LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Space Drifter TD by Skosnowich 2018-04-27T20:46:33Z

That was pretty good. The music and overall feel was solid but I had some issues with the controls. Not sure if it was my PC but they seemed super sensitive and I would end up spinning in a circle, kind of tough. It was also laggy on my machine, but I guess that's a me issue.

Overall enjoyable. Good job.

Secret of the PeaDucks by Iak 2018-04-26T16:56:58Z

That was a pretty relaxing experience haha. Took some time to figure out what I had to do exactly, but once I did it was a good time trying to find all the items. Red room was a little tough because of player speed (jumping and then moving made it easier, but moving and jumping would lead to falling).

Was a fun game. Good job!

Shot! Shot! by smbe19 2018-04-27T20:57:22Z

that was a great idea haha. I enjoyed the overall game but couldn't win :(

The words chosen made it even harder, kept misspelling them. Added a good chalenge. Aiming also got tough fast but was manageable with timing.

Good job.

RTHM by fashionbatman 2018-04-27T00:07:45Z

That was pretty enjoyable haha. The music is solid and the beeps really compliment it, can get a good rhythem going.

I couldn't get anyone to like me sadly. Also I had some issues with the timing, maybe allowing late likes would be help a bit more.

Good job!

Unholy Holes by Alchemic 2018-04-26T03:23:47Z

That was fun, ha ha. Just spent time and I guess I beat it. Only three levels, right?

Anyhow, overall the game was great. I had a tough time getting the timing down and felt like my turrets got set up more by luck than anything. Also the arrow was super sensitive so sometimes it was hard getting the perfect angle.

Other than that, fun game. Good job!

Super Antithesis Kart by Lameosine 2018-04-24T02:10:44Z

That was an interesting game, to say the least!

My feedback: 1. Maybe subtitles. Sometimes I lost track of what was being said (big words being used) 2. Because audio was a big feature of the game, when the cars would drive by, I'd hear the initial spawn behind me, but then nothing as they drove by. Was a little weird.

Good job!

Dungeon Drifter by TwinGhosts 2018-04-26T17:24:51Z

That was pretty fun. Good music and art styles. UI was pretty clean too.

Kept dieing to enemies shooting me off screen, so that was disappointing. Otherwise, it was a pretty enjoyable game. Good job.

Cardbound by Silvae 2018-04-24T02:41:12Z

That was an interesting game. I couldn't beat the first level (either my timing was off, or my cards were wrong) and redrawing always gave me the same options so I wasn't sure what cards to pick. I enjoyed the music, was soothing. The pause also was really useful to try things out.

Good job!

Retrograde by corc0 2018-04-24T02:30:31Z

That was great! I really enjoyed the mood and atmosphere set up. Music was on point, and the idea was neat.

Good job!

Super Slime Slasher Ultra by sebastianscaini 2018-04-24T02:26:07Z

Overall the game was pretty fun. The idea was neat and the art was great. The voice over fit the mood.

The controls were off with mouse/keyboard. Couldn't aim sword properly and didn't know how to do the other moves. A crosshair might help a bit with mouse.

Other than that, was fun to play. Good job.

Super Chess Card Wars by Jamblefoot 2018-04-26T03:31:47Z

Took some time playing solo and overall it was an interesting experience. I think maybe a bit more explanation of what was expected would have helped. Hard to say how the game would be with two players, but I could see what you were aiming for. AI would of helped as well to get a feel as solo.

Good job though :)

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-26T23:57:57Z

Haha, that was fun. Played the Jam version and somehow cheesed it with the red lane. Cars didn't spawn there so sat there enjoying the conversation with the kids. Felt like a normal road trip, lol.

The controls were solid but the car itself was super heavy, so getting some tight escapes was tough. Otherwise it was great. Good job!

MiniGame Racing by Deprecat 2018-04-26T17:13:23Z

That was pretty fun. Music was great too. Ignoring mom made the game much easier to get through the levels, so that was great haha.

Good job!

Cat Pack by Potondo 2018-04-24T00:03:08Z

There needs to be a few balance issues addressed. - Bullets by enemy cats are shot from off screen. It can be difficult to react to the bullets at times. - Can be tough dodging bullets at times - Maybe have the pause timer be slower or recover faster? Can get easy to become overwhelmed.

Overall it was enjoyable. Had fun playing :)

A Knight of Music by Danny88881 2018-04-26T03:13:56Z

I really enjoyed the overall art and sound of the game. They complimented each other pretty well and set the overall mood of the game. The rhythm part was a little harder for me because I kept forgetting the keys and killing myself. Wish there was some leeway there so I could struggle through some parts rather than restart. Other than that, it was awesome.

Good job!

@corc0 Thanks. Yeah, I'm not sure why fullscreen stopped working but thanks for trying it out.

@Silvae Thanks. Yeah I can see how it can be confusing at the start. Will def spend more time explaining in future jams.

@WalterP Thanks. I was planning on adding those things but really started to run out of time.

@Danny88881 Thanks. That is an interesting bug. I'll spend some time trying to figure out why that happened. @Gizmolo Thanks. I'll definitely spend more time explaining next time.

@Jamblefoot Thanks. Like everyone else mentioned, I will definitely spend more time explaining next time.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

@Blinkenlights Thanks. I ran out of time before I was able to make it more obvious what was happening.

@BlazeDragon Thanks. I updated the page to make it easier to see.

@differentname Thanks. I've updated the view size. Yeah, I agree the first few levels were kind of slow, but I wanted to use them to get use to the world. It is actually kind of easy to win, once you get use to it.

@Elmeri THanks. I ran out of time before a tutorial. The dice was supposed to mimic table top dice rolling. Maybe it should have been more obvious.

Thanks
