Good controls and nice mechanics! I feel it should be either more or less linear, it is kind of in the middle with being open world and linear
Pretty solid mechanics and nice animation!
Very fun! Who doesn't love potty humor?
This game is very polished and well done! I got 216!
Very satisfying! But it is not clear what sp does.
Very fun and entertaining! Could do with checkpoints or a health system though, the farthest I got was about 150.
Very good short game and nicely polished.
Very interesting concept! At first it was confusing, but I kept on trying until I won! Great game.
The bloom and dieing are messed up, and the jumping and momentum are too high. Also, I can't tell what the robot is for.
I tried running it from the command line like you said but I just got a few file does not exist errors and a few others, I think its because I don't have a c:/_resource directory or a dev.bld file in the install directory
I am on Windows 8 64 bit, and when I run the run_game.bat file a window pops up with a command prompt, then both immediately close. when I add the debug.bld file nothing changes with the run_game.bat, but the running java ld from the command line is the same as ProjectX593's output but with some DEBUG FILE lines for sprite_list anim_list, gmae_logo, and so on. the line before the second spr_imageio file does not exist? error says Gameobjects.init
The latest version works!
This game is excellent! I loved the choice of weapons and how they were each useful in their own way. To improve on the game, I would have all weapons choices visible on the screen with their respective keys, and more levels. Well done.
Fun & addicting!
Took me a while to get the hang of switching when I needed to, but very fun overall.
I like the interesting mechanic, it was a little finicky at times though. Maybe if you could choose how far off the wall you move to (w/ the scrollwheel) or having your position be on between points on 2 walls would be interesting as well.
Making the canopic jars bigger, stand out more, and away from other jars would make them feel more like important checkpoints and less like scattered asthetics.
For future levels the you would want to have a difficulty curve and obstacles or supporting mechanics such as moving platforms, needing to hit certain jars in a certain order for a puzzle room, range-boosting power-ups, 1-use jars, x-ray vision or something to see where the next jar is, mirrors to reflect your movements, key and lock puzzles, or whatever else you can think of.
These are just some ideas I had, it's an innovative concept.
The artwork and music were good too. Nice job!
Great game I enjoyed slowly getting better at using the catapult while still being really bad at it.
I think that the day/night cycle was too long, it can get distracting and background music would be good too. The slingshot should have its bands pulled back with the stone so it is easier to gauge the angle. Arcs that show your last shot may be helpful and would make the game easier as well. A current completion % would be interesting to see as the blocks fall into place to give immediate feedback how good or bad that shot was when things get tight and the mirage gets blocked out by more blocks.
Really nice use of mechanics and overall aesthetics, well done!
Nice game, it is good and simple.
The player character should contrast more with the wall behind him so its easier to make him out̶ a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶n̶d̶s̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶a̶y̶.̶ There is sound but it should be enabled from the start, not only when you check the sound settings! It feels slide-y with the acceleration and there is only one enemy that is a threat to you that I found (the bees). Overall, not bad, I liked the story.
Really amazing game, I loved the complex puzzles the most but the music, sfx, art, humor, physics, and everything was fantastic. I feel I should make my future games with more polish and cohesiveness now.
If I had to say my least favorite part it would be the swings to break blocks felt long after repeating a puzzle multiple times, but it wasn't bad.
Anyway amazing work!
Great job!
It's wonderfully simple and has good music too.
Nice game with an innovative mechanic!
It could use some balancing, regenerating health, or different types of attacks with different styles of button sequences.
But still, very impressive!
Very nice, I liked your execution!
At first it reminded me of Papers, Please, and I thought if you were to make a full game out of this it would draw inspiration from there (like uncovering plots, recurring characters, and denial of service if they sound suspicious). Well these are just my thoughts on what it could be if someone wanted to expand on it.
The game is great and designed well, good job!
A little hard to control if you're not used to it, but I like the highscore feature and the ambiance.
The graphics are cool, I like the perspective.
It's kinda hard to tell what is bad and what is good, maybe if you had a more consistent color theme it would be easier because right now the player, the energy blast, and things you can interact with are all different colors, while the hazards blend in with the background.
Nice game, I like the models. Would be nice if you could interact with some of them though.
