Looked great, sounded great, and I had fun playing it. very nice work!
The game was quite fun and I played it a bunch. It doesn't really seem to tie into the theme at all, which is fine. From a gameplay perspective, I would have liked some checkpoints and would have liked fewer "leaps of faith". Overall, I still enjoyed the game though. Good job.
I enjoyed the graphics and the puzzles were pretty tricky! On the negative side, I found the controls to be a little clunky, particularly the interact action.
The game looked and played quite nice. I thought the game mechanic was a bit dry as is. At it's core, it's just a counting game. It did fit the theme very well though. I think given more time and a couple extra features it could be quite enjoyable!
I had a good time playing this. I enjoyed the level design and the mood felt just right. The only issue I had was that I had trouble finding doors due to the lack of light but that seems like a design decision. Nice work.
I liked the sound and the game was pretty fun. Well done!
I sat in the middle just killing the guys that came at me for a while. I thought it was pretty satisfying (particularly the shooting audio and controls) and then I realized I had an actual objective when they didn't stop spawning. Overall an enjoyable experience! Nice work.
I had some real struggle with this game, it was quite difficult! I couldn't get the hang of how to control the player and also had some trouble trying to predict where the enemies would be going. Definitely had fun playing. Nice work.
Took a race or two to fully understand but I enjoyed myself once I got the hang of it. Definitely a unique take on the theme :)
Loved the art and aesthetic although occasionally it made hard to see where I was going. The controls were tight. Overall great game!
I thought this game was very fun! Loved the music and the art was pretty enjoyable as well. I'm not sure what could be changed but I didn't particularly care for the controls (on controller). As an artifact of this, my optimal strategy was just to stay right next to the earth which is probably a less fun way to play the game. Still overall a great game!
Loved the music! Definitely a nice game but I agree with Charles that it didn't seem very thematic.
I wonder how much of this was modeled after your jam experience :). Anyway, I enjoyed the game overall. Good look and feel. Music choice seemed a little off for the game and I was definitely confused by what I was supposed to be doing.
It keeps crashing for me :(. From what I did see, it looked great!
The gameplay, art, and sound are simple. I think this helps deliver the message of the game. A bit depressing but a nice entry nonetheless!
It's amazing how adding a glow really makes a game stand out. Great use of the effect. Enjoyed the gameplay as well. As others have said, it's hard - but that's what makes it fun to play. Music was enjoyable as well. Nice entry!
Loved the aesthetic. Gameplay was solid - only complaint is that I ran into a bug where my block would sometimes get stuck but there was a handy restart button for just the occasion. Really nicely done!
I like your game name! I also named my entry "Too Many Boxes" but you beat me to it :). Anyway, enjoyed the game. Had a couple issues with the movement (on Windows, fyi) but had a laugh at some of the packages that your roommate was ordering!
This game was hard! I felt like I kept getting blindsided by enemies but I still had fun with it. I loved the art style and the music fit well with the aesthetic. Nice work!
The graphics that you do have available are quite nice. Like the music as well. My biggest issue with the game is that there is a lot of idle time. Either nothing falling or the blocks continue to fall in the same column for a while. The parts where it was frantic were the most fun for sure. Nice entry!
I had some technical issues with the game. The music seemed to be playing multiple times and I kept freezing (on Windows). Perhaps I was doing something incorrectly or didn't understand what I was supposed to be doing. Anyway, I enjoyed what I was able to play. Enjoyed the art and the character movement was pretty crisp.
@stephen-coley Thanks for the heads-up. Should be fixed now!
Whoops, I went totally in the wrong direction - didn't notice the arrow until I started flying off into the pink/purple abyss. Eventually I was able to right my navigation and find my way to the ship. Some enemies or other ways to lose health would certainly add excitement but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Well done!
Great game. Just the right amount of stressful :). Liked the sounds as well. Nicely done!
As others have said, the controls were pretty difficult - that being said, I think it worked for the game. Played it a couple times and had fun. Nice work.
Nice work! Enjoyed the music especially - very fitting. Gameplay was solid - I had one hiccup where I ran off the screen and couldn't figure out how to get back on. Art did a nice job in assisting the gameplay.
This game has some great polish. Art is great, music is nice. The concept was interesting but at times frustrating. I think this was mostly due to the controls being a little loose. I would have definitely liked a faster way to restart as platforms frequently got away from me. Overall it's a great entry though. Nice work!
overall a very solid entry! I enjoyed the art. A note on the menu - I was struggling to figure out what the controls were at first because I didn't see the controls button my first time in the menu. I think making easier to see would have definitely improved my experience.
