oh, man. I am super into this game. Having specific control over every joint in my ever-growing hydra head(s) is a real joy, and I love that right clicking causes every mouth to chomp at once, instead of just triggering a single head. It makes having a whole bunch of heads feel like a really significant increase in power.
I also really love that growing in power also comes at the cost of becoming more vulnerable as a bigger target.
This is an exceptional game, my friend. You should be really proud of it.

Really clever game! Once the knight cut the head off and two appeared I got it. :) This has a really awesome fun toy-like/tool aspect to arranging your hydra and creating weird shapes to fight back. The only thing I wished was that there a bit more time between waves of knights so I can set up my hydra and experiment with new attack patterns. Awesome job!
Really great game and completely unique. I enjoyed the progression in difficulty. Well done!
We need pc_monster_Data to play it as a download
This game is awesome. One of the best Ludum Dare entries I've played.
Such a well designed game. Controls felt fluid, no explicit tutorials needed, felt really fluid.

This is a really amazing game! The core mechanic is simple but really fun! It has a sort of similar addictive quality as tower defense games, except you have to micromanage your attacks.
The graphics look good. I think the blocky style works pretty well and it probably meant less work for you :P
The music is also nice and definitely got me more into the game.
Thing that bugged me were how collisions were handled oddly and the fact that it's hard to position the heads over the soldiers correctly. Also, there wasn't enough visual feedback for when I killed a soldier. Finally, I thought it was clever to position the score and health bar on the canyon wall, but unfortunately the hydra easily ends up covering it.
@BtheDestroyer - thanks for catching this! I've fixed the Windows download - it's ready to go!
My god that got very intense fast, I LOVED IT! Very cool idea, simple graphics. Everything is spot on. Great work, I look forward to seeing your future projects!

Fun game and a cool concept. I loved the attention to detail making blood spurt out of your discarded ragdoll heads :P

This is the most complex game of Hungry Hungry Hippos I have every played. If only my tendonitis didn't shut the game down so fast. Bravo.
COOL STINKING BEANS. NOW LETS SEE HOW IT PLAYS
LOVE IT
Very fun and innovative game.
I'm a lot confused by the gray dead heads, I never know if they were destroyed by opponents or if they only the result of the apparition of a new double head...
Controls are not easy, but I have no idea to improve them, this game is very original, and unconventional.
Like mentioned above, more feedback when you hit an enemy or being hit would be great.
I've played until reaching 1000 pt, after, it was very confusing with more than 10 heads !
Would definitively like to see an enhanced version of this entry, keep up the good work ;)
This game is AWESOME!!
Really worth investing more time in, maybe even a mobile version?

Really awesome! I wasn't sure if I could lose once I got enough heads going and when I did let myself die, I could keep moving some of the heads left behind for some reason! It might be interesting to have archers from the side of a 'pit' you might be in that you have to dodge on occasion, or maybe have all the movements serpentine in a delayed fashion (moving the root slowly translates to the outer heads, but moving an outer head is immediate). Could make for some really hectic gameplay that way.

Really well done. Love the hydra neck mechanic.
Love it! I like how you can not only reposition the heads, but also reposition whole branches. It gives you a ton of control and makes for some complex gameplay, since you can see the waves of knights and have to configure everything into the best possible shape.
Awesome!
Nice work! The splitting heads effect is sweet-as. Awesome music!
Great game and nice graphics, i enjoy it :)

I enjoyed the chaos a lot! The first time he spawns more heads is like "AWESOME!"
Loved the music too, very well done!
Awesome idea and design !

Very interesting idea and quite fun too. The dragon heads mechanic is very cool.
Good game, I think I gave myself RSI.

This game was so fun! But being a Hidra sure is hard...
The idea of dividing the neck on the head's position was really clever!
Wooooow I love this game! Never played anything like it. The difficulty ramps up really nicely into total chaos, haha. I got 94 points on my first try, but I think I could do better if I grouped the heads into a big clump and put them toward the base. Awesome music too, very strong all-around game.

THIS GAME. Nearly everything is spot on. I would maybe continue tweaking the dragging, both for better control, and also I think there's potential for more dynamic gameplay in the dragging part of the game. Well done!

Innovation is here!! What an amazing job! bro!
Wow. This is good. Maybe need some cd on space. Or even autoattack. Because at this moment to win you should just spam space button.
Haha, that was great. I somehow didn't really pay attention to the description, so I was quite suprised that there were more heads appearing! One time I still had some green heads when I lost (while the rest were grey blocks) and I could still move them and get more points by killing some more knights.
Well done!
(Hehe, I see that we were playing each others game at the same time. ^^)
Wow, this was fun. I don't know if there's really much strategy to it (Jamming on spacebar and barely wiggling the mouse got me a score of 4437 on my first try), but it was a blast watching my who-knows-how-many heads eat thousands of little knights.

My Hungry Hungry Hydra for 7477 points with the same strat as @superfluous. Kinda expected them attacking the neck segment pieces to lop off(and keep off) all its attached heads to slow you down a bit, might lend a bit more give and take to the escalation. Anyway super cool entry, really enjoyed the concept and controls. Hope you work on it more.
@Zemmi - I totally agree, having all the children heads fall off when a neck was attacked would really boost the strategy and create some epic moments.
Not bad! Very interesting game mechanic you made. Very fun but too hard to play...
This is such a cool concept =D
Got really stressfull after a while and I totally wish I had more hands and ways of input ^^
Really fun! The splitting heads are an interesting balance of progression and challenge. i like being able to position your heads, it adds some strategy to the game. its a little easy, i got to 10000 and then it lagged a ton.
Bonus points: I can make the hydra's head bounce to the music. XD

Awesome game. I ended having ten heads xD
Check my Hydra rap here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97eNWY6iRas, i really enjoy your game dude!
Fun game and the whole hydra mechanic was an interesting way to play. Liked that you could control the separate heads or control segments, thought that was nicely done. Also was a fan of the music, was a nice change from what I've been hearing in most games so far.
Great entry, love the graphics and the idea!
Very, very fun! Polished look and audio, and the gameplay had me smiling away as I munched up little knights! I did quit because repeatedly hitting space was getting tiring before I died tho, so maybe better if a touch harder to encourage repeat plays and going for better scores?
Thanks for the musical stylings, @VoodooWarlock!
