Nice shot sir !

Nice shot sir !
The controls feel really good, and good DNA mechanics! I would have liked to see a bit more the effects but nice concept!
Argh! Bug!
I'm trying to get the coder to fix it!
Panic!
Thanks for all the comments !
Concerning pathfinding and collisions, we chose not to work too much on it to concentrate on the essential stuff...
As for how a making of the character, I can try if I find the time. But nothing fancy, just the classic steps for a 3d character : drawing, modeling, rig, skin, animation, uvs, textures and shading!
Ok, put it that way that seems like a lot.
Really nice !
Maybe put some effort on writing correct English next time !
If you like eating cute animals, check out our game !
Nice idea of having to evolve to pass the level, but the enemies seem much more powerful and you don't feel like you evolve that much... you can't hope to kill anything bigger than you. I played it for quite some time and in the end I quit when I realized that even if I evolved all the way I still wouldn't stand a chance (and wouldn't have a super rapid gun).
Nice idea for graphics, but I hoped that would be a bit more exploited... like really being in a canvas and not just replacing pixels by cross stitch. Next time !
Hola! Congrats as well for refraining to use Unity! Nice pixel art and mood. If I had an advice it would be to avoid putting sound everywhere on the UI (like when INVESTIGATE pops). Or use something less intrusive/loud! +1 for pad support!
_(it looks like you didn't finish a sentence in your description)_
Nice idea, maybe not quite a game but it's pretty neat nonetheless! Maybe building roads could be done several tiles at the time and it would multiply the cooldown!
_Edit: Had to force myself to quit and go to sleep! So each building has to touch a road to be part of the city?_
Astro Bastard! Now there's a cool name!
Noice!
Cool concept, I found it well balanced. Nicely done on the graphics too. The truck is especially nice with it's smooth gradients. The same stuff on the characters would have been great, but kudos for making that many variations anyway. Little detail: having to use E then mouseClick is a bit disturbing, it could be the same input !
Wow! It took us a while to see the globe, but once we understood it was pretty fun. Expanding on the concept could lead to something cool. Rotating the globe (the fish tank?) around its centre would have been better, but hey, jam!
As said above, very elegant concept, and always nice to come by Megaman! Also yeah more complementarity between the objects could help you build structures... Add some physics in the mix and this could get pretty crazy.
Hey, nicely done! Pretty polished presentation. I had a weird bug after a while where the scooter lifted from the road!
Nitpicking: the main character is cute from the front, but we mostly see him from the back, some detail there would have made it more pleasing to the eye! Warned you, it's really nitpicking!
Nice one! Bien joué! I got stuck at the last base as well, in the WebGL build.
Hi! Are you sure this is the right link? It was a game called Gonec that looked nothing like the picture up there!
Hehe, love your potatoe soldiers! About the jittery scrolling/helicopter, maybe try to put you camera code in FixedUpdate() instead of Update()...
I had a display bug that cut the sides of the screen (was in fullscreen), the instructions were cut. Apart from that, the ground looks delicious!
Hehe, that was fun! On my phone I always had to press twice the button as the first time would fail straight away... dunno if that's a known bug! Otherwise it all went fine!
Ahoy! Looks cute, but I couldn't find how to brainstorm!
Cool stuff! Avast detected your exe as a malware on your 2nd version, the first one works fine!
Great anim, great style, great voices! The post jam version gets more crowded, it's a nice adjustment!
As said above, the camera makes it hard to orient one self! But it's a good idea notheless. Some checkpoints would have been nice, I kinda suck. Good use of lighting also, are the shadows disabled because it made thinks even harder ?
@sadcolor Hehe, true! Though I guess it still fits the theme!
@interface You're welcome to take a look... though it's not super clean, just a chain of Hinges!
@arek Yeeeaaahh, it's DEL! It's called Suppr on my keyboard!
@banan I didn' know GIRP, thanks for the discovery! It's true, a little trumpet would have been nice at the end, I forgot.
@cubeeo Haha! As you can imagine, I know the feeling... I needed a screenshot assistant to illustrate this page!
@benburgh True, it would be nice if the letters stayed on screen...
Pheww, that was FAST! The controls are good (and it works with a pad, yay!) As mentioned above, it could be a bit more progressive ! I went only around 4000 and a bit. One little advice for a next time, hide the mouse when it's not needed, especially when it can get distracting. Or allow starting the game with a key press. Good job!
Hallo! That's a pretty good idea! As people are saying, you have to be a bit lucky to see all the layers. Keep practicing, good luck!
That's super cute! Only things is that for me the packing stage feels a bit like work =) !
Haha, that reminded me of Supaplex a bit! That's a pretty chill game. Kudos on graphics and animations! Even the buying menus move super smoothly. The controls are a liiittle bit too slippery, but that works well with a pad still.
Maybe add some pictures in your post!
Edit: I see them now |m/
That's pretty impressive, congrats! I'll go test your jam entry then!
That looks very good! The controla work a bit better with a controller, but there is no controller mapping for stopping time!
