Nice mechanic to keep the mazes interesting while also all on one screen. Good work!
I like the maze and the blood split a lot! Nice game!
Thank you for the comments!
Actually, we love to put blood split on every of our games. :D
nice mechanic, good work
Hard to see where you are going because the maze walls are too high. It seems a kinda of cheat to have the character go off screen and see him in a mini box as he continues to explore the area.
Interesting take on a tower defense game, I did not like the additional camera too much but I guess it was for the sake of following the theme
Fantastic work, and nice interpretation of the theme!
I really liked how the gameplay involved splitting my attention between my character and crystal room.
Nice effort to stay in the theme :) Seemed to be stuck on Wave 6 for an eternity (actually I never ended it) though
Pretty fun concept. I think I like that the focus never leaves the crystal, and when it shows you it gives you a little bubble of where you are at in the maze. This works especially well with a maze since you cannot see very far into the maze. The concept of drawing you into the maze so that you can better defend your crystal is pretty neat as well. I want there to be great riches in the maze though. Also, at a certain point, what incentive do I have to continue exploring once I have a bunch of cannons? I can just set there and keep replenishing them. I understand that you want to encoourage the player to keep coming bbback through the maze, but the paradigm shifts as you play and the reload mechanic instead encourages me to stay home and defend. You could put ammo in the maze, but if you are going into the maze to find just ammo seems pretty weak, maybe jazz it up somehow. You could have some fun adding diversity in your monsters and the defensive items you can find in the maze. Sorry for the long kind of rambly reply, this game is quite good and tied together nicely, good work.
camera in maze is amazing, but I got lost really easy(small image didnt help)... hmmm
Good twist on tower defense. Also like how you incorporated the theme into the maze aspect.
The control's, and aiming are poor, and the view screen is WAY too small to make hardly anything else, and a lack of a easy board to learn the mechanic's from the start
That was fun :D
I like the maze viewing mechanic when the player's off screen. Good job on this.
nice gameplay!
I love tower defense, but navigating the maze was kinda slow and tedious, which took away some of the fun. I can't advance waves if I don't go through the maze to find the canons, even though with 4 turrets I can pretty much survive forever. The concept was neat, but the implementation needs some work. Decent graphics and music. Nice job =)
Good work! I like it
Love the mechanics, having to hunt down your towers instead of buying them. Wish the difficulty rose faster because you can get a lot of turrets pretty quickly with not too much luck.

Great idea with the labyrinth exploring and turret system
Blood splats were good, i also like the magnifying glass mechanic when you went out of the screen! nice job
An interesting game. I was really surprised by the idea of going out of the screen while still seeing it. Good thinking!
The overall game is pretty good! I love the idea and the design of the game. The game is maybe a bit slow, but it wasn't really a problem since it's a tower defense, which is kinda slow in its essence.
Good job guys!
Absolutely loved how your worked the theme into your game! This was not only innovative, but I found it very elegant as well. The game is indeed on the easy side when you have more than a couple turrets, but all in all this is really working! And the music was great, altough the SFX could have used a bit more work I think. But well done, had a lot of fun playing it :)
Thats a good take on theme! and I enjoyed the game itself too :)
The maze "bubble" is clever and interesting. The overall experience is nice and I think that some further polish could actually really improve the game.
I think that adding a bullet or some visual feedback that can let you understand your weapon's reach more easily could help. But these are minor things :D
Good job!
Great game! 5 Stars! Pixel art is amazing!
Liked it, but a bit confusing navigate in the maze :P
good work :)
Interesting defense game, it's cool to add a maze element to the mix :D nice art as well
Having the maze off-screen yet keeping your character on screen is a really great idea! I like how it gives you room to make a big level without everything being really small and it's more of a challenge to navigate the maze to find the towers. Incredibly well done!
Quite interesting game. The mechanincs are interesting. However I am a bit torn about the interpretation of the theme. On the one hand it's a great idea with the magnifying glass, on the other hand it means that there is a part of the game that is not on the screen.
But all in all a nice game.
This game mechanic is really interesting. It's a little disorienting at first, but once you understand what you're doing, it's pretty fun!
After you gather a sufficient number of turrets, though, the game becomes excruciatingly simple, and there's not much else to do but park yourself in the corner and keep your turrets repaired. Are there harder modes or waves later on?
Something that might be interesting to implement later on might be some sort of larger or procedurally-generated maze. Boss fights? :)
Very Funny. Congratulations, great job. I think I might have a key to immediately go to the center. Anyway, I loved it. Thanks for the feedback on the game PSYCHEDELIC CARNIVAL :)
Please build a Linux version. It should be right there in your Unity build options. Web Player doesn't work on Linux.
