LD28 — You Only Get One

Farm Fortress by Kroltan 2013-12-17T12:39:00

Neat concept. For anyone who is struggling... the key is to build another house ASAP. Your income seems to go up exponentially.

You can cheat a bit. If you don't plow / plant more than 4 fields, it seems that attackers never come. So you can just keep building houses and making a ton of money.

Great idea, definitely something there. Nice :)

The Lonely Girl by kewry 2013-12-16T14:56:00

I think I got the first two parts right, but I couldn't work out what to do wit the mole.

Nice work

FowL Play by Sakuyan 2013-12-16T15:19:00

Nice one. Slow fall is a newt little twist. :)

CSO-1 by gustavodort 2013-12-16T13:39:00

It's like a platform version of the game 'Osmos' on iPad. The chess level was a nightmare!

Nice job :)

The last Stand by grifdail 2013-12-16T15:05:00

Hi Score = 2465

Nice wee twist on Missile Command. With only one missile. :)

Leap of Faith by Ysty 2013-12-16T13:09:00

Although it's not very original, it's a solid implementation of this genre for 48 hours. Loved the way the prisoner number randomised after every death.

Good work :)

Super Alien Dungeon by TheColorMan 2013-12-16T11:18:00

Got to floor 18, 72 aliens killed :)

Eldritch Racing by ian_snyder 2013-12-16T13:50:00

Like the concept (First person racing game) but found it very difficult to play.

Nice graphics and audio for 48 hours, and I do love a bit of Lovecraft! :)

The Wizardry of Differentiation by mortus 2013-12-16T12:21:00

Really enjoyed this. Would like to see this spell crafting system make it into a bigger game.

Good job :)

Christmas Puzzle Nightmare by uRLgR3y 2013-12-16T13:46:00

Played to the end. 'I am the winner'!

Some nice puzzle design, and a good twist on 'Puzznic'

Good work

Death In One Stroke by nicotuason 2013-12-16T14:00:00

Great little toy there. The only thing that felt a bit off about the controls was that it was constantly walking. I'd rather have been able to choose when i was walking or slashing (Maybe twin stick).

I loved the way you always knew you were done for a microsecond before it happens. I imagine it's the same with real ninjas :)

Good stuff. Top score 22.

Fly Treegator by Jhelle 2013-12-16T11:57:00

Strangely addictive! And a little twisted :)

Top score was 2200. Spent the longest in this game so far

One at a Time by Elforama 2013-12-16T12:29:00

Was going well up until the level where I was told I could push C to change characters. Because I Was pushing C and nothing was happening! (Playing the web version, on a Mac)

I'm a sucker for minimalist art styles too. :)

KERNEL by CatOnMars 2013-12-16T15:12:00

Looks beautiful, and an awesome idea... but wow, it's difficult!

My right and left brain don't like eachother I think! :)

Alone/Awake by PaperBlurt 2013-12-16T11:33:00

Good example of how much of an atmosphere it's possible to create with only a small amount of artwork and a short story.

Played it three times. The first question threw me a bit...

Are you alone or awake?

well.. both!

You only get one... MINI GAME by sumprunk 2013-12-16T14:15:00

What... what did I just play!

Made me smile :)

One Bond by chicknstu 2013-12-16T13:11:00

I'm definitely going to be doing a post compo version. So much I wanted to do that I never got a chance to. (Like multiple bonds, as someone mentioned already. I was kind of forced to stick with one because of the theme)

One Bond by chicknstu 2013-12-20T19:07:00

@Mortus you're dead right, and I knew it would be better from the first few hours with more bonds etc... The good news is that after this competition ends I'll be making a much fuller version of this game with more time, more features, better graphics and, of course, no restrictions on the theme. :)

No Drag in Space by lincore 2013-12-16T11:41:00

The controls felt pretty good, Although I couldn't get past level 3! I made it once, but then the time ran out as it was going through the exiting animation! (I'm rubbish)

Contentment by Danny Gallagher 2013-12-17T11:57:00

Another great example of how it's possible to convey a mood with very little artwork and movement.

Nice work.

St. George's Day by TinyMoonStudios 2013-12-17T12:06:00

Although it's not very original, there's a lot in this and it's very well executed.

Hard though!

Nice work :)

APOKEALYPSE by OnionBlaze 2013-12-16T12:06:00

Loved the concept, although I think it could have done with a bit more player feedback. Took me a while to work out what I was meant to be doing. (I thought making your fans mad was a bad thing?!?)

...still not really sure how well I did!

Good job!
:)

Destroy The Core by StabAlarash 2013-12-16T14:06:00

Wow. Amazing quality for a 48 hour jam!

The only thing that lets it down is that there's no checkpoint system, coupled with this huge intro at the start which means you effectively have a 30 second waiting time between goes.

Seriously impressed anyway though. Good work. :)

U-OGO by Darkcoder 2013-12-16T15:00:00

There aren't enough games set in the water!

Nice minimalist, almost impressionist interpretation of a U Boat :)

OneThrust by Graham Weldon 2013-12-16T13:55:00

I was about to write this one off after crashing for the millionth time. then it suddenly 'Clicked' and now I want more!

Good work! :)
