LD30 — Connected Worlds

Videogame Hero by shatterhand 2014-08-27T21:13:00

That was really fun, felt like I was spinning plates.

Technical Nightmare by se1by 2014-09-07T11:44:00

I really liked the delay on the jump and slowdown. Was awkward but in a way that seemed pretty consistent with controlling an old fella. Bit buggy in places, the looped audio could have been longer - dead fun though overall.

Nhelee by S0rax 2014-09-07T11:57:00

Pretty cool, looks incredible. The movement was a little awkward, felt like keeping some inertia would have helped, hitting platforms from beneath stunts the movement. Kinda liked the creepy music too.

Links by esayitch 2014-08-29T19:56:00

That felt awesome! Managed to get to the second beast but had the link where both ships control alike and that was it for me :)

Your world! by Julgodis 2014-09-05T11:56:00

Loved the pixel art, the trees especially. Gameplay worked well, felt like there were waves of difficulty. Nicely done.

Spejsbryggan by lightsoda 2014-08-25T21:16:00

Tough to get into, but once the mechanics make sense this is a beautiful game.

A Broken Planet by NRathbone 2014-08-25T21:28:00

Nice story, text adventure was a good idea. The GUI interface didn't work for me some of the time (e.g. the security code) but really enjoyed it.

Oval Opposites by Kiwiboi 2014-08-29T20:10:00

That was really enjoyable, definitely a mobile experience first. Loved how the final oval grows during the final moments.

The Veiled World by panurge 2014-08-29T19:47:00

That was hilarious. Great job!

Level-Sync by chongdashu 2014-08-29T20:30:00

1:05, that was a really inventive mechanic. Would love to see that spread out into a longer game. Nice instructions too.

The Bacon Uprising by Tigro 2014-08-25T08:19:00

These worlds are totally connected, I don't think my brain is capable though. Maybe I'll get 4 friends camped out on the same keyboard :)

The Slay Zone by iossif 2014-08-25T12:45:00

That really gets frantic, controls feel great, soundtrack fits the pace perfectly.

Little Beetle Saves The World by local minimum 2014-08-30T20:48:00

Love the hand drawn feel. Nicely paced and challenging puzzles.

These Cosmic Chains by ploogle 2014-08-25T08:10:00

Wow, love the soundtrack

Crisis Culture by GrooveMan 2014-08-30T20:43:00

Gotta love Space Cowboy Metalheads! Solid, well written polished interactive novel.

Macrocosm by Ossi 2014-08-26T11:35:00

I wasn't totally sure what to do, looks like the beginnings of something really fun though.

Twist And Weave by ZeppelinCaptain 2014-08-29T20:25:00

Really fun mechanic, very clean.

UNIVERSAL FEELING by hoyt hoy 2014-08-25T20:38:00

Great soundtrack, love the sentiment too. I couldn't get the timing right for the notes but had lots of fun.

I FEEL IT EVERY LATE MORNING by ExtreLime 2014-08-26T11:31:00

That was pretty unsettling, felt quite tense like I was waiting for a big scare.

Sinister by Joe Williamson 2014-09-15T21:24:00

Incredible.

Daydream Runaway by psychonull 2014-08-29T20:05:00

Pretty fun, ramps up the difficulty quickly.

I Think I Broke Something by Otrora Games 2014-08-30T20:57:00

Awesome game, brutally difficult. Think I died more from not camping on the warps than through any enemy skullduggery.

Overlapped Dimensions by bdosari 2014-08-25T13:19:00

A great effort for 48 hours. Controls are a bit sluggish, there's not much indication of where to shine the light but a nice experience.

Vibrastones by 5T4MP5 2014-08-29T20:27:00

A bit awkward but pretty fun. I Like the ambition of using LSDJ

Woopsy Deadsy by 4sap 2014-08-25T13:13:00

I would buy this. Love super meat boy, vvvvvvvv and this is a welcome addition to the pack. Tough as nails, original level design. Genuinely didn't expect it to be ths good. Only downside is the package format, needs Love2d to run.

Drink the Ink (Text Adventure) by TheExGenesis 2014-08-25T21:12:00

Bleak but fun :) Love the visuals and Audio.

Good News Delivery Co. by DragonXVI 2014-08-27T22:03:00

Fun game, very difficult but well polished. Hard to believe this was done in 48 hours. Well done!

Towel Run by OnErrorResumeNext 2014-08-27T21:25:00

Pretty random, but fun. I'm still not totally sure what the towels are about but you've done well for 48 hours.

Troika - how long will you cooperate? by Tomker 2014-08-29T19:24:00

Fun game, was hard to keep anything alive but all part of the charm. SFX would be awesome.

