This game is really nice to look at and this is a really neat concept. I wish it was a little easier to manipulate the items. I feel that it takes a little too long to get the items exactly where I want them, and then if they fall off I have to start from scratch. I would like some sort of quick reset button to put the items back to how I stacked them and try the drive again.

mr-matt 2017-12-05 03:35

@yodog Thank you very much! You're absolutely right, not a whole lot we could do in the time frame but in future we'll probably add an undo system and a better movement system.

sleepygrin 2017-12-05 03:43

Great looking game and original concept ! :D

mr-matt 2017-12-05 03:49

@sleepyGrin Thank you!

sulleox 2017-12-05 08:10

Really good looking game ! quite hard but it become easier with more items.

maxime-catel 2017-12-05 08:20

That was a fun experience :p

mr-matt 2017-12-05 08:21

@sulleox Thank you! Interesting that you found it easier with more items, I found it harder!

mr-matt 2017-12-05 08:23

@maxime-catel cheers!

shaddo 2017-12-05 17:29

The music is amazing, the graphics too and the concept is interesting, just a little bug when droping a luggage IN the car XD but the atmoshpere is really good :D

jeromwaarom 2017-12-05 17:30

Really fun game and I love the idea behind it! the 3D gizmo combined with the camera could be a bit finicky, but over all a very good LD game!

mr-matt 2017-12-05 17:36

@shaddo Thank you for the feedback! Lol yes I probably should have made a collision system so it will only place when it's not colliding with the car.

@jeromwaarom Thank you very much! Yes it is a bit tricky to use, in future I'll have to polish it up a bit.

interpol 2017-12-05 18:43

Beautiful graphics. Post processing made the mood: some noise shaders and DOF are cool.

The game is hard, the best way is to move really really slow, but the sun tells you to go faster.

Even alone you did a good job for 72-hour jam. Nice!

the-shadermaster 2017-12-05 18:45

Love the concept :D Graphics were very nice as well!

Just wish the controls were better & I have the feeling the game is a bit laggy?

sleepygrin 2017-12-05 18:50

Beautiful graphics damn, i'd really need a lighting lesson from you ! The only black point is the game feel which feels a bit clunky ! Nice job :D

mr-matt 2017-12-05 18:54

@interpol Yes post processing is the best thing that ever happened to unity in terms of graphics! I actually did it with a friend btw, just waiting for him to friend me so I can add him as an author.

@the-shadermaster Thank you very much! The performance will depend on your computer's specs, though I didn't have any time for optimization so its very likely that there's a bit of lag.

@sleepygrin Haha, maybe I'll make a tutorial one day!

huitre 2017-12-05 19:22

That's super cute! Only things is that for me the packing stage feels a bit like work =) !

mr-matt 2017-12-05 19:31

@huitre Haha, thank you!

cklidify 2017-12-05 20:47

Everything looked, sounded, and felt great. I'm just going to make two suggestions (nitpicks): -ALT + Click to move the camera felt un-intuitive, try making it so holding right click moves it -The handles that you drag shouldn't rotate with the object, they should always point towards the positive direction on those axis Other than that, fantastic game!

mr-matt 2017-12-05 20:57

@cklidify Thank you for the feedback! Those are some great ideas! I'll definitely implement them in the future!

keilazu 2017-12-05 22:19

AWESOME! maybe i need this before move to my new apartment lol, anyway is great game, 11/10 with eurobeat songs i dorifuto *lord please forgive me for what i've sinned, i'm in super hyper mood that i can't control myself with eurobeat

mr-matt 2017-12-05 22:20

@keilazu Haha thank you!

cortexdeveloper 2017-12-05 23:47

Jeez. Very nice lowpoly.

gareth-spencer 2017-12-06 00:08

@cortexdeveloper Thank you, I spent a fair amount of time on it!

randomphantom 2017-12-06 00:26

This was absolutely STELLAR lowpoly modelling, polishing was heavy in this one with cool lighting and day/night cycles, and a groovy track. I guess a minor nitpick/bug is that when you stack objects, the collision between them is sometimes ignored, and suddenly when you begin they explode apart. Would be good if upon restarting you get them back to where they were previously placed as well. Great job!

