I wonder how much of this was modeled after your jam experience :). Anyway, I enjoyed the game overall. Good look and feel. Music choice seemed a little off for the game and I was definitely confused by what I was supposed to be doing.
Found myself walking around in circles trying to figure out what to do. Still somewhat fun and pretty funny.

Not at all bad for a first jam attempt, everything seemed to be put together and operational. Things like naming your folder to match the game name makes it feel a lot more professional and requires 0 effort. I had a really hard time figuring out what I was supposed to do, some hints would really help a lot here.
Nice little game for your first jam :) There are some UI problems when you play it in Fullscreen 1080p. You see the text box on the bottom of the screen all the time and when she gets triggered she flys the way up.
@silvae all of it! lol Music was definitely last minute, thanks for your feedback!
@tinykidtoo Yeah sorry, really wanted to add more direction. Thanks for your feedback!
@aevek Appreciate it! I noticed the folder thing, really need to improve on those small presentation things & hints. Thanks for your feedback!
@traincraft Thanks! Hopefully will be able to improve on UI scaling, really confused on that. Thanks for your feedback!
Your game is really cute .. kind of hard to do actions but good ideas :)
Hah, coffee is indeed power for programmers.
Nice game, if a bit short. Good job on your first game jam!

Ahoy! Looks cute, but I couldn't find how to brainstorm!
I enjoyed it, but it was a little difficult to figure out how to brainstorm. For those stuck: your hint is in the title.
Awesome game!
@hadesfury Added controls/hints to description page, thanks for the feedback!
@foreverip Didn't finish :( would have liked to have added stats at end screen to tell how you managed your time. Thanks for your feedback!
@huitre @twainwright Added hints in description! appreciate the feedback :)
@falk-bruskeland Thanks so much!
It took me a while to figure out what I was meant to do, but the game was pretty fun otherwise. The controls felt a bit unresponsive, but they still worked. The elements of humour were also nice, as well as the very meta concept.
@almostcthulhu Maybe should have added more direction/hints, appreciate the feedback!

Game looks really cute, but I found it hard to figure out what exactly to do and the ending of the game felt kind of akward to me (And it could be nice if there was a way to exit the game without alt tabbing unless I missed that). Other than that I really liked the music and humour and the game felt pretty well done for a first time.

Hey! I love the art, it reminds me of ze old Megaman Battle Network games! That said, I wasn't sure what to do after brainstorming. I tried interacting with everything, and ended up drinking a lot of coffee lol
I'd love to play the game more. Sadly I have no clue what to do
@syv Sorry you found it hard :( You basically walk around and discover, check my description/hints! thanks for the feedback, I can fix the exit I think
@diptoman Thanks! check hint #2 on the description, it will help you out I think! Hope you play again, thanks for the feedback!
I like the graphics and the idea, fun to play with it. Great job!
@tamas-turi Appreciate it!
Cute game indeed. A bit meta though!
I really liked the graphics and the tone of the game. I kinda wish making games was such a neatly-organized and peaceful experience!
I think your game will benefit from a few extra hints in-game, and an interact prompt/button to avoid accidentally activating things you didn't want to.
Overall a very nice little entry. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
@mrtwister Thanks! and I agree it is stressful, but worth it for me. I think both of your suggestions will be implemented eventually, appreciate your response!

I like the sprite a lot, it's very cute. But I was a little lost, walking in circles and I couldn't figure out how to complete all the tasks that were listed, for example, I couldn't interact more than once with the game console but in the task list says "x3", also I never ate anything xD I missed an "exit" button to close the program too. But congratulations for your first jam :) It was my first too but the rest of my team has some more experience so it was a really nice experience. I hope to see you around in the future!
@mspawa I understand the confusion! Im adding more in-game hints and crossing off the checklist properly. Thank you for your feedback! I enjoyed my experience as well, hopefully will see you around too!

Like others, I was a little lost, but your game is cool anyway. I liked the peacefull music :) The animation is pretty good too !
Very cute, and while the music choice was random, definitely added some excitement to the game. Was there some Tropico thrown in lol? I got confused by the ending tho. I got the idea from brainstorming, stood by the computer, but when my progress was finished, it just said "Game Jam is Over, What were you doing?" To me, that sounded like I did something wrong, when I still had 20 hours left. ?
@karreg I understand! updating the game later today that adds more hints/bug fixes, thanks for the feedback!
@peter-sheehan I fixed the ending, just have to update...really dumb bug lol and will be putting that up later today. Appreciate your feedback!