I expected lots of (outer) space pun games, but didn't consider space (bar) games. Somehow you've accomplished both with one game - and it was fun. Very unique! Nice work!
Loved the art. The gameplay was fun but I think hotkeys for the abilities would have definitely improved the experience.
Nice work. I enjoyed the art. As others have said, the perspective messed me up a bit at the start. It was fun once I got the hang of it.
That was fun! I enjoyed the puzzle aspect. I got stumped on the first level for a while until I figured out that I had to click on a Yel in order to apply the action to them - whoops!
Fun game. Reminded me of many NES-era games. I really enjoyed the music and choosing a Christmas theme for a December jam is spot on :). Nice work!
Nice art and great mood. I felt terrible for my stuffed animals!
Such upbeat music for such a depressing topic haha. I enjoyed the game - I spent all my money on hospital upgrades and it seemed to work out for me. Overall a well-polished and nice entry.
Fun game. Liked the components you built. Sometimes the veins would spazz out when I was trying to connect them but that was my only issue. Nice entry!
I got stuck after getting the wood axe. Up to that point, I was enjoying myself. I enjoyed the design with regards to world changes being permanent. Nice work!
The music was very fitting. The llama seemed to sometimes jump to my cursor and sometimes they meandered their way there which made it a bit hard to move. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable experience - well done!
Liked the voice, very saw-esque. Game was fun, platforming was crisp - nice entry!
Fun game. I kept killing myself because I was just having fun playing like a whirlwind barbarian haha. Loved the audio as well. Nice entry!
I didn't realize until a little while in that I actually needed to apply the rules from previous levels - I just happened to be chopping correctly haha. Anyway, enjoyed the game - was fun once I got the hang of it. Nice job!
@disperse Hmm...I didn't do any testing with bootcamp - may be an issue with Unity beta? I'm not really sure how to help :(
@kleinzach I thought I fixed all the bugs with the score screen. I guess not! Well at least you got a laugh out of it. Thanks for the feedback - very good point about plate spinning. Something I'll have to be cognizant of in my future jam games.
@smbe19 I tried but it was giving me all sorts of issues unfortunately. If I get it going I'll be sure to let you know!
@danilo-freire Absolutely! For some reason Unity was giving me issues when trying to build for anything outside of windows but I'll make sure to sort it all out before the next jam. Hope you had a nice jam as well!
Lots of things to manage with this game. I felt like things generally happened to fast - I'm just putting out fires instead of preparing a strategy to last longer. That being said, I still enjoyed myself - nice work!
Wow, I also made a LD jam simulator haha. We executed the concepts differently but it's crazy how we were on the same page. Enjoyed the game. Hope your jam was less stressful than the virtual jam :)
As others have said, loved the voice acting. I had trouble accurately picking the correct offerling despite knowing what I was looking for but I think I'd probably get a feel for it after a couple more plays.
I got stuck on the one with the purple tiles playing the tones. I felt like I was matching the tones but nothing was happening afterwards. Aside from getting stuck - this is very nice entry. Love the sounds and the gameplay was fun.
well that's the first stealth cow game I've ever played. It was really fun. The demon cow cutscenes were a little long for my taste but overall still good!
Nice graphics, gameplay was fun. My only complaints are that I found the boss to be disproportionately difficult to the rest of the game and that I couldn't figure out how to use alter for a little bit.
My two complaints are that movement is tricky and I was having trouble determining what direction my character was facing. Aside from that, I thought the game was fun. I enjoyed throwing things around. Well done!
Loved the graphics. Sound was good. My only problem was that I frequently had trouble finding the next body. Nice entry!
Nice work! Originally I was a bit confused and was trying to control the car itself but once I figured out it was about upgrading I managed to get all the cars on the track!
I connected with this game on a personal level haha. Very fun. Nice work!
Fun game and an cool concept. I encountered a bug where I ended up out of bounds by doing a screen transition as the timer ran out. Interestingly enough, I was able to interact with switches through the wall!
Fantastic game. I ended up trying to funnel all my fish into one bowl for maximum chaos (and fun!).
Really neat game. Incredibly polished. Well done!
@notime4games Thanks for the feedback - I build the puzzles both ways. Sometimes I want to have a particular shape (like the last level being somewhat of a thumbs up) and build a solution around that. Sometimes I have a particular sequence that seems really interesting and I build a level around that being part of the solution.
Great entry! It took a bit to figure out how the launch angles worked but was satisfying to progress once I did. I loved that your incoming velocity affected which way you orbited. Sound was nice as well.
