really fantastic. The music is a bit repetitive, but cute as well. All in all it is a perfect entry and I wish you all the luck!
EXCUSE ME THE WORM GETS BIGGER??????? HOW DID I MISS THAT
This was a lot of fun to play. The controls felt smooth. The graphics and sound effects are perfect. The music loop is a little bit short but still fine. I played for much longer than I intended to :)
Gave your game a little shout out on the GitHub blog post @ https://github.blog/2022-05-05-ludum-dare-50 🙂
