Ho your a fan of Harry Potter? Hagrid is selling us stuff. I love dig game!!! It's so cool. I don't know why but the right clic wasn't working... I experience your game in dark soul mode ;) The music is really cool, I appreciate it. Is there an end? Good job.
Quite a fun little game! Got a little confused when I switched from the pickaxe to the drill, but still had fun!
The game is very enjoyable the game play is not dissimilar to games like martian miner. It has great music it is very innovative for the time allotted and it has fun game play. just a great game
This game was really fun, definitely one I could have seen myself putting tons of hours into when I was a kid if it was a flash game. I like the concept of taking that terraria style gameplay and turning it into a much shorter experience with a much more controlled progression. Good stuff!
Well put together game. The main motivation is buying all items and seeing numbers raise, which I am not a big fan of. As a sidenote, it's funny how we're tiering pickaxes in wood, bronze, steel, gold and diamond now. I am waiting for the real world to catch up with that trend. :pick:
Always a fan of the classic Motherload style gameplay! The first pickaxe is a bit slow, which I think makes it tough to get into at the beginning, but things pick up when you can get a drill.
Well done, thanks for sharing!
Pretty good!
Quite a good game, but what was the surprise in the bottom? I just found rocks. The music changed when you got deeper which was nice but the sounds got a bit enervating after a while. So was the point of the game to find something or just mine endlessly to get better tools? But don't get me wrong the main game was pretty good, but I just didn't see the goal of it.
Fun game, audio is nice, I like the fact that you changed music when going deeper, I got a bit confused when I got the drill and thought I was stuck with it but realized I could switch back! Good game!
Aaaargh ! I spent nearly one hour playing the game, I had built a huge ladder that went from the bottom to the surface, I had bought every single item from the shop, and first time I tried to use the dynamite... it crashed ! I didn't have the courage to do it all over again so I'll never know what the treasure is !
I thought it was a really enjoyable experience with pretty graphics and funny non-annoying music. The gameplay is quite addictive as I kept wanting more and more gems even thought I had bought all the stuff available. In short : that's a very good game.
Spent more time than I would have expected; good variety in the tools and progressing deeper and setting up ladders&trampolines was fun. The trampolines can bounce a little too fast in some cases, but they grew on me.
@SvartTand, there is a 'win' condition at the bottom, you just have to explore left/right to find it.
Nice little game. I was a little annoyed that I couldn't remove ladders after I placed them. I think an ultimate objective would have made the game a little more enjoyable to play but It was fun to discover more elements that you could mine and get better tools. Good job.
Great game! Love the music changes as you get deeper. I found the most precious gem of them all. Spent way too long digging =). Trampolines were cool.
A solid entry. Could have a bit more variety in the gameplay, but the upgrade options are cool enough.
A fantastic little game! I found myself playing it for much longer than I originally intended to, just so explore deeper into the mines. Loved the way the music changes as you progressed deeper, and all the upgrades are fun. Reminds me a lot of old school flash games. Great work!
Good - Digging - Shop! - Background music
Could be improved - I think rocks needing multiple hits to remove them detracts from the game
Notes - You can easily get stuck if you don't buy any ladders, I don't think this is necessarily bad, as the game is essentially a mine-building simulation and if you build a mine that you get stuck at the bottom of, well that's your fault. - If the game is a mining simulation, then adding more mechanics around that (rocks that fall and crush you if you dig under them, pockets of water, mine carts - automation, etc...) might be a good way to move forward - I'd consider either making it turn based without enemies, or adding enemies and making it a more action oriented title, and maybe getting rid of jumping entirely - have to buy ladders!
Really solid game :) The concept is not that new, but you implemented it really well. I guess there could be some improvement on the art side and also the controls are a bit icky from time to time. But for a jam game? Really good job :)
You made quite a cute little game! I have to admit I played it for quite a while, even without having any other goal than digging to the bottom. The music was perfect for the style of gameplay you have, too.
