Watched all the dev process, big fan! Who even is this guy????

lissar 2015-08-25 04:21

Love the visual style and atmosphere you have going on here!

druhinm 2015-08-25 05:30

Web version please. Good game

cowboycolor 2015-08-25 05:34

Unfortunately due to the graphical specifications (shaders) we cannot provide a web version for this one :'(

gv1351 2015-08-25 05:49

I love the art style

alsatian-studio 2015-08-25 05:52

Really nice graphic & gameplay

crafteverywhere 2015-08-25 05:53

The art style is amazing. but just play for a while becasue it's a bit laggy in my pc.

vycerys 2015-08-25 06:08

Solid looking game. I got wrecked pretty easily on the second set of monsters. I didn't catch the theme in it though, maybe towards the end?

cowboycolor 2015-08-25 06:09

@vycerys
it's pretty subtle on the theme front until the end, but I'm glad you liked it :)

plomeg 2015-08-25 06:23

Really like the art.

crazi456 2015-08-25 06:26

Absolutely love the visual effects!

shaw 2015-08-25 06:31

Beautiful art style and music create a really nice atmosphere, Solid design and excellent ideas. Good job guys.

cowboycolor 2015-08-25 06:32

Thank you everyone!

ruka 2015-08-25 06:32

You'll undertand how this game fit the theme if you finish it.

And i like this game art.

mklee 2015-08-25 06:36

Very subtle use of the theme. Art is gorgeous and there's a sense of bounciness and life to everything. Sound is great too except for your footsteps (sounds a little too like the bubbles). The combat can be pretty brutal, feels very intentionally so but I can see other people getting stuck on that. Great job!

jk5000 2015-08-25 07:38

Really beautiful.

tron-dll 2015-08-25 07:53

Awesome! Combat felt very tense, almost reminded me of the Souls games, haha.

pereubu 2015-08-25 09:16

the moving trees and grass look really good :>

gnuwilliam 2015-08-25 17:52

Love the visual style!

beardogames 2015-08-25 18:41

I never stopped being impressed by how fantastic of a game you can produce for LD. This is seriously beautiful and the controls are smooth as silk. Really really great!

huvaakoodia 2015-08-25 20:43

An audio-visually pleasing entry with competent gameplay. I like how you can avoid confrontation with the wolves for the most part by studying the environment.

There are a few technical issues though.
The trees have some serious pop-in trouble in certain areas. They disappear and appear while clearly on screen.
You can also exit the level in a few places and just walk into the ever expanding whiteness.

bawb 2015-08-25 21:47

This game made my face melt. See you in court.

felipeberquo 2015-08-26 01:43

Very nice game!!! One of the top 10 I've seen in this jam!

atomicwastinc 2015-08-26 09:39

Great atmosphere and gameplay! So beautiful, art, sound...

01101101 2015-08-26 09:42

Fantastic art and general mood thanks to the music and sfx!
The controls are pretty good too, combat is simple but challenging.
With more to see and to do, I could spend a lot of time in this world.
Really good job, congrats!

rocketship 2015-08-26 13:40

Aesthetically probably the best looking game I've seen in the jam so far. Love how everything looks and sounds.. for the most part. I think the little bopping sound while walking gets a bit annoying long term. Combat is basic, I found myself missing a lot of arrows because the camera sometimes suddenly zooms back while your aiming.

The atmosphere is fantastic, the background music coupled with the graphics makes it a very nice experience. Enjoyed a lot!

randoman 2015-08-26 14:14

The visuals are amazing, but man, this game is hard! I wish I could finish it but I can't pass the first 2 monsters :(

scorched 2015-08-26 16:15

Don't know how it corresponds to the theme, I played only till first enemies (and they were impossible for me to beat).
But graphics are certainly great!

pyokoanarogue 2015-08-26 16:19

i'm jelly! such great job !

mar3k 2015-08-26 18:27

Great game, really cool and unique art style and awesome audio. Only thing I don't really like is the combat, it is so hard to kill the enemies. Also I'm not sure if that is a bug, but if I don't follow the path directly I get less enemy spawns ;)

gamecook 2015-08-26 23:21

Great art style!

rougerogue 2015-08-26 23:55

Loved the everything! Die, raccoon!

stupidmindlessf 2015-08-27 08:12

Wow this is the most amazing entry I have played so far. Not sure how it matches the theme but who cares: this is fantastic. Really loved the art, the mood and the design. Just great!

inbetweengames 2015-08-27 22:24

Great twist at the end: the camera jumping to the dead parent beast instead of you, as it had many times earlier before I'd worked out the hold-to-charge bow mechanic. Love the melancholy.

