Great game; both concept, style and execution. Only minor critique: Game runs quite slowly, level 6 is hard :P

Great game; both concept, style and execution. Only minor critique: Game runs quite slowly, level 6 is hard :P
Fantastic game! Very polished game with a great style. Only down-side: I could not for the life of me solve the level with the hostage! :P
Thanks for the all the comments :) Oh, and sorry about the headache(s)!
Xeke_Death: Yeah, not too happy about pausing the game either. Unfortunately the TTS eats so much CPU when processing that a few frame updates are missed, making the physics fail and causes all entities to drop through the platforms :/
Really polished (and creepy) game! I kept losing before the tentacles reached me though that might be on purpose... Anyway, great execution and take on the theme :)
Really fantastic game! Graphics, audio, theme and all. A bit too difficult (especially jumping) for my taste though
Awesome game! It has some really great concept and polish. Not far from being a "real" game :)
Nice little "game" (more like animated novel). I really like visual mood and the ending ;)
That was spooky! Great effects with minimal graphics.
Great little game. Very tranquil :)
Really neat little game. I especially like the magma flowing.
Reminds me of Supaplex.
Great game, very addictive! I loved the theme + graphics :)
Really awesome game! I loved the feel of shooting and impact. I almost cleared out the entire base but ended up running out of ammo and getting butchered. Running low on ammo is quite spooky when surrounded by aliens ;)
It would be nice if the aliens were more intelligent or that the different aliens had different behaviours.
A absolutely love that aliens can catch on fire - nice detail! :D
Really nice game - great graphics and atmosphere. It is very polished and impressive for 48 hours. The Thief-mechanic works well but it gets devilish hard on the lower levels.
Thank you all very much for taking the time to play and to comment on the game! Also a big thank you for your kind words and constructive suggestions :)
@Pete_H: I need to explain how to play the game more thoroughly I know! It is not as intuitive as it ought to be.
@liamtwose: As to the level progression - you are right! I actually mixed up some of the levels so the level difficulty is messed up unfortunately :/
@SFBTom: I actually implemented visual feedback for dragging rows/columns but had to remove it because I didn't have time to work out the kinks.
@tenpn: Noted! I was also thinking of adding a level selection screen as well.
@allinlabs: Yes, winning the game is kind of dull ;) The puzzles were made rather quickly and could have used some thorough play testing.
This game was made with mobile targets in mind and I will be making a more polished version for Android. I will be sure to address your critique in that version :)
Pretty cool game! I like the idea and how it seems balanced, that is no wave is impossible (although they get harder) and yet the pressure is constant. Some ideas for improvements/future work:
* More frequent power-ups.
* Movable area circular instead of square + faster movement.
* Indication of where the next wave will appear.
* Creep variation.
Good job!
Totally awesome mechanic! :) Got stuck in dead monsters a few times, other than that a cool game.
Good idea but I found the fish very hard to catch. Also there didn't seem to be any way to win/lose the game - or maybe I just didn't find it. Nice graphics and I liked that the hook could be caught in stuff floating in the water
Your game is, as always, very innovative and extremely polished! Although I absolutely sucked at drawing it's a really fun game. A bit stressful as well. Great work!
Super impressed with the amount to content and polish in this game. I haven't played Metroidvania so I had some trouble figuring out what I was supposed to do. Well done!
@JamesOfJames: Thanks for your feedback. The issues that you mention should be fixed now. They was caused by a problem on the *webpage* that the game is embedded in, do'h!
Really awesome game! I especially love the setting and feel of the game. The graphics and audio are excellent. I didn't find the core mechanic that appealing - maybe because there is so much going on that it is difficult to focus on positioning the mouse and pressing the correct keys.
Anyway, good game and a great presentation and execution. Well done!
Very nice graphics but I had trouble playing the game. I ended up dying because I got stuck in a door :P
Very neat little game! I liked the mechanic and interaction being very simple but like Tiago I had a hard time finding out if I was doing the right thing. Good/bad behavior should probably be more clearly indicated. Loved the graphics!