The amount of work is super impressive, were you alone to do it all ? I'll join what's been said above, it could have been a little closer to apreciate the details more. Also had to lower the resolution because the text was too small (on a TV so I was quite far!) Congrats on creating a great mood.
That reminds me of a Luftrausers under steroids, that's pretty neat! I must say that in the compo version, there was no sfx to cover the music, and that made the whole thing more visceral. Maybe something less prevalent for the shooting sound could be cool. But the addition of visual and audio feedback for when you hit ennemies is more than welcome! Bravo!
Very cool graphics and anim, it's all very cute! It would be cool to be able to retry one specific level (although it's neat to have all your previous shit already), but I kept being overwhelmed at level 3, and it gets a bit too tedious to redo the first levels before!
Super polished for a LD game, congrats! As everyone says, the 'tank' controls are a bit old school. Something depending on the view rather than the player usually feels better! But overall it's really good.
Zog zog!
It's simple but it works surprisingly well! There's tension, and I like the fact that it's all physics too. Takes a bit of strategy too... well done! The shield is indeed a bit too punishing to be really worth using, there could some tweaking on that side.
And as you're using the mouse for aiming, maybe you could use left and right click for actions as well?
That was very fun and pretty!
The level design is solid as well, with checkpoints well placed, congrats. Maybe having arrows everywhere to tell you where to go is a bit overkill, but for a short game that works.
One more thing : I could play half of the game with a pad (thanks to Unity's default input mapping), but the switch on P didn't have a gamepad mapping, so I had to switch to keyboard! No big deal, but that's a detail that can be cool to think about on your next jam! Congrats again!
Cool game, well balanced, with a nice progression. The different abilities have a good synergy. The just parry system works pretty well. Of course it's a bit static, but that's alright! Could work well on a phone maybe. Maybe the animations could use a bit more oomph, but that's splitting hair for a 72h game!
Haha, that was fun! I'm not sure what my actions actually do but that was a cool premise!
That was fun and well balanced. Nice little animations too! And I dig the fact that you can destroy stuff in your way =] ! Maybe if you could see as many clients as you have pizzas, you could optimize your round a bit!?
Really classy art! Just in case you wanna try our game again, we now have a WebGL, so no more scary random Avast popups!
Very nicely done. A bit confused about what does what, but it's indeed very poetic. The play on fonts works very well with the art style and the music is top notch! Congrats!
Side-note, thanks for pointing the mistake we made on our page with the disabled Graphics rating, it's now corrected!
That was pretty fun to build that small town. The whole may be a bit static, and you can pretty much do the whole thing without moving the camera... I dunno if this needs fixing, but that's what I thought! Not sure if I did something wrong, but I couldn't build the Town Hall, although it seemed I had enough resources: nope.png
Never really tried to understand assembly, but I guess that was a nice introduction! Same as above, I understood the conditional jumps to always compare A and B registers. But at least when I looked online what CMP actually did, I understood and it worked as expected in the game. Nice! Some control over the execution speed would be nice, as sometimes you try to see if the execution actually passes through the lines you expect, and sometimes you're just waiting for the drawing.
Finally finished the whole thing, phew! Congrats!
Hi @gameovermexico ! Thanks for the feedback! Out of curiosity, did you play the Hotfix version or the original jam one?
Haha, that's super cute! And as has been said earlier, pretty impressive amount of content for a jam. Transparent objects when in front of the camera, costumes, nice little touches! Could finish it as the ducklings wouldn't stay around the nest and kept wandering about! And one seemed stuck in a swimming pool in the top right corner. Damn those people drive like maniacs in this city... And what about all those pianos!
Haha, that was pretty fun! Got some Serious Sam vibes in there. The mechanic where you have to feed the beast makes for a pretty good synergy too, although maybe some ennemies should attack the beast as well. The levels are sometimes a bit empty too! But good job nonetheless!
Haha, I like the idea of a ragdoll runner where you lose bits! Wish you could do a bit more to control your crash!
Wish I could play the whole thing, he didn't eat the trees I gave him :( ! The start was really cool! Watched the video after, that's super fun, well done! Ooh and for next time, you could put some controller button too, it's super simple with unity!
Really cool! Challenging is the word! Got to 42s max! I'm curious as to what framework was used.
I could play on a gamepad, with is great, though I wish it worked with the stick and not only the cross!
Super fun, I was curious to see what happened at the end of 7 days, but that way too long for me! Reminded me of IMOV Studio stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZTzoLQUtI8
Haha, that was cool! Congrats on managing to put an actual boss in there! Fun story: I actually just tested an html5 game with controller support at random on itch, to see if an Xbox controller actually worked properly on a phone, only to find it was a LD game that I could rate  ! There's no escaping Ludum Dare I guess. So, double congrats, your game is also very fun on a phone!
Now there's a great walking animation! Little bug report: got stuck in the second room, one of the jumping enemies went into a wall and I could dispose of it.
Really cool! Tough to control indeed, but a very nice mood with the music and graphics.
It can be a bit frustrating sometimes, I think because of the whole character turning along with its capsule collision. Otherwise really cute and polished entry! Nice little anims on this cat dude.
