Incredible! For a 48 hour game I really can't give any serious crits :D

Incredible! For a 48 hour game I really can't give any serious crits :D
Thanks for the feedback, everyone :) I was definitely planning on more gameplay with some food and energy mechanics for swimming between the islands, and choices to make for food, but with a young baby I was lucky to get the time I did to work on this :P I worked on it for about 15 hours, which was great, but just not enough time to really flesh it out.
Thanks again for the feedback, this is just the beginning for me in Ludum Dare >:D
I love the visual style you've got going with this :)
Hilariously fun, I know it doesn't fit the theme at all but I found myself not really caring :P
Great job! Really amazing, I just wish there were some music and sounds to round it out :)
I LOVED this, the ending was adorable and really made it feel like I accomplished something :3 I thought the gameplay was great; it was challenging but not frustrating, because I knew what I was doing wrong whenever I hit a snag. Great job, glad you had the idea!
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
I forgot to mention, I loved that I only had to kill the vampire. I really like it when killing isn't the only way through (and killing a vampire seems perfectly justifiable :P). I put out my lamp when I saw the ZZZ's and was able to sneak past the bear (who I assume wakes up if you have your lamp on); so amazing >:3
I really wanted to finish, but got to 34/35 and gave up :( I really like the art and music, and the concept is cool, but why 35? Just a little too much when it's essentially the same thing the whole time.
I laughed, too, the humor works really well with the mood :)
Clever, especially for such a short amount of time. I totally get the connection to the theme; I actually had an idea where you'd be surrounded by people on a busy city street, but how you can still feel alone in that situation :)
Could be an interesting start to something bigger :)
Amazing, my favorite game so far!
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare :) Unfortunately after spending a while trying to figure out if I could use the cell phone I ended up quitting... even being somewhat familiar with IF I just wasn't sure what to do :(
Really love this game; I'm terrible at it, but there's something about it that I keep coming back and trying to get better. Great job!
Interesting experimental game, very nice style and mood. I don't mind that it doesn't tell you if you lost, but I was able to get all the data-sperm black, so then I "submitted" that and just got a black screen that I didn't see a way out of. Seemed more like a bug instead of having some sort of resolution. I like your ideas, though, I'm going to check out your other works :)
Awesome art, music, and overall presentation. The gameplay itself isn't really innovative and I didn't have much fun playing personally, but I also haven't played Dark Souls yet, either :P Anyway, not really a game for me, but I love the presentation so I definitely want to see more of your stuff :)
Fun warioware-type :) Nice entry!
Really enjoyed this, Arne! I really enjoyed the music, it set a good tone for the gameplay. I felt awesome beating the first level, then realized I hadn't won the game and I was scared :P Cool gameplay, and great side art :)
Great entry! Played to the end and really enjoyed it. I love the feeling of being a floating prize claw :D Seems like this could be explored a lot more; very cool!
Honestly I thought this had some trick to it so I kept failing the first tutorial, but then I realized it was just exactly like any Tactics game... I was kinda disappointed. Didn't really take much strategy at all, so I was over-thinking it. I don't mean to sound too harsh, it's cool you got a tactics-type game working in 48 hours :D But it would've been really nice to see some twist other than only one turn.
Awesome! I love the prisoner number being announced (and changing), the gameplay mechanics work really well, and the ending is hilarious. Great entry.
Really like the idea of this, not sure why but there's always something about moving around in a circle or on a sphere that's interesting. I'd love to see this polished up into something bigger! Very fun, lots of possibilities going forward with it :)
The ghost scared me :P Otherwise I think you should mention that it's not really complete, there's no win condition or even a lose condition :P The tension was there, just needs some work. I've also got a lantern in my game :)
Beautiful entry! Graphics and music are superb, and the gameplay idea is really interesting. I feel like the mechanics could be worked on of course but I really like the idea of being forced to "chain" attacks with the rocket fist, very cool. One of my favorite entries.
Pretty much awesome :P Very satisfying SFX, graphics, and gameplay. Squish! *****
Very cool, nice to see another Lovecraftian entry :) The mechanics are really interesting, a little bit of Katamari Damacy mixed with Lovecraft. Great job!
I feel like... it's so bizarre it's awesome :P I feel like it has the imagination of 90's PC games, and I love the graphics and atmosphere. The game right now isn't particularly gripping, but I feel like with just a little bit of work this could be a really surprising sleeper hit. I love the multi-tasking aspect... I don't know, I can't put my finger on it but I really like it :D
Hi mcapraro, thanks! I quickly added the ability to shoot using Left CTRL. The revolver is purposely wonky to use, though :P
Thanks for all the feedback, everyone! Specifically are you all having trouble with the driving itself? I think I've gotten too used to it :P I'll definitely work on a post-compo version with your feedback in mind :)
Oh, and the idea from the theme is you only get one: either the lantern or the revolver :) The lantern is the easy way; you can see the road and just run :P The revolver makes it so you depend on the Terror's light to be able to see the road, so that's kinda the Hard Mode.
Hi Lorenzo, thanks for the comment, there's a Linux build up now, please let me know if you have problems running it :)
@Lorenzo: Thanks again for all your feedback, I've uploaded a new version where I THINK I fixed the resolution issue for Linux :)
@KumoKairo: Thank you very much, it means a lot to me! I'm really glad you noticed the castle :) I just left a review of your game, it's incredible! Get that on the App Store ASAP! ;)
Could you give more specifics about what you find difficult about the controls? Is the steering too sensitive, for example? I'd like to improve the post-compo version with people's feedback :) Thanks!