Cool platformer! The mechanic took a little experimentation to catch on to but I like it - simple, yet innovative. Most of my deaths felt "unfair", I died before seeing what killed me - usually around 12-14 points...
Fun mechanic, but it gets very hard very fast! The graphics could use some polish.
Very interesting game! It reminds me of Ernesto (http://ernesto-rpg.tumblr.com/) -- and that's a good thing ;)
I would have liked to get more "effect" out of the choices I made. Other than that a great idea and an elegant mechanic. Well done!
Very nice game! I like the sweet theme with the Kiwi and being able to run along the walls. I found it quite difficult though - there's a lot going on at all times and the bullets require precise timing to jump. Also good audio side, although I felt that the chiptunes didn't match the theme very well. Good job!
Great idea! Connecting the colors is addictive and the sounds add a nice indication of the amount of colors connected. I found it hard to use any tactics and simply connected as many chains of colors as possible - it seemed to work :)
Good job!
Fantastic mood and great to see a game daring to bring up some unusual (and serious) topics.
Really awesome mechanic! I also like the game aesthetics and audio side. The game is *devilishly* hard though! :P
Quit outshining everybody with your inhuman talents! The game is absolutely awesome as always.
Absolutely hilarious game! I love the graphics and colors, so cute! It's really fun to hug the life out of everything; houses, trees, nuclear powerplants :) It would be nice to have some sort of goal though.
Also; you might want to add a loading screen - I had a very long loading time.
Really fun idea! Great graphics and execution :)
Take a good old, well-known mechanic. Sprinkle some new ideas. Then add two or three large buckets of polish. Wow, the finish and effortless-ness of the execution really brings this game out. Excellent work :)
Wow, really packs a whole lot of (creepy) atmosphere and story into a seemingly simple interface. Very good job!
Oh, I really want to play! It looks both beautiful and awesome. Looking forward to Mac support! :)
Very cool take on the theme! And it's good to see some tactical LD games, good job. I love the setting and idea, but found the game pretty hard to play without simply taking naïve actions. Could use some sound effects.
Really awesome idea! I played this game for waay too long :P I could keep the other games alive using the yellow game long after the green game was insta-killed. Too bad there's no score. Could also use some sound effects.
But other than that, great game. Reminds me a bit of WarioWare Inc. crossed with Typing of the Dead ;)
Really cool idea! I had some trouble understanding the mechanic at first - got to 6 m. on my first try. On my second try I got to 100 m. with 50 sec. to go before I gave up.
Some things that would be awesome to have: Sounds! Difficulty progression. The two pieces placed at the center of the screen (all the time is spent looking at the bottom :P)
Fantastic game! I absolutely love the mechanic! It's an awesome application of the theme and really well executed in addictive non-stop action. Great job!
Ha-ha, what a twist! I *really* like the way you've used the same mechanic to both work as an collect/avoid-type gameplay, while having the watch the size of the spider. It gets really fast later in the game. I exploded after scoring 310 points :)
It would be really nice with some sound-effects.
Really nice take on the theme. I had some trouble understanding how the mechanic worked, so I was mostly playing asteroids :P It has a really awesome retro-feel. Good job!
Really elegant art style. Very nice mechanic - very Threes!-like :)
Fantastic game! Devilish hard, but a really cool concept once you get the hang of it. Very nice execution and polish :)
Really nice concept but so so hard! Devilishly hard. I must've played that racetrack-shaped level 40 times before finally giving up. The difficulty curve should be much less steep. I really live the effect that the rotating camera gives. Good job! :)
Really cool concept and execution! Very nice concept but it needs to be played on Itch to work. I like the physics and colors of the slime :)
I had some trouble understanding what to do (that the attractors were not the slime). Couldn't get past level 5 - I *almost* had it many times, but not quite.
Very cool take on the entanglement puzzle! Very nice execution :)
Very nice game! I'm really loving the look and feel of the game - like a puzzle version of Wolfenstein 3D. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a door after the 3+1 sliding blocks :/ Good job!