mr-matt 2017-12-06 00:29

@randomphantom Thank you very much, means a lot!! An undo system is something I'm keen to implement in the future but there just wasn't time to do that in the jam. Not a whole lot I can do about the explosions, I guess that's just what rigidbodies do! Though I suppose I could make it so the player can't begin if an object is inside another...

retrospecter 2017-12-06 00:31

this game is fantastic. One complaint is that its a bit difficult to figure out where exactly we are supposed to go since the gps is a bit small. It also lagged a bit, but im sure thats just my machine. Good work

gareth-spencer 2017-12-06 00:32

@randomphantom Thank you very much! We spent many many hours perfecting the low poly look and polishing it off. As for those nit-picks, we really would have liked to fix those things but time just didn't allow for it. We will most likely continue developing this idea a little more and polish it up, and add some more levels.

gareth-spencer 2017-12-06 00:35

@retrospecter Thank you! Yes, that is something we would have liked to spend a little more time on, and as for the lag, we didn't have time for optimisation but in the future we should be able to fix that.

emedg 2017-12-06 00:39

LOL It hard to find a good place to put the things but is a part of the fun! really love it!

mr-matt 2017-12-06 00:43

@emedg lol, glad you love it!!

britt-henderson 2017-12-06 00:52

Very fun! i did find ways to hide luggage INSIDE the car tho- easy way of making the lugage not fall, untill i accidentally flipped the car over when placing a box under it xD

Screen Shot 2017-12-05 at 4.32.58 PM.png

Car was a little hard to controll, and putting the lugage in position felt a little tedious. But the graphic were stellar!! nice horn honk. 10/10 on the horn honk

mr-matt 2017-12-06 01:02

@britt-henderson Hahaha, nice try, hiding the luggage XD! The car is sort of intentionally hard, gotta be a challenge! In the future we'll improve the positioning of luggage, unfortunately, there wasn't too much time for polishing. Thanks for the kind words about the graphics though! @gareth-spencer will appreciate that

britt-henderson 2017-12-06 01:07

That definitely makes sense. I mean, the challenge of the car didn't feel unfair- i was just noting that it was in fact a challenge. It didn't feel bad tho. For the luggage, i would suggest mapping controls to arrow keys (or wasd) and then giving the player an up/down button because this might be much easier to control than use mouse and dragging by vectors.

It was definitely worth player and super fun. :)

mr-matt 2017-12-06 01:11

Good suggestion however arrow keys are already mapped to the rotation. But we'll figure something out! Thank's for playing and we're glad you enjoyed it!!

glitchroy 2017-12-06 02:27

Now that is innovation if I've ever seen it! Cool idea! The controls are a bit too much for placing the stuff on the car, but the precision driving is pretty fun. Looks great, too! I like how it get's dark after you've taken too long

jlreymendez 2017-12-06 02:44

This is one of the most polished games I played in this LD. Excellent implementation of arts and mechanics! There are a lot of things that could be added in the future to improve the experience, like transit for starters.

But a great entry!

Just one comment regarding the audio I would tweak the volumes of the different sounds sources so they are all in ballance. Right now the crickets are very loud.

mr-matt 2017-12-06 02:49

@glitchroy Thank you very much!

@jlreymendez Thank you for the kind words, very much appreciated! Yes audio could use some work, but that wasn't really a priority given the time frame, in the future we'll improve that.

leandre-renouard 2017-12-06 18:04

I very Like your game, the design very cool very good Jobs, the 3D model are very great. the map isi very cool, it's a very good level design. However think we could rotate around the car When we put object on it.

It's a very great Game.

mr-matt 2017-12-06 18:08

@leandre-renouard Ah, you actually can do that, but only in edit mode. To do that hold left alt, click, and drag.

Thanks for the kind words tho!

rontz 2017-12-06 22:36

Cool game, i like the concept and the art - plus the awesome summer evening feeling =) The control is a little bit slow, but i guess, this can be fixed easily. And you could add some friction to the car, so it will stop after a while. You definitely put in a lot of work, I like it =)

mr-matt 2017-12-06 23:01

@rontz Cheers! Thanks for the feedback too!

richard-scott 2017-12-07 21:04

Amazing looking game, fun concept, nice touch with having the day/night cycle. One improvement would be being able to rotate the objects while placing them on the car.

mr-matt 2017-12-07 21:33

@richard-scott Thank you very much! You actually can rotate objects by using the arrow keys btw!

hbocao 2017-12-07 21:47

The game looks gorgeous!