Linux and Mac versions are online for our friends from others OS. :D
Nice idea, good graphics and sounds. I like going to the maze, even if I get lost ahah.
Interesting concept, not sure where to get the turrets, but the waves being slightly hidden by the maze was a cool suspense
Cool idea. The seperate camera when you go out into the maze was neat. The 3D graphics give the game a distinctive visual style as well. Good stuff!
Interesting, but your approach to the theme made this game really uncomfortable to play.
Interesting concept - the concept of a tower defense where you're actually running around and collecting the 'towers' is definitely interesting, but I would have liked to see some mazing, maybe a wall or something around the crystal that would let you place the towers more strategically, because by the 5th wave I found it was just monsters from all four sides and no end to them.
I like how you incorporated the theme, and the game ran very smoothly and very quickly. The colors were a bit vibrant for my tastes, but I liked the blood and the ground decoration in the central room.
I found it easy to shoot enemies through the walls.
Very original take on the theme.
Really cool effect with the magnifier. Sounds are nice and it's fun :) The animations are funny ^^
Nice twist on tower defence! My lil nitpick is the magnifying lens screen does get in the way of the main battlefield which is a bit annoying/obscures the cannons you are trying to manage. Good job.
Pretty unique concept, once I figured out what the turrets looked like and how I needed to place them it became a bit easier. The off-screen view is pretty small so it was hard to see where doors in the maze were at times. All in all fun though!
Fit's the theme right in! Had fun, but could work on the character view, was very disorienting going trough the maze, but I guess that is the only problem I have seen with this game so far.
Nice take on the theme, well done.
I really enjoyed the fast-paced nature of the game. I'm not a great multitasker, so it became pretty challenging pretty fast. I can see myself sinking more time into the game, and going rogue against the monsters in the maze.
Nice idea. I liked the additional view focused on the player in the bubble.
Cool take on the tower defence game and interesting way to enable yourself to have a larger maze. I did think the additional camera view was a bit too small though, and overall the player and enemies were a bit hard to see. I didn't play fullscreen though, and that may alleviate some of the issues I was having.
Very interesting concept, something like dota element with hero at tower defence.
The mechanic was well done how you could go off the screen through the maze I would suggest adding more yetis as it did kind of get boring waiting for them at the start...
interesting combination of maze game and tower defense, though the wall height plus the tiny magnifying glass makes it real hard to navigate
Good concept but I think the maze view should be a bit bigger (It was pretty difficult to see).
Had a lot of fun with this. It does a great job of mixing up multiple gameplay in a cohesive fashion.
I really liked the combination of exploration and tower defense in this game, and that is even more impressive that you kept with the theme of "entire game one screen". I had some trouble initially understanding the mechanics of the turrets. Sometimes it seems like they would need to reload without ever actually firing. It also seemed like once you got to the point where you were covering all four directions that the yeti's came from, you were pretty much good and didn't need to worry about much other than reloading the turrets. The music on the title screen and in game was really well matched with the pace of the game, however the sound effects that you put in for reloading the turret were a little too looney-toons-ish and made things sound strange. I felt like the weapon you were given wasn't effective at times, but was super effective at other times. The fire rate seemed really inconsistent (sometimes I could fire super fast). The collision detection on the weapon was also really inconsistent. The game also ended very suddenly with a victory screen. There didn't seem to be much of a build up to the final battle. I really liked the effects on the yetis exploding, and also on the pickups. Visually the game seemed a bit too high contrast and important information like which wave you are on gets lost in the visual noise, especially since you have to dedicate a lot of prime screen real-estate to the picture in picture of the player exploration. It might have been better to have the PiP be a little alpha'd out so you could see through it. I think the base idea of exploring while defending your base creates a good amount of tension, but I really only felt that tension at the beginning when you had no turrets. It there were slightly more strategy to how the turrets interact with the enemies, I think this could go really far as a concept. All in all though, really cool idea, and I'm really glad I got to play! Thanks for making this game and I hope to see you again for next LD!
Nice! Looking at the controls I was thinking this was just going to be another tower defense with a melee character in it. I'll admit I was wowed when I first walked off the screen and the view bubble popped up. Nice use of theme to make it interesting.
I couldnt figure out how to place a tower, but I like the take on the theme! I Included it in part 13 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/yuPvpTdD-O8
Great idea! But perhaps the game balance needs some update. Sometimes I'd rather stay in the on-screen area than go to venture in the maze to find turret. But nonetheless, this is still a great game!
I made a highlght of this game from my stream.

I really liked the idea and the way you managed to have the entire game on one screen through the mini-view. I don't normally like tower defense games, but I liked this one! The only thing I didn't like was that it actually got easier as the game went on because once you had 4 towers you didn't need to go back to the middle to fight off monsters yourself.
Really cool :) !!
Awesome work !
