I think a cool feature to add would be if the green squares were blinking for a couple seconds before the disappear.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → Out of Time

Your first entry is ready my dude! Congrats and keep the good work :) This game can easily be expanded making it a little bit more fast and oppresive (Bad pickups being bigger or spawning more quickly, something like that) but overall a very solid first ludum. Proud of you xoxo
Hey mate, good effort with the game. Just a little take away from me was that the controls weren't the greatest. Nice work though :) oh and nice one for sticking to the theme
Nice work, super awesome that you got sound in there. A small change that might have added a lot would be to have made the red cubes move randomly around and then de-spawn after a while. This would have given the player more to dodge. But, be super proud that you made a game in one weekend! Thanks for sharing with us! Cheers.
This game is so abstract and so rudimentary, that it's almost hard to criticize. It's obviously primitive, but in terms of executing on the concept, it's rather successful. So, I suppose the most significant suggestion I can think of is to just be more ambitious, take it farther, add more. But in terms of actionable advice on the game that's there, it would be nice if you could move diagonally, and if the green squares lasted long enough that you could at least reach them from the center of the board. Good job, though. I enjoyed it.
I find this game interesting because it's boiled down to the base mechanics. You roam around collecting time while navigating an ever changing landscape. I really like abstract games like this just because you get to see the core loop without too much fluff.
I think what would benefit a game like this is having the player's speed slowly increase either over time or after collecting the green squares. This way it creates a sense of progression, rewards the player's skill but also makes it more challenging by increasing the odds you will run into an obstacle.
This was a really enjoyable game for me! Good work!
good job for one developers, but this game have a two problem: 1. Very easy 2. To much random
Good luck on another jams.

The game is basic so there isn't much to comment on. However, nothing beats the frustration of walking to the green cube and it disappearing right in front of you. Adding some indicators might be a good place to start, unless you do want the experience of frustration. Diagonal movement would have help as well.
Anyway good job and congrats on your first submission.
4:40, seems the play goes slower with time hahaha. I was waiting green cubes near center last playing minute. Nice idea, this can be implemented in really low hardware.
Nice simple game, everything works and is clear :) better to under-scope than over-scope for a jam!
It's solid, but could of course do with a bit more. More complexity (power ups, enemies, etc), better graphics, better sound, etc.
I think some of the first things to add (as others have mentioned) would be - diagonal movement - avoiding the frustration of an impossible-to-reach green cube - making the difficulty scale somehow as time goes on
But as it is, it's a decent little game.
Well done :)
Cool simple game. Though the character is bit too slow and sometimes the red squares spawn on you. Good job!
I like how the red squares stay, makes for a very natural difficulty increase.
Nice, little game. The game felt weird without diagonal movement at first, but I got used to it quite quickly.