I went from "Oh, this is nice - cool use of upside-down rooms" to "what kind of horror am I in?" in a matter of seconds. Fun game, nice work!
This is an extremely polished entry! Mechanics were fun, great work!
Nice execution and very fun game. I think I killed myself by getting the black hole, it kept pulling enemies into the heart! Otherwise, great entry!
Neat concept and a nice mood/aesthetic. Well done!
Really cool - I love this style of 3d/2d platformer. My only gripe is that I wish I could hold space for a higher jump instead of having to spam it.
Neat idea. I made a mistake and went on a shopping spree my first time around and then it took around 30 more days before I was able to get a keg to actually make the beer!
Great art and I loved the forest ambiance. I found the controls a bit hard to use but overall a very nice entry!
This is a great entry. I got stuck on level 3 for a little while and had to read the description a couple times but eventually I got through. The levels seem perfectly tuned in terms of jam difficulty. Nice work!
Agreed with others about the tutorial - it took me a bit to understand how to play. Very pretty looking game. Nice entry!
I love the aesthetic with the 2d playspace in 3d loop. Sound was nice. Gameplay was fun. The only real downside is performance issues and big lag spikes. Overall a very nice entry!
Lots of fun and a great take on the theme. Well done!
That was a fun experience. Loved how the space is reused in different contexts. Music was nice. Overall a great entry!
I was a little bit confused even after reading the manual but I did successfully extract and send some material to SC Corp! Overall a cool entry - the audio particularly stood out. Nicely done!
Great mood. The combination of the art, music, and restricted field of view definitely gives a spooky vibe! Although I did not appreciate the jump scare! haha
Very nice game. Looks good, sounds good, and is fun to play!
That was fun. Trying to kite zombies while hitting a golf ball was a unique experience. Nice work!
That was fun. Nice work!
A fantastic aesthetic on top of a solid game. Nice work!
Loved the animations and the background art was great! My only complaint is that I couldn't figure out what I was doing. Shooting enemies didn't seem to kill them or stop them from shooting and getting shot didn't seem like it was slowing me down. Overall still an enjoyable game. Nice work!
That was fun. I apparently have quite a poor memory but I did manage to get some matches. nice work!
I love how literal the name is haha. I enjoyed the gameplay but kept having issues with the game exiting in Chrome. Nice work!
I love the aesthetic and the sound but I couldn't figure out how to play :/
This is great. Looks gorgeous and love the soundtrack.
@gi11 Sorry you weren't able to figure it out. If you're interested, I've posted one of the solutions to the first level on Twitter - https://twitter.com/MoonlightMade/status/988600740506734593
@Skyc Thanks for the feedback! I originally intended for the game to lean more towards a puzzle game but had to pivot when I realized how large the scope would be in order to implement the required features. You're totally right about the camera thing.
@Szekeres-Szabolcs I published a bugfix build which should resolve the bugginess with the cards if you're interested in giving it another shot.
@diptoman Thanks!
@BluShine I think I'll have to incorporate some tutorial levels in my next jam game :). You also make some good points about not having any risk in your card selection. Noted!
@Axe I wanted tricky levels where the solution wasn't straightforward. I think I should have done some (flatter) tutorial levels to set the stage though. Thanks for the feedback!
@nander Perhaps I did make the second level a little too weird haha. Thanks for the feedback.
What a great game! TIL that I need to work on my typing skills. Enjoyed it nonetheless. Great work!
I got mauled by the fans but had fun. Was only able to pick up two of the packages. My biggest piece of feedback is that for a racing game it never feels like you are going fast. The game actually seems quite slow. I think tighter handling and a faster car would lead to a more fun experience. Just my two cents. I still enjoyed it through. Nice work!
Using x to move made it weirdly tricky. Nice game for a 12 hour jam!
That's really impressive for your first game! I found it a bit hard to control but liked everything otherwise. Nice job!
I tried a couple runs. The environment was nice and the game was funny. My main issue is that it feels like you are skating whenever you try to stop. If the controls were tightened up it would have been stellar. Even as is, I quite enjoyed it. Nice work!
Launching cards was surprisingly fun. Like the other commenters, I had trouble getting the cards to stay on the table but I had fun knocking their hats off :).
What a unique take on the theme! I was enjoying just the driving part (originally I couldn't figure out how to see the phone) but once I was able to play both simultaneously it became quite the challenge. Nice models as well!
Took me a little bit to figure out how the dice rolling actually played into the mechanics but I enjoyed it once I got the hang of them. Nice work!
