Simple and effective game. I reckon a little sound effect for jumping could make a big difference to this game.

Ah Mario Bros had a timeless formula.
@Kayelee
Thanks for the compliment.
I would like to remake this whole game on Unity at some point.
Using a game library like CraftyJS for Ludum Dare as opposed to using a full-fledged game engine is risky because some time would be spent on technical issues like fixing performance lag.
I would like to finish it but I have been saying that with my last few LD entries. :/ ;)
@evilDan @GaTechGrad
Thanks. I intend to finish Cannonslinger in my lifetime. I've spent the whole summer expanding on Spectrum (Mini LD 43 entry) which is going to be done by the end of this month. Then afterwards, I'll be revisiting a platformer game I started on 7 years ago. ;)
@udo
I probably shouldn't have submitted it but I didn't feel too good about hiding my 3 days of intensive work on my hard drive.
Were you trying to imitate this voice?

I thought it was funny.
The controls are a bit hard with the keyboard. You should port this to the Ouya. Good game.
This is a nice simple game. Sorry that my game disappointed you.
Very well made. Fun game overall.
Sometimes it's impossible to avoid the objects. I think the jumping is a bit too far and slow. Perhaps the gravity should be increased.
Sliding feels good.
A well-polished game.
At first, I thought those bits of lava on the floor could hurt me. Lol
Nice music and graphics.
The gameplay gets a bit tedious. :)
It took me a while to get it.
It's nice and unique. But eventually, I couldn't keep up with it with my trackpad. Lol
Nice setting. This is better than I expected.
This looks gorgeous and the music suits the visuals well. The game is quite fun.
I think it would be better if you could rotate the island with the keyboard so you could push/pull the weights and rotate at the same time. :)
I like the jazzy music and I like that there is an invisible time limit which adds a bit of tension to the basic key finding formula.
Holding space bar whilst being in the air doesn't move the character. I don't get why you have to press enter at the door.
Wow! So much content!
I love the wordplay.
Those voices made me jump. Lol
Like nddrylliog said. Please share the public link of your html file to make it easier for people to run it. :)
Fantastic visuals and sound!
Turning the character is a bit fiddly. Like others have said, I didn't get what to do. :)
Funny soundtrack. :)
Wow! Interesting story and great graphics.
I like how I can never be sure whether I have accused the right one.
A well-polished game.
I love the concept. I'm not too keen on the music though.
Maybe. :)
I've made a Linux build for the Linux users. To exit the game at any point, just press f to toggle out of the fullscreen. If you encounter any problems, feel free to leave a message about it here.
@fil00dl
You should be proud that you've climbed a hundred steps.
@RHY3756547, @RobotFriend
Thanks for playing my game. My original vision is probably more suited to the theme as it involves entering through doors to get to the eyes and each door leads to a different themed world with different challenges. There will definitely be a post compo version of this at some point.
(I was sort of hoping those staircases and platforms are enough to count as "worlds". Lol)
Thanks everyone so far for taking the time to play my game and writing the comments. :)
An interesting game. I was quite immersed into this.
I think it's an okay game.
For the desktop, I think it would be better if the entire game is controlled by a keyboard. I didn't like repeatedly clicking on my mouse.
I am officially a bad person now ha ha!
I love the references.
Quite refreshing to play this, and I find the visuals charming.
You guys may have inspired me to do something like this for the next Ludum Dare.
Absolutely frustrating for a loner.
Cool concept. It can get quite hard.
A very clever game, well done.
A truly unique game, well done.
I think some sound effects would be nice.
Brilliant idea. Very hard game.
Cute jumping sound. Good first try.
I could only get 10. :(
A solid game overall.
I was curious to check this because my game also has Lucy in the title. Lol
The game seems similar to Antichromatic. The beginning is frustratingly difficult.
Haha this reminds me of a video on Youtube called "you need me" by Jimbomcb.
It's a nice looking game.
The camera angles are a bit annoying at times and the speech bubbles are also annoying when they're backwards.
It definitely feels polished, well done.
It would be convenient to make the jump or arrow buttons advance the dialogue so I wouldn't have to move my hand around the keyboard.
I really don't understand this, sorry. :(
It's a shame I don't have the means to play this. :(
Cool sound effects. Getting to the opposite side of the screen feels dodgy to me.
I think changing the colour should be designated to one button cycling through all the colours and it should be placed near either hand so it would be easier to reach while I'm paying attention to all the action on the screen.
Also, thank god someone posted how to start the game in the comments. :)
Cool music by the way.
Gosh, this is hard. Lots of trial and error here, but the game overall feels polished.
A tried and true game idea.
Would be a lot better if the player moves while a button is being held down.
(I've made a linux build of my game for you. :) )
I was running the game on a Mac. I'll run the game again some time this week to see if I can encounter the bug again. Thanks for playing my game.