Now there's a great source of inspiration! That was fun! Little bug report: I tried with an Xbox controller, but the rotation rate on the camera was veeery slow.
Cool ambiance and strong retro vibes. I have to say I didn't manage to solve many puzzles in the 20 minutes! My one piece of feedback would be that it felt like the verbs were not used too much, for example using Look on the Desk papers gave a description of the paper, and I didn't think to 'Use' them at first to read them. I kept wanting to use the old Lucas Arts keyboard shortcuts too  !
That was a very cool small adventure, well done!
Love the old lady telling you how to go faster. Also the animations were quite hilarious, well done! Would be fun to put it on gameboy :D
Waw, that was tough! Will the cats' hitboxes were a biiit bigger, and that they would stare at each other a bit before losing. A really cute idea though, and the graphics were adorable!
Did that person consider... doors?
It's always to have upgrades to purchase! Also, good idea to use your shader to show the health of the enemies. The challenge could be higher though, and more punchy shooting effects would help to feel your power going up!
Whaaaa... it's missing a bit of feedbacks, in order to understand what does and doesn't do something, but with the voices and all, the whole thing was fun in the end! Well done in such a short time!
@fargred thanks for your feedback. I agree the realisation on the gun could a bit more punchy! Although functionally I actually find it quite effective when upgraded a bit. Especially when playing with an analogue controller, so you can aim more precisely!
In the early game it's useful to snipe the enemies coming at you while you stay on a field. Later on, it allows you to run towards the lone enemies in front of you while the horde is at your back.
The first time I managed to farm all 15 fields was when I got the gun upgraded enough actually, give it a chance and you won't be disappointed  !
@rargrave Hi! You can buy health as part of the random upgrade system. So you sometimes have to do the terrible choice between a new upgrade or a health refill!
It's indeed rare to see stealth games in jams, congrats! A bit of explaining that guards and civilians are differentiated by the colour of their light would help I think. After fulfilling the objective, I got to a green circle which I assumed was the exit, but hitting F didn't trigger anything.
Very well done on the realization of the dashes, super satisfying! Could make a neat game in a wario ware kind of compilation. That kinda reminded me of the times I spent cutting bushes in the village of Zelda:Link's Awakening on Gameboy!
That's a fun idea! I couldn't hit anything either at first... Until I read your comment about being able to control the package in the air! Yes, I didn't read all the instructions. Then once I tweaked the mouse sensitivity I could really play, and it was fun! This kind of mechanic on top of a pretty classic slingshot-drag'n'drop could use more emphasizing in game I think! Here's my score: score.png
That was a lot of fun, brings back happy memories of Geometry Wars on DS! My PC isn't the freshest, so the framerate towards the end got a bit choppy... That game would be a good candidate for an optional download option.
Got the 5th spot in the leaderboard, yay!
Now these are some cool houses!
Hi all, thanks for your feedback. I'm removing the Web version for now, as it seems like you can get stuck on the Title screen on some machines.
Thanks everyone for your comments!
@sargonius @d3kryption @mircudx @ryusui I did a bit of a bugfix and tweak pass tonight, to make the downgrade mechanic more readable and less punishing. You can find that version as If you end up playing again I'd love to hear what you think!
@mircudx Thanks for your detailed feedback! I would have loved to be able to make visually different weapons, unfortunately time ran out and I prioritized other things. A survival mode is something I thought about doing, once you have your weapon maxed! While spawning continuously enemies of course. Could you develop what you mean by "the convenience of summoning mobs was lacking" ?
That idea of squishing your opponents with a massive object is fun, there might be something to develop here!
You have a good base for a fun little action game here! I agree with the people above that a bit of camera controls options would help.
Very well done, congrats! It's very pretty and it was really fun to go through.
As some pointed out, the controls felt a bit odd at first, but it was better with a controller. Choosing another button for spell switch on controller would be cool, as I tended to switch while platforming!
Also... In the red environment, I ran into some spikes without seeing them, as they're the same color
That was fun, well done! Maybe a spell to give a little nudge forward to my slimes would be cool!
These are some very adorable creatures! Kinda wish there was more to do with them :D It took a while to understand how it worked (thanks to the hints in comments), but I got there eventually. Though I sometimes seemed to struggle to make my pattern work, even when I knew how it was supposed to look.
Love that floppy mouse cursor, should be mandatory.
Haha, nicely done! As a french guy, I must say I couldn't resist someone throwing a baguette from a rooftop. Even if that someone is a fish! Congrats for having a bunch of working features in there, and tutorial, wow!
Props for building your own engine! Pretty cool atmosphere, I didn't uderstand everything the dude was saying, but he didn't sound very polite.
Haha, that was very fun, love the idea. My girlfriend got hooked and got to the end, even though it's quite frustrating! Woohoo.png
Nice game, very fresh visuals + it's pretty cool to do some tricks when you jump even if it's only cosmetic! On Windows (zip version) I didn't have the nice grain shader you have on your screenshots though!