Where do I even download your game, I can't seem to find the link!
@gonutz Sorry, was doing an update and the link was down. Its up again now!
Cute little meta gamejam game, could become the next gamedev sim (a more focused one). Nice art, it reminded me of Ragnarok Online :).
It is just a little clunky to know what to do in the beginning (she feels a little floaty to control).
@sir-daniev Thanks!! I feel like her movements are a bit off too, its my first 2D game so still working out some things, appreciate your feedback :)
The game has great graphics and I like how smooth the movement feels. I don't see much gameplay content though (It seems like you just move around and interact with objects; got repetitive after a while). It looks more like an attempt to reproduce the feeling and atmosphere of a game jam.
I believe if you replace the six progress boxes with a progress bar that smoothly moves forward, that would give a better sense of progression. Waiting for the next box to be checked is kinda frustrating because there is no feedback in the middle.
The background music sounds like what I would listen to if I were doing a game jam :)
Good job for the first jam!
@junjunlowpoly I understand! It really only sorta becomes a gameplay thing if you shoot for getting a perfect at the end game. The progress bar thing was actually something I tried, but eventually dropped because lack of time/know how. :slight_frown: Thank you for your feedback!
Very nice graphics(opt out), nice experience but is it a bug that when you write lines of code no hours passed and no progress is made?
Coffee is a good idea. I wanna see more elements in this game about coffee
I think it is a nice idea but it would be more dynamic. Graphics are very good, animations too. It reminds me a little bit of hubbo hotel.
@michaeltwg Cant seem to replicate this bug. Did you play on web or download?
@fangzhangmnm Thanks for the advice!
@sporeczek I undestand, appreciate it!
Very nice aesthetic for a good game. I am very impressed by the work which you have done. It could be more tense - but I had fun playing. Well done ++
@geckoo1337 Thanks!! I'll definitely focus on more interactive game-play next time :)
Making a game for the game jam about making a game during for the game jam? Very creative! :P I wish that I had more specific objectives.
@theaspiringhacker Thanks :) Yeah definitely a post mortem regret!

This is a really good first time entry! Just like most people I was a little bit confused in the beginning, but I got the hang of it :)
Great job!
@brorawr Really appreciate it  glad you got the hang of it!
Awesome game. Professional Graphs. Congrats.

Nice game!
I had pretty high hopes for this when I saw the page. It's cute, I like the idea and it seemed pretty nice at first. Then I spent the next 15 minutes or so (i lost track of time) spamming A,D and N next to the computer, and running down for coffee every time it spawned.
Overall, it's not bad for a first game jam game. There just wan't much to do. With so little actual interaction required, the timer should have moved a lot faster. Also, all the interactables like the clock still kept giving me their messages long after the theme was decided.
I like the idea behind this game, but as others have mentioned, it's a little bit confusing. I managed to get everything on the list crossed off, although I wasn't sure how I actually managed to get Brainstorming done. It just sorta... happened. Definitely very meta though, and I loved the "game jam programmer" humour. The choice of graphics was absolutely correct, and while the music was strange, I still liked it.
-Someone else mentioned that it would be a good idea to have an 'interact' button so you don't accidentally use something you didn't mean to.
-Maybe make interactable objects glow when you're near them so you know what you're using (or able to use).
-I never did figure out how to make the progress bar fill up. I kept using the computer and it kept giving me the dialogue about writing if-statements. It also mentioned 4 hours passing in that dialogue, but that didn't actually happen - not sure if it's meant to. I was assuming using the computer a lot would increase your progress, but that didn't happen for me.
-I'm assuming that you go to sleep automatically when you don't have any coffee for a while? Maybe add a sleep meter or some other kind of feedback to let you know how long you have until you need to sleep.
I think you nailed the humour of the game jam experience though. I also spend a lot of time staring out the window at 3am during game jams. :p
For a first time jammer, this was a great entry!