R-elink: A link between worlds by RaycoSantana 2014-09-05T11:59:00

Incredible work, innovative, played well, probably the best game I've played this LD!

Siege From Above by CeriseGhost 2014-09-05T11:37:00

I really liked the menu selection mechanic. Starting somewhere other than the centre of the screen gave a fresh feel to a defender-style game too.

Connected Retro Worlds by yodamaster 2014-08-29T19:28:00

Great game, solidly done with awesome 80s soundtrack. Like how seamlessly the concept fell into each game.

In My Garden by MercuryLegba 2014-08-25T21:04:00

Beautiful. The video wasn't in sync with the story but it was all very touching and the two worlds concept was fantastic.

Salted Earth by wolfmother 2014-08-25T07:52:00

Cool innovative theme, I spent a long time teleporting and not taking out any enemies, the confederation would be upset with me.

Protect Both Worlds by Perjoka 2014-08-25T13:25:00

Initially confusing but then I got it! Great mechanic, really innovative, kinda want to play this as a 2P game now, both games feeding into each other.

The Weaver Of Links by Toubib 2014-08-29T20:15:00

Cool idea, really innovative.

Under World by tiff 2014-08-25T07:58:00

I really like the way the trees roots turn into withered branches in the other world. Nice interpretation of the theme. Controls are quite glitchy but pretty fun anyway.

Connected We Run by Sandcrawler 2014-08-25T12:53:00

Really innovative, the atari feel is a really nice touch. Definitely has a 'one more play' mechanic.

The Jackal by jesterswilde 2014-08-27T21:59:00

Graphically fantastic. First 3d animations I've played in the jams yet, stealth mechanic was great but easy to get stuck in areas. Not sure how it related to the theme.

Grindrunner by xoxopanda 2014-08-25T20:54:00

Second the "Half Minute Hero" influence, but in a great way. Love the way that (other than the inputs) you can find all the mechanics through play.

Betwixter by buckslice 2014-08-27T21:43:00

Cool concept, levels designed well. Made me think a lot.

A letter for God by bluesky 2014-09-07T11:50:00

The sketches were beautiful. Fantastic idea, and well executed (particularly Bieber). Text areas were a bit awkward and some decisions were pretty unforgiving but great overall.

Two Worlds by Sutivu 2014-08-27T22:12:00

64 bit link worked fine for me. Cool idea, really liked the graphics in game a lot. Would stall for a while before the level and UI could use a bit of polish. Well done though, a great effort.

Alice by synchingfeeling 2014-08-30T20:34:00

Thanks for the feedback all, agree with most. I should have probably spent more time on the audio - fine for a 'challenge' mode but incredibly irritating for a general slow paced experience.

>>local minimum - fantastic ideas, makes me realise how little I explored the concept

Jacob's Ladder by howkj1 2014-08-30T21:21:00

Long intro screens but pretty cool. I got lost a lot, but then it is a maze game :)

Fourth dimension by Slowian 2014-08-27T21:47:00

Great idea, very dark. Would have been nice to have more than just a tapping mechanic.

LUCY COLORMUSIC by Unicorn Madness 2014-08-27T22:17:00

Graphics in the hub and character are beautiful. Gameplay pretty broken and no idea what the audio is doing. Good fun anyway though.

Sabotage Will Set Us Free by machine_screen 2014-08-29T20:34:00

Really liked the gritty mood, graphics remind me of Beneath A Steel Sky Era adventure games.

Alice Anxiety by jukimv1986 2014-09-05T11:47:00

Really like the concept, really like the mood. Controls were a bit awkward but see great potential in this.

Sol by Mali 2014-08-25T20:48:00

Awesome game, really clean.

LD33 — You are the Monster

MonsterMystery by ShadowBrain 2015-08-30T03:28:00

You did a lot in such a short time, worked pretty well on android too. Reminded me of LA noir, loved the item exam mechanic. Some of the camera pans were a little awkward but a great job

Goomba Simulator 2015 by LandoSystems 2015-09-11T06:19:00

Loved a bit of retro, that raised some pretty dark questions. Genuinely amazing job guys.

Hydra by JoeProgram 2015-08-24T04:57:00

Such a well designed game. Controls felt fluid, no explicit tutorials needed, felt really fluid.

Spooky Cuties by OnlySlightly 2015-08-24T05:17:00

Loved the typing mechanic, great interpretation.

Face Puncher by chunkybrewster 2015-08-26T03:03:00

That kept my punching fists amused, loved the programmer art.

