Interesting solution, thanks for the game it was fun to play!
I got stuck after getting the wood axe. Up to that point, I was enjoying myself. I enjoyed the design with regards to world changes being permanent. Nice work!
I got stuck after opening the door with the green key. Clever design of the dungeon so far.
Really interesting concept, I must say :). Good job!
Hi @craftlord, you're stuck on the last puzzle then. Try to find the secret room, this might require a specific sacrifice though ;-)
Tip: With some slippery shoes you might slide to your death. (The death you want)
Hi @silvae,
Only 2 more puzzles to go. The puzzle you're stuck is indeed not that clear.
Tip: Remember at the start you opened a golden door with a golden key. And now you're stuck behind a green door...
The mood is very good!Great work!
Cool! Great puzzle game, right in the theme! The music fits the game well. I love the end ;)
i like this puzzle game. finish the game already. only one level?
Awesome little game! took me 41 tries to beat, most of them on the final puzzle. Would love to see an extended version of this...
Lovely little puzzle game. The death sound effect was a bit gruesome and loud for something that's played over and over like that, but the rest of the sounds were well balanced, plus the music was good. Some interactions weren't really clear, like painting the key green, so maybe some hints or descriptions of what you encounter would have been helpfull. Made me giggle at the end as well. Great job!
Really good game! I really like the concept of sacrificing yourself for the others.
Great game! Just the right balance of pondering and progress for me. Really liked the solution to the final problem.
Spoiler:
Never did figure out that I needed to change the key color, but I solved it accidentally.
Nice game, puzzles are not too easy but not too difficult (even if I admit that I found the last one by pure luck ^^). Really good job overall :)
What fun. A really neat little game. I enjoyed the progression, but I think the slippery shoes were both a little too necessary each run, and a little too far away. Grabbing them each run felt a little more like "padding."
Maybe find a way to make them more optional, or closer to the start point with less steps allowed?
Very absorbing, very clever. It's a little difficult to tell what some of the interactive objects are but I suppose finding that out the hard way is part of the tomb raider life. I appreciate how some of them are complete non sequiturs though; the second door gave me a laugh.
I enjoyed the puzzle. Cool mechanic for temporary and permanent changes.
I seem to be stuck right before the end! (After opening green doors.) 25 boys died already but I'll try a few more times and write a more detailed feedback after that. But I'm pretty sure I'll be giving this all 5*.
Got it! :D That was really smart. I loved all of the puzzles, especially the green doors though. I think this is one of my top 3 games from the LD43 entries I have tried so far! If you ever team up again to expand the game, please let me know, it's a really great concept.
I have two points of criticism (hopefully constructive!):
• When you move by one arrow click, the transition, especially with the light moving, is a little harsh and flashy. Of course, that problem disappears with the shoes! But a smoother move would be more pleasant to look at, I think. Then again it could be a stylistic choice.
• And I do agree with one of the commenters above that the death sound is a bit too gruesome, so I had a dilemma of hearing the neat soundtrack vs avoiding the sound effect.
Oh, I also found one typo ("you poor the water").
But back to what I enjoyed: the graphics and soundtrack really set the mood. The concept fits the theme really well and the little skeleton leftovers make the sacrifices feel more "real" than just a counter. Overall I would recommend this game to anyone that enjoys exploring/puzzle games!
Hmm, stuck after cutting down the tree, not sure what to do. (I'm terrible at puzzle games like this.) Very well done and super polished!
@disperse Thank you for the compliments.
Here is a little tip: The giant cake/christmastree you unlocked via cutting down the tree is actually a fountain with green paint. And you can use paint to change the color of certain objects.
En voilà une idée rondement bien menée (because of your title I speak french).
A good idea that makes you want to play again and again. It was fun and the general ambience is good.
Hi !, Nice game, I like the concept and the mechanic, it was fun ;) The mood is so cool!
very nice job ;p
I died 37 times but couldn't stop until I got the treasure! It's just too addictive! The music seems a bit dull at first, but really sets the perfect background for the riddle and I'm having an ear worm now