I can't seem to access the asset store links, they seem to point to the same link, is there something you're missing behind the ellipses?
Regarding the game, I loved the graphics and audio! I think they definitely added a cutesy feel to the game, which seems to be in short supply in LD entries. Gameplay wise, I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing, but I got everything crossed off. But nothing seemed to fill up in the progress boxes, and the ending screen was "What were you doing".
If anyone needs a walkthrough or tips, this is what I did:
1. Check Theme is straightfoward, just check the computer 2. Eat anything that spawns on the bench, then fast forward the timer. You can use the gamepad for this, just walk back and forth over the controller, it jumps time forward by 1hr 3. Just keep doing this and eventually you'll get Eat\*9 and Play\*5. While you're doing this, do not drink any coffee. You'll eventually Sleep\*2 as well. 4. I'm not sure about brainstorming, just check everything after you're done with everything else, including drinking the coffee. Note that there's an interactable next to the bed hidden behind the checklist. Then a sign appears behind the computer and you can start coding.
Anyway, good job! Look forward playing your next entry in LD.
Found the game charming and very much reflecting my own experience when it comes to the jam: Running around and eating without a clear idea of what to do. I did all the things on the to-do list, spend a lot of time on the computer but when the jam was over, I learned that apparently, I didn't do anything, so a little more player feedback would have been nice, because I really thought that I got something done with all those if-statements and coffee guzzling ;)

Man, how much coffee can one person drink?!
I find 'N' to be a very weird choice for a button to skip text.
The music is OK for background music but does not really get me into game making mood ;-)
The graphics are nice, I love the isometric for games. Also nice painting over the bed :-)
Gameplay is a little confusing to me. I have so far checked everything off the list except for 2x sleep (which seems she does when I stop drinking coffee) and "(drink coffe to stay awake") which I assume are two opposing goals.
Also the progress bar does not change, no matter how often I go to the computer. Am I missing some game mechanic here?
Overall a nice game, just that I don't know how to finish it really frustrates me.
Hi Tyler! The video of me playing Coffee is Power is now live, apparently I was doing it wrong the whole time. Having coffee and working on those if-statements felt soooo familiar ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQCQ5LjoLgg
Have been sick the past couple of days :( @archimagus the timer thing is something I realized shortly after uploading and I actually didnt realize the clock message was still showing, so thanks for your feedback!
@danielilett thanks for your in depth feedback! I wanted to keep the game as close to the game jam version rather than to make it into a post version! I appreciate all your ideas :)
@jusw85 was welcomed back with some great review, thank you for your time! Not sure why the links are broken. Im glad you liked the feel of the game and I will put up a spoiler section soon clearing up some confusion that everyone has (unfortunately) :( anyway, hope to see you at next LD!
@philstrahl Thank you for playing my game and putting it in your video! As I can see it is confusing having seen someone else play (poor work on my part) Hopefully I will improve next time, thanks again for your channel!
Really fun game to play, with interesting mechanics and great isometric graphics. Good Job!
Pretty interesting take on doing the LD jam in a game! I ran into some issues with getting the "programming" to work standing next to the computer, but I like how you managed to get some small hints towards getting sleep, making sure to eat, and not overworking yourself to death during the jam. It would be nice to have some more random checklist events like the initial brainstorm. Good job!
Haha I liked the idea of a Ludum Dare Simulator game. The instructions you gave here were indispensable and it would have been nice if the game UI could have conveyed what do more clearly. The game was a very chilled experience compared to the reality! Really enjoyed playing it -- thanks!

The graphics were great and the music was awesome! Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to win. After I had finished everything with the checkboxes, I was only left to drink coffee and write if statements for hours... Not sure what else I was supposed to do? I lost the game anyway.

I played at an odd resolution, the Checklist was over the corner of the room and blocked gameplay. The text 'progress' was also over the game area and I wondered why you didn't have some type of contrasting border around your text so I could read it clearly. But that's okay, I see that you intended to have those UI elements outside of the playable area. So I won't take off points given its a jam.
Besides those things, I managed to complete the checklist, but didn't know what to do afterwards. So I played games till I exhausted the timer. I didn't know I was supposed to program a game! lol. I would have included that in your checklist, instead of having to explain it in the game controls.
The music was nice, but didn't really fit the mood. And it continued to play during my game over screen, which leads me to believe that it was just tacked on.
That said, the game looks great, plays quite well. I didn't like that I couldn't walk between the game console and that table. But everything is executed well, and was an interesting take on the theme. +1 that you did it all solo.