superfreak 2015-08-28 00:32

Loved the art style and how alive the world felt - very effective. The audio really added to the feel as well. Great use of the theme, a thought provoking entry.

mathmadlen 2015-08-28 02:29

Really gorgeous, both art and music-wise, great job!

saintheiser 2015-08-28 05:02

Very mood game with kawai graphics =) Gameplay pretty simple but I can figure out how to fight only from thrid time.

orkybitz 2015-08-28 15:37

Mac version pl0x? I'm so jelly of your art man!

cowboycolor 2015-08-28 19:07

@orkybitz

Unfortunately Game Maker requires that you have an Apple Developer ID to export to Mac, and we don't have the money to drop on a jam game for it ;(

@Everyone else
Thank you very much for your kind words and support

theholychicken 2015-08-28 20:56

Breathtaking!
Shifting dreamlike, finding arrows in the snow...
Visual style might be the best I've seen this Ludum.
The gameplay is perfect once I found out I can use the right mouse button to sprint.
Everything's so good I didn't want it to end. Bravo!

denis347 2015-08-29 08:08

One of the best games I played so far! Graphics and audio are top, as well as the mood it creates. Make this into full RPG!

tselmek 2015-08-29 12:42

Indeed my graphics card is a potato and the lag was pretty intense at some points. Nonetheless, the graphics and atmosphere are lovely. I feel like there was not enough feedbacks when we hit a monster with an arrow, I didn't feel like I was doing any damage. The sound is great too, overall nice game.

cowboycolor 2015-08-29 23:10

@Tselmek
Without the bow fully drawn you don't really pierce them other wise they are one hit kills and go flying back.
Thanks for playing!

onionblitz 2015-08-30 08:59

Really love the art style! The enemies are really fast though, haha. I kept getting killed. Anyways, great job! :D

katekmail 2015-09-01 22:31

Lovely! Especially liked the dialog effect.

nintendo-master 2015-09-02 06:19

Excellent work! The controls handle so smoothly which make it a real pleasure to play. I love the artwork combined with the color composition. The sound is great and really sets the mood for the whole game. I like the attention to detail which adds so much to make the game. I like how everything sways and feels alive. I like how the guy shakes to indicate that the bow is fully charged and ready to go. The bow has a very satisfying feel when fired as well. I like the dash component which is not only a necessary function, but also adds a nice element of fun. I like the play on the theme that really makes you think for a bit. Everything is just very thoughtfully constructed. I know I can also tell when a game is good if I feel an imminent danger and I don't know if I'm going to die or prevail and this game certainly has this intense feeling when I am engaged in battle against the beasts. I just feel like this game is very well balanced in all aspects. Great job on your game guys!

Lovely graphics, great game! I included it in part 22 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/CgBnxdy5Yfk

drauthius 2015-09-09 19:01

Love the graphics and audio/sounds. I don't really get the story though. Am I a monster for hunting and killing a mother?

emmelineprufrock 2015-09-10 04:11

Love the style, specifically the art, and the music. I thought it really helped build an atmosphere. Unfortunately I couldn't make it very far because of the difficulty level, but I wanted to.

slothmachine 2015-09-10 06:50

Absolutely gorgeous graphics!

tth2x 2015-09-10 11:16

That Boss have 4 kids~~ but not know what happend after that...
and what these people said may imply that i need to find back my(their)children?
very innovention Aesthetically and of a great inspiration to me,also about how to polish a core gameplay and let it highly fitting the ambient... find an easter Eggs in 3rd fighting haha~~

the ending to quickly... my feeling gets good but the Emotional still not release completely.... i think some little more narrate about what happend after the final fighting may be a method~?

on the other hand,i have been more concerned about the Layer sequence of these sprites~~ for example the mouse not upoon other enviorments'items ,unexpectedly beneath them~(but it seem also good sometimes~~ ) but the blood upon these grass i feel not harmony, also these beasts's~~
but the camera controll and the mouse controll very wonderful!Rich details~

Hope to collect this game when it more completely~
Would love to see some iterations on this!

tmpxyz 2015-09-10 13:15

Very nice style!

miziziziz 2015-09-10 18:32

I get this error when I try to play:
FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation
ShaderName: shd_radial_blur

D3DXCompile failed - result

cowboycolor 2015-09-10 23:38

Hi Miziziziziziziziziziziziz

I assume that that is a problem with your graphics card being unable to use GLSL shaders, sorry bout that buddy!
