Sadly I can't find any download on the itch.io page.

We have updated the download page :D

Just enjoy it! Appreciate your feedbacks!

Neat. I highly recommend you change your archive from a .7z to a .zip unless there's a specific reason not to. Not everyone has the means to open a 7-zip file, while every computer can unpack a zip.

As for the game, it looks pretty and the music is nice! I kind of figured out the mechanic but it's not super intuitive, but I was able to beat the first couple of levels. I would really recommend some clearer instructions or a more basic tutorial level. Interesting idea all around though. Nice work!

I really want to play this, because sound design and visuals are superb! But I have to tell you guys I really did not get how this game works, I could not finish the first level due to a lack of instructions.

Although what I saw looked fantastic!

Very creative game with a very fast increase in difficulty. I managed to catch onto some of the mechanics through observation after awhile and the discovery was pretty fun. Those are some pretty tough time based challenges. I like how you incorporated evaporation into the spread of water, throwing in a bit of science to it.

I managed to clear up to the TO BE CONTINUED part so I take it you plan to continue past LD?

If so, I recommend checking the click triggers. I had to click on a plane multiple times in some instances for the water to move. I think it might help if whatever plane is highlighted had an outline or something as it could be I was just missing because of how rapidly you have to go on some of those.

Overall, pretty solid game aesthetically and gameplay wise.

Innovative game with beautiful graphics and good sound design! I made it to the 4th level, then I gave up, but that's a cool game! I think a little tutorial can be a good thing.

I have to agree it's not very clear how the world/water works. Nevertheless the art is gorgeous and it has potential as a puzzle game.

I managed to finish the levels but like some others it took me a while for me to figure out, and I'm not sure I really understood the mechanics completely. I realised I had to get water to the trees to complete the water cycle, but it was never clear exactly when I could put water on a square and when I couldn't. But that said, the art is really cool, both the level itself but also the style of the menues and things. The music is great, and it seems like there's a really cool concept there that just needs a bit of explanation. Some animation when you click things might help communicate what's going on when players are interacting.

Still a really awesome entry, well done!!

Interesting game, I managed to complete the first few levels. However, I think that was manly from randomly clicking tiles. I feel this could be a very good game, if there where better instructions of how it works. I also think the time limit is a bit short on the earlier levels.

Beautiful graphics but not a clue on what to do here.

baraa-marwan 2017-05-16 16:41

Its a fun and amazing game. Please rate my game to get 20. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/monster-island

I got to the third stage but now I'm stuck. I don't know how to raise enough clouds to win in time. Nice graphics but your game lacks clear explications.

feips 2017-05-16 17:16

As many others said, beautiful graphics and sound, but I had (at least at first) no idea what I was doing. Still, nice entry.

The most beautiful game of ld38 hands down! However, the gameplay was a bit confusing for me, maybe adding more elaborate in-game hint might help?)

bog13 2017-05-16 21:18

I don’t understand lol. Good graphics, nice music, strange gamplay. A tutorial would have helped me alot !

zeantwan 2017-05-16 22:14

I didn't quite understood what i need to do in the game, but I think I see what you wer trying to do. But in anycase, I love the sound design et the art style on this ! Really cool work !

naoweik 2017-05-16 22:25

It took me forever to figure out how to play!! Fortunately I kept trying and understood that I had to use the trees to create clouds... Once I had that sorted out, it became quite a nice puzzle game :) Well done! It's hard to come up with good puzzles in a short amount of time. Although I think your game would have really benefited from better instructions! The art is really neat, I love it!

occultone 2017-05-16 23:07

I Played this on Livestream today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YtyZ8Rudok

I think this game suffered greatly from lack of a Tutorial, and that sucks because it's very well constructed and thought provoking. I think you'd be doing better in the rankings if you participated in the event and rated other folk's games.

dejvo 2017-05-17 12:17

Cool concept. It took a while to figure out what things do what, but in the end, it was satisfying to do. great entry!

zorg 2017-05-19 16:47

I'm in love with the minimal graphics!

huitre 2017-05-20 17:23

Lovely graphics, it's quite hard to understand what's going on... Maybe being able to continue after the timer runs out would give some time to experiment and assimilate the rules. Then you'd have to do it fast to pass unto the next level!
