Cool game. Nice and smart.
We would play much (levels? bigger area?)
(My best is 21)
An enjoyable, but difficult puzzle game. Reminded me a lot of Threes, but obviously completely different in mechanics. When I started I made a few matches without realising what I'd done, which led to a bit of confusion as to why things kept changing. I still managed to win though!
Really well done and something I'd like to see developed further for mobile. :)
Really elegant art style. Very nice mechanic - very Threes!-like :)
Probably going to be the next big app. I'm so jealous! :::)
Great Work.
It has a really good potential to be a hit like Threes, but it lacks some audio for now (it's mostly for this reason that I enjoyed Threes). But it has the smooth, the colors.. basically everything else! So yeah, I hope you will keep working on it :) If you need any music, I could give you a hand!
The only thing I can think to add would be more ceremony (i.e. particle effects) when there's a match. I would buy this as a mobile title
I'm no good at this kind of game but it was fun to play anyway!
Nice puzzle game, really well polished! Great job!
Nice game, it plays smoothly. I'd like to see more difficulty though.
Super robust game. Rules were smoothly communicated and left plenty space for exploration afterwards. Great job!
I was a bit confused by the rules, having both numbers and colors, as well as what spawned the immovable blocks. Maybe I just need more tutorial levels though. Liked it, still! :)
Very nice gameplay, simple but very challenging.
impeccable entry! very polished! great work!
When I matched a dozen and realized that some tiles were blocked or would be shifted as a side-effect of my plan to line up three, I thought to myself: "I hate this game" and "I have to finish". I felt compelled! If you continue to design this gem, sometimes dice flipped over and I didn't see why in time. Did I match 3 of the same number? I was only looking for color. Sometimes a tile turned into a blocker. What causes that?
nice time waster. good job
Nice! I do like these kinds of puzzles though I got quite a few of my matches completely accidentally.
Very Nice! I will enjoy the Android version. It has a nice swipe-to-move-action. Solid entry. Good Job.
Interesting game. I really liked the colors and the game overall felt polished, job well done! :)
Beat it! What a very cool mix! This game definitely has potential. Really good idea and awesome work!
Cool game, very catchy !
Wish there was an infite mode.
I got to 30 matches before I got pretty much totally blocked in. Well done!
As a side note I tended to gravitate towards colour matches and pretty much ignored the symbols but that's probably because that's where my brain is wired to focus. It's good that you have a variety of ways to match.
Nice :) I was just matching colours, I'd echo other people's comments that it could use a bit more in-depth explanation.
Fun and clever, good job!
Seems like a great start to what could be an awesome mobile puzzler. I beat the game but didn't feel like I exactly knew what I was doing all the time or why certain things happened - immovable blocks appeared for example. I also ended up only aiming for colour matching, my brain didn't seem to be able to process multiple matching criteria simultaneously! Overall a very polished, promising entry that you should definitely develop further.
Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
@Freank: thanks for the offer! I'm very happy for you to feature Soko Match in any video, but unfortunately I won't have the time to create and maintain a game page on your site, at least while Soko Match is in such an early experimental phase. Sorry!
I really love the minimalist graphics and the polished animation. The difficulty was not too great or too small for a jam game.
I don't know how you could keep on increasing the difficulty and add a score attack mode, but that would really add replay value. Maybe a hard mode could have more columns and rows. Also the complete lack of audio feedback holds the game back a tiny bit.
Very smooth, I like the bit of exploration in the beginning - you don't tell the user what to do, just suggest, it's well done. The art and color palette is great as well.
Really well done, thanks for sharing!
Nice work. Interesting gameplay and nice visuals!
Really nice puzzler. It felt a bit too random sometimes since you could get some high matches while trying to go for another target you had in mind (like 123, but happened to get 444 on the way) but I think that with more time and some level design it could do pretty well. Perhaps introducing gravity/collapse could spice it up...
Very nice puzzler - great to have tutorials at the beginning (not all prioritize this in jams). As others have noted - there were some instances where I started very many chain reactions and it were a bit confusing.
Really lovely graphics. I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/Q_baWrdQ2o4
nice game! its well polished, but gets difficult really quickly (after you win)
nice job!
Very slick and minimalistic style, really like it. some background music would be great. Awesome entry! :)
Really well-done difficulty curve. Great game!
the graphics and style was nice. Mostly i just move the tiles around till things happened.
Fun puzzle game, well done!
I really love your games :D You have an excellent eye for visual design, and the mechanics are really fresh and easy to dive into. Great work!
Thanks for all the great feedback everyone! I have some plans to come back to this game in the future and I'll post something here to let everyone know :)
