404... жаль
Getting a 404 error http://oleggrachev.org/playcandycavequest/ :(
I just faced broken build right at the deadline and blowed up for days. Anyway the game is available. Sorry for 404.
Another thing - I accidentally placed it in the compo (don't know how to change it).
Thanks for fixing the link! Wow, this was super enjoyable and cute. A little rough around the edges, but still fun to play through and definitely put a smile on my face. The ending was great too (and adorable)! Great job all around!
This was really great, a really sweet point and click adventure!
Hmm, i solved the main puzzle accidentally (everything else was pretty easy). A little bit nitpicking: skeleton's voice is cut abruptly which is a little annoying.
In overall, it's a cute little game. Keep up the good work!
Very nice! I especially like the very reactive character portrait and the twist at the end.
Couldn't figure out what the long thing was that I needed, but I really up to that point I really enjoyed the charming artwork and voiceovers.
An interesting hidden-object game, with a cute and unique art style.
The objective of the game was clear, and the puzzles made good sense. I liked the sound effects and voiceovers, although the voices sounded a bit "stiff" at times. The reactions of the main character was a very nice touch.
The rotation puzzle was hard until you used your imagination, which ties nicely into the message of the game; the connection between the selected objects and the corresponding objects in the scene was very clever.
It was a fun game to play. Some additional puzzles and objects would make it even better. The twist at the end (and the corresponding change in graphics) was great!
>Wonders of the mind, >makes the world a magic place. >Don't fear the Keeper!
I'm glad the link is fixed now, because this game is really good! Even though it's only one room, I can tell you put in plenty of effort into the various objects and puzzles. The voice acting and writing is really pleasant, and creates a lovely mood overall. This left me with a big smile on my face!
I think it's all very good looking and interesting, but i dont know how to solve the stones puzzle. (i mean, i finished the game but i dont understand that puzzle)
@g12345:
I suppose you mean the three rotating objects? Just listen to the story told by the skeleton again.
Really great game, I like it!
I did not understand the stone circle puzzle, I had accidently solved it, but I missed the point.
very good game, I really liked it :) I enjoyed the ending and the "not too serious" setting (candy keeper etc.) And it really sounds much much better with voices. Did you use voice acting?
I love this game! The storytelling is great, the puzzles are perfect, and the ending... Too sweet (no pun intended)! The music was perfect (and excellent key change when the spider appeared), the graphics were cute (although I'm not a fan of the scratchy line style there), and it just has a good atmosphere. Speak to @pov about changing from Compo to Jam.
OK, got it about the main puzzle :) Did some changes. Thank all of you for the feedback! I'm really exсited about such kindly comments.
Such a cute entry. Really enjoyed this and definitely one of my favourites so far. The audio dialogue worked well with the music and the puzzles were cleverly done. Liked the double use of the torch with the modification, was a nice touch. Also the ending was a fun surprise especially with the animal reveal.
I love the way you integrate the graphics and gameplay as if it were a story. It takes me back to when I was a child and played these kinds of story games on my fathers computer. It's nice to be able to take a break from shooting stuff and get to sit down and relax and play something like this. There's polishing to be done, but what you have here it's actually amazing and impressive considering the time constraints of this jam. Keep it up! If this ever released as a full game I would play!
What a wonderful ending! I love the message, it was really sweet. I only got stuck on one bit, but got through it eventually, other than that it was really fun fun!