Sweet and solid game :) The art gives me kind a retro feeling which is pretty cool (Would be nice if the GUI was also Pixel art) Digging was pretty funny and I spend a lot time on this what I did not expected. So a very positive surprise!
Cheers
Enjoyable little game! Pretty relaxed. Just loved the Surprise :D
This is was a cool game. The art style was very nice, I like the character art quite a bit and the music as well. This could be really good with some polish and humor.
the music matches the game's aesthetics pretty well. It's a very casual game, but gets a bit too slow paced for me. overall the game has a nice look to it
Really fun game, everything worked except for the dynamite, you might want to fix that. It seemed to just not collide with anything, falling forever. This was kind of weird near the start area, but actually caused the game to crash at the end, as it would fall off the edge of the world. Other than that, very enjoyable, played through the whole thing.
Aww, I was really looking forward to playing this, but it seems to not start on my mac (OSX Sierra, 15" Macbook pro 2013) :/
Played longer than I intended, this can get pretty addictive. Gotta get the next item!
It was a little too slow for me. Couldn't stick with it long enough to get too too far. I liked placing the ladders though. Found that very satisfying for whatever reason :) Cool game!
A mining game in a ludum dare? This is new and welcome!
Not a whole lot to say that others haven't covered, but it was fun to play through. (No issues on win7 x64, btw)
Sorry for the Mac troubleshoot, we added a note to the description. You need to have xquartz, maybe it's your problem.

Just one thing to say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytWz0qVvBZ0 (ok, dwarves and gnomes aren't the same)
Fun little mining game, well done! Collecting gems like a boss :). I may have missed it if there were, but it would be nice not to have to use the mouse :p.
Fun but ladder code seems a bit buggy.
is it just me that i only dig one way down to the bottom xD?
Oh man I REALLY enjoyed this game! I think the music and sound FX fit perfectly with the graphics and game. So much fun I could keep playing this for a long time!
I first was like 'meh'but then i got REALLY hooked up, this is by far the best game i've played yet, the level progression is just perfect, the music goes well and the mechanics are satisfying. I've found the most precious gem of all. Good job!
I started playing and it was actually pretty fun. Being given all that freedom to dig around, getting ores, and I'm a gnome! A gnome! Who wouldn't want to do that xD
All in all it was a well fleshed out idea, with some solid gameplay, and if you added some more content it would be a lot funner.
The graphical style was simple and effective, but could use a brush up. Other than that great job!
I found this game surprisingly engaging and played it for a good long time, I found the "ending" kinda sweet too. I liked the progression, would have liked the higher levels drills to be more effective, I hardly used it when I got the final pickaxe.
The only problem I really have with it is the dynamite seemed bugged, and would just fall through the floor and blow up a random place, so it wasn't much use.
The game was enjoyable and had a good amount of content. I would prefer a faster start as the initial pick was rather slow. The music also got repetitive really fast.
A fun Terraria-style game. I'm addicted to these!
It's just not very original..
The music is pretty nice, tho. I like how it changes as you get deeper.
A well executed take on a fun, established genre. Everything works, cool music and graphics, working your way up to more advanced tools is satisfying.
Cool game! It's very relaxing but could have used some more variation in game play. The different items did freshen things up a bit though. I liked the different musical themes! Good job.
I only clicked on this for a Keemstar Gnome meme, but i'm glad I did. This was really fun. The music was great. The different layers of rock give it a sense of progression. Sadly when I was close to the goal I attempted to do a dramatic entrance. I place down the dynamite expecting it to explode the final few rocks between me and another gnome, but then it falls through the floor and something pops up on my screen. "Fatal Error [i don't remember the rest of it but it was something about -1]". I begin to weep uncontrollably. The Gnome I named Danial Keem will never be able to get to reunite with his friend, the dynamite is dead, and the rest of the world is dead with it...
I did actually really like this game, good job.
Unfortunately it hangs on Mac OS X Sierra. I don't see anything in the console that looks relevant.