Ouch, I thought I'd made the car handling pretty fun :P Lesson learned! I hope you'll all try the post-compo version, I've tried to ease it up a bit :) I appreciate all the feedback!
@stvr: Awesome feedback, thanks!
@Lissar: Thanks, it's a visual style I've been working on for a while, unfortunately I'm showing it off in an almost pitch-black game -___-
@SimianLogic: That was kinda the point, to juxtapose horror with racing :P The pistol is meant to be the "hard" mode; you have to hold right click and drag to look around behind you to aim and shoot at the Horror, so it's purposely clunky. I didn't want the pistol to be the easy option :)
@landowalters: Please try the post-compo version, the theme is you only get one: the revolver or the lantern, but I didn't make the choice clear enough in the compo version.
@Scipio Xaos: Yes, I was having a weird bug where when the wheel colliders clipped through the ground the cars could fall through the world -___- I finally got it fixed in the post-compo version, I'm surprised you're the first person that has mentioned it!
Can't get it to run for Chrome or Internet Explorer. I followed the instructions for Chrome and it still didn't work. Looks interesting :(
Great music and I like the art. I like how it plays with your expectations :) SPOILER: I wasn't able to figure out any combination to save the baby, is that the message or am I just messing up :P Great job!
Wow, I really liked this once I figured it out :) I like that you make it so you can link together modules, it's very well-planned. One of the first games I've played in the competition where I see how it could be developed into a full game -- that I would pay money for :)
Cute little characters, and lots of weapon variation. The game didn't ramp up the challenge enough, though, so I got bored after playing to wave 33 or so.
Very nice entry, I like the mechanic and going with the audio always works wonders :) Good job!
Wow, that was awesome! Great writing and presentation. Now I need to check out your other games :D
Interesting, and I do laud you for making something in 6 hours :D I don't really understand what I was doing other than clicking as fast as possible in the same areas, though :P I like the writing, would be interesting to see something from you that was more focused on that.
Full 5 stars from me, this is incredible! I think it fits the theme very well, "you only get one" string of sounds to play, it makes sense to me anyway :P
Seriously get this on iOS and Android ASAP and make sure to get it noticed and you'll have a hit!
Fun family entry :) Reminds me of a lot of the ideas I had for games when I was young, very cool!
Really awesome! SPOILERS: I love that you made it so you have to play multiple times, but I'm glad I got the hint in the comments :P Great story, art, SFX, etc. Definitely want to check out your other work!
Nice entry! I really love the art style :)
Simple entry, but the gameplay and layouts are well-designed. Good job, I played it to the end and enjoyed it :)
Awesome entry, I love the movement on a sphere and how you represent everything, drawing the lines down to the surface makes it really clear where everything is. I'd love to see this polished!
Great artwork and music! I got through the first stage, then it feels like it just resets, but I don't know if that's moving to a new stage. I thought Zoe's hitbox wasn't too clear, either. Cool entry, I'd like to see it polished :)
Nice game, the post-compo one is MUCH easier to play, but partially because there's a bug where you can use both thrusters :P Good entry :)
Hilarious, and fits the theme perfectly :) Played like I was on the game show, that's the best praise I can give! Really polished overall.
The difficulty of the controls was made worse because the game closes after each time you fail instead of getting a chance to restart quickly. The music is great, though, and I do enjoy the feel of the art :) I'd just try making it a little bit easier to control the steering; I know it's supposed to be like controlling a boat, but it seemed even harder than steering a canoe to me :P
Fun and very tense! It was a bit hard for me :P I think with a little bit of polish it could be really great!
Friggin' awesome, I read all of the pages I think? I loved it :P Things like this always make me think "I NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING IN TWINE" but then I never do :'(
Really nice art and I like the idea but I didn't really get hooked on the gameplay. The lag thing felt glitchy instead of like a juice effect. Could be really cool with some more polish :)
Awesome entry, very original. I'm a sucker for music games, and even though I'm terrible at this I think you've done a really amazing job here. Well done!
Wow, this is my favorite entry so far. Great polish, fun gameplay. I really love the Star Fox vibe with the art and sounds. Definitely make the intro skippable, though! And add a little portrait of the dude talking ;)
I love the feel of the game, and the idea is very interesting, kinda Pokemon-esque. Could definitely be explored further. Inspiring to me to try a small RPG next time :)
Really fun, Graham! I love the simplicity, and it's definitely doable, just needs some patience. I understand about not releasing too many levels in case they aren't beatable for the jam. You should definitely expand this and put it on some game portals :)
Sorry I feel like I "get it", but it didn't really affect me. Just not for me, maybe, but kudos for doing something different and non-gamey :)
Yeah, this is just awesome. First full 5 star rating I've given :)
Really nice artwork. I was getting really bad frame-rate in Chrome, around 15 FPS. Jumping and gameplay itself didn't do much for me.
Great work, I especially like the pace of combat. My only complaint is that it's really unclear when I'm being hit. Definitely worth polishing into a post-comp release!
I loved it -- I think I only won because the AI took pity on me ;) I had this playlist as my background music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmAja6hgq_k&list=PL2EFD9040A440A798
Cool, good job :) Can it be beaten? I think I got everyone and nothing happened.
