overall a very solid entry! I enjoyed the art. A note on the menu - I was struggling to figure out what the controls were at first because I didn't see the controls button my first time in the menu. I think making easier to see would have definitely improved my experience.

Unfortunately the game launches to a black screen for me. I'm running on a Dell XPS 15 (2016) with Windows 10 and this happens regardless of the resolution I use. Not sure if this thread would be of any help, seems like other GMS users have run into this issue and fullscreen was the culprit: https://forum.yoyogames.com/index.php?threads/solved-game-launches-with-black-screen-for-some-people.28972/
Graphics look nice but are a little distracting. I had a hard time separating the background from the enemies that I needed to kill. Gameplay was solid and the restricted movement area was a nice take on the theme.
i had some weird issues on boot. game closed and reboot like 4 times before starting. once in though i got to play some enjoyable bullet hell. i liked the use of the theme as a mechanic alot, though it felt a little unfair at times. i liked the gameplay overall.

This looks surprisingly polished for a game jam entry. Nice work on the graphics! I like your restricted area mechanic a lot, had some stressful moments. The only thing that bugged me a bit is that there are times where it feels a bit unfair, especially when I am teleported into the restricted area and there are already a lot of bullets in there.
This game is pretty good. I really liked the graphics and it has depth. I can think of some minor gameplay improvements like the character should have some invincibility frames when respawning. As of now, you can respawn on top of some enemy projectile and die immediately.

Not bad, no bad at all!
A pretty polished game. Graphics are pretty good, although the different scalings of pixel art can be a little jarring. Some of the sound effects seem a little strange (like the point-picking-up one).
I think my main problem is I was confused on a few points: - Can you kill the first large butterflies without bombs? - Is the enemy with 1500 health the final boss? I was taken to the home screen immediately after fighting it, but it may just be that I died twice.
Speaking of dying twice, if you are killed and there are bullets where you respawn, you basically lose immediately no matter how many lives you have left. As mentioned by others, invincibility frames would help.
There was one bug -- some of the large flower bullets stopped moving after the "running out of space" box disappeared, and they simply stayed on screen for a while until despawning. Also, z to shoot didn't work on my computer.
Overall, a good, solid game.
@themonsterfromthedeep Yup', the last ennemy is the final boss. I just didn't get the time to offer a clean boss fight but I worked on his bullet pattern (the purple cage) on the 2nd day so I wanted to add it anyway. ^^' We also planned to add more bullet patterns for this boss, but like I said the time was against us. That's why this end was such light.
Yes, you can kill the first large butterflies without bombs. Originally, it was imagined like a long to beat ennemy with an other bullet pattern, which was too difficult to create without a longer play testing, so I replaced it with this pattern, but his health stayed the same.
About the invincibility frames, they were of course planned, it's just a ridiculous oversight. -_-'
@sauski I'm sorry for this issue. I forced the fullscreen to prevent problems with screen resolution. In the future I'll work on a "clean version" of the game with a real level, a real boss and (I hope) without bugs. I'll take the occasion to add an "option" screen, so you can set the fullscreen yourself.
Otherwise, I'm happy with your feedbacks! Keep in mind that this is our first game and our first Ludum Dare!
I wish there was a better contrast between the characters/projectiles and the background, since it can be quite harsh on the eyes. Anyway, it is quite fun and I loved the boss's purple cage.
Pretty good graphics. That is the main thing that I liked. Other than that, the main problem is that the enemies blend to the background, making it pretty difficult to play. Plus preferably, if the whole game is keyboard based, the main menu should be also. Other than that, solid entry. I do not know how this ties to the theme of "Running out of space" however. I like unforgiving games, but this some time does not even give you a chance, especially when enemies are everywhere.

I like this! A cute theme, a nice artstyle. Great sound, even though I felt some effects were missing. At first I didn't get how it implemented the theme but when I got a bit farther I got it. And it was really cool that you restricted the moving space in more than one way. Yup, I definitely like this.

Great graphics and the audio really helps you get into the game.

I like the graphics and audio. Brought back memories. I completely missed the controls button at the top right corner of the main menu, and spent some time trying to figure out how to play the game. You could make the button bigger, so it's noticeable on the main menu.
And since this is your first game and first Ludum Dare, I'd say job well done.

Projectiles and enemies actually fill all space you have =) As for gameplay: it would be cool if there was Invulnerable mode after die. Now, if I die during battle and appear again chance that I will immediately die again is incredibly high. On the whole is was good little experience. Giant bomb are awesome =)

Heyo, the game is pretty fun! I don't play a lot of bullet hells so this was very fun! I really liked how tight the controls are as well and the graphics were quite nice!
My only gripe is that the enemies do kinda blend with the BG like @josh-klecka said. I'd recommened you you do a bit of contrast such as making the BG a bit more unsaturated while the enemies are more saturated so that they pop out.
And as @wetbox also said, because there's no invulnerability, you'll more likely to die on the next hit the second you are spawned especially as it's a 1 Hit KO. This is just a personal preference but I'd much rather I had a bar of health or the three hearts instead of the 1 hit but adding a vulnerability would really help on a fundamental level.
I'm pretty impressed as this is your first game and Ludum Dare, I'm very proud of you my dood!
the game is really hard and i always die right at the start.
Not bad... I like idea

Nice bullet hell game, I am not a fan but this was defnietly welcoming with all the selvatic background and all.
Nicely packed! By the way I managed to finish it and beat the giant buterfly-ish boss with a couple extra lifes. Yay! :yum:
Like this game. The limited space is a very cool feature and match perfectly with the theme. I've got a little bug: I've lost a life against the boss and when I was back, I was outside of the limited box, a lot easier to kill it obviously. x)
Good job! :D

Awesome game! I enjoy the art and mood of it. Keep up the good work!
There is now a "clean" version of the game!
Now, we have a little options menu where you can set the fullscreen yourself. After dying, you have 3 seconds of invincibility. Some bugs have been fixed. The boss is a bit harder to beat, now. :D
Thank you for testing our game !