Hero feast by chabuduo 2015-09-04T04:12:00

Cool idea, felt like the tuning was a bit off.

The monster by mrcdk 2015-08-30T17:52:00

That was poetry.

Monster in the House by Jani Nykänen 2015-08-30T06:30:00

Great graphical style, pretty dark.

No Credit, No Problem! by Razoric 2015-08-27T06:19:00

Very similar to Papers, Please! Took off in a different direction though. Very solid look and feel, played this twice to see the other outcomes.

Daniel X Moore Presents: Dungeon of Sadness [LEGENDS] by Daniel X. Moore 2015-08-24T05:08:00

Hilarious and surprisingly dark, loved the brogre.

Oranges In Love With My Fly by ViliX64 2015-08-30T06:26:00

Can't believe how much content you managed to put in in 48 hours. The story was incredible if massively surreal, gameplay was a bit slow paced for me.

Mobs, Inc. by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-09-11T06:04:00

Would totally buy, those graphics are incredible, super fun, cannot believe you made this so quickly.

Intergalactic Love Machine by Slothmachine 2015-08-30T17:37:00

Wow, just wow.

GH4ST by Shaun LeBron 2015-09-11T05:58:00

awesome idea, well executed, would play more. I love the fresh approach to an old game.

Mornings of a Seventeen Year-Old Girl by Mike Mezhenin 2015-08-27T06:32:00

No tutorials needed, everything super fluid. Great interpretation and one that will keep you thinking.

Monster Need Friend Too by paracatgames 2015-09-04T03:59:00

I think this interface would work really well on a touch device. Great job! Wasn't sure why 'ask a question' was a choice though, as it seemed like you used up a choice and would only get one wrong answer out of the way.

Golbertz Party Sing-A-Long by Franklin's Ghost 2015-08-30T00:24:00

That was pretty creepy. Very blue velvet. Android version worked a treat

...But which one? by Jessica Hayley 2015-09-04T04:16:00

Quality idea, well executed. Would have been great to have some uncertainty around your controls (you know that you'll get to the goal without knowing who you control)

withered by okeedokeben 2015-09-04T04:30:00

That was actually kinda emotional, great job. Superb soundtrack, gameplay is a little rough but the idea is incredible. Well done, especially for the time limit.

A Game Where You Are ANY Monster by Saphyre 2015-09-04T04:46:00

Fun idea, wouldn't recognise any of the monsters I tried to be, had to be an alien.

Ice Scream by Legulysse 2015-08-30T18:30:00

Android version works well, very very dark. Mechanic was very well tuned

Coin Block Clicker by Mykaelos 2015-08-26T02:54:00

That was really fun, what a twist.

Serious Business by superjoebob 2015-09-04T04:08:00

That was soooo good! Love the soundtrack.

Oh! You Monster! by rodobodolfo 2015-08-30T00:38:00

Best box dating game I've ever played. That soundtrack is still stuck in my head

Combover Monster Campaign Manager by andyman404 2015-08-24T05:29:00

That just happened. Feels surprisingly deep for what I though would just be a comedy effort.

The Beast Is Within You by mickanio 2015-08-26T04:51:00

Bleak, thought provoking and really fun. Values well tuned, I couldn't even afford a car after spending my entire youth in prison.

The Old One by Chris Olsen 2015-08-27T06:04:00

Beautiful, well paced, fun.

AM I? by DruhinM 2015-08-30T06:05:00

Cool idea, the z ordering was a little off but played well.

It's Sunday by bigbuggames 2015-08-30T06:12:00

That is a truly terrifying monster.

Excremonsters! by Ninja Garage 2015-08-30T06:00:00

Grim, but hilarious. Didn't have the opportunity to play in multiplayer but was fun and upbeat.

Halloween Maskness by The Mad Strauss 2015-08-26T05:09:00

Art style is incredible, that intro. Took me a couple of failed tries to get the mechanics but then was pretty fun.

Truth be untold by pseudavid 2015-08-26T05:24:00

Well written, I was mainly truthful but was a little confused at times where there was only a single choice. The early relationship arc was fantastic.

Sunset Monster by dregamr 2015-08-30T15:37:00

Love a bullet hell shooter, the ending was brilliant, the graphics minimalist and engaging. Even did it on monster mode!

Monster Chips by derugin.s 2015-08-26T02:56:00

Graphics looked really polished, wasn't totally sure how to scare people in phase 2. Good effort.

Candy Creeper by KhaoTom 2015-08-26T05:01:00

Looks incredible, animated well, felt a little like DeathSpank. Cave is full of sweets.

How cookies ruined my life. by Suese 2015-08-27T05:55:00

Me love game!