Very cool concept, but I got beat by the controls. I find the controls a little bit weird and putting the bags on the car was too slow and wonky. But this is minor stuff and totally fixable. I hope you guys continue to work on it. You did a awesome job! And welcome to the LD! See ya next time!

mr-matt 2017-12-07 22:17

@hbocao Thank you very much! We sure will continue expanding and polishing it in the future, never know, maybe we'll get it up on steam!

neontropics 2017-12-07 23:09

Very nice game!

The idea and execution is super good, and the graphics have a nice dreamlike suburbia feeling. It is really very polished with the edit and drive mode functioning perfectly. It is probably only let down by the fact that you quickly get a bit tired of having to do the edit part before retrying - it is just a bit slow to move everything one by one. I don't really know of a good solution to this thought...

Good work!

gareth-spencer 2017-12-07 23:16

@neontropics Thank you very much. In the future we would probably allow you to restart but keep the furniture the way you had it, to avoid having to slowly redo it.

failedstarfish 2017-12-08 13:16

Really liked the concept and the game looked really nice. Great job

mr-matt 2017-12-08 17:45

@failedstarfish Cheers! Glad you liked it!

louis-denizet 2017-12-09 10:35

This game is amazing, would be perfect if placing the items would be easier, I had hard times placing objects :( apart from this it's the best theme use I've seen and it feels great to play :D

randomhuman 2017-12-09 15:32

Congratulations on publishing your first game! It is really impressive looking, especially with that hectic day/night cycle, and the gameplay is solid and challenging. I would go with an alternative control for rotating the camera in edit mode - right or middle mouse click maybe, but that is just a minor thing. Really well done overall.

2017-12-09 18:11

@louis-denizet Thanks! Yes the controls are a little finicky, we'll improve that in the future.

@randomhuman Thank you very much! Yes someone else mentioned right mouse button for the camera, its a good idea, I think i'll change it to that in the future!

gatox 2017-12-11 17:06

Very nice game! I think this is my favorite one from this Ludum Dare! Congratulations!

mr-matt 2017-12-11 17:42

@gatox Thank you very much, glad you liked it!

@indie-gaming Awesome video! Thanks for sharing our game!

hisfantor 2017-12-15 22:52

I like the controls, also the physics fell very well

mr-matt 2017-12-16 17:28

@nisfantor thanks!

bbaf 2017-12-17 17:58

Cool idea and cool low poly graphics. But in my case, I had to struggle with a 3D gizmo which sometimes behaved too fast, and sometimes - too slow for my mouse. Anyway, good game! Good luck with future development!

mr-matt 2017-12-19 04:52

@bbaf Thank you very much, hopefully that will be fixed in future, it caused me trouble too!

2017-12-24 12:33

Covered this on my channel and had such a blast! Thank you for making an awesome game with very limited time! https://youtu.be/flX_nQgf1Rc

2017-12-25 19:06

@rdtechy Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Great video too! Thanks for sharing it!

2017-12-31 17:54

Nice graphics, interesting concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzMlvyUelZw

2021-12-20 15:58

That's a really cool game! It reminds me a lot about the first time I moved, and it was a disaster. I don't even understand why I didn't contact a moving company and decided to do everything myself. But at least the second time, I was smart enough to hire [long distance movers](https://www.moveeast.com/), and they helped me move in no time without any problems.

flokky23fg 2022-07-11 20:39

Cool game. however, if seriously, when in real life it comes to the question of moving and their organization, then questions may arise here. After all, it is often difficult to find a company that can provide high-quality services like this.

2022-07-14 13:06

I absolutely agree with you. I myself recently had a problem with moving to Calgary. When I first started looking for such a company, I was amazed when I learned the prices for the services. I can still understand paying for the additional fuel costs of the truck, but paying for the time the truck sits is nonsense. Therefore, I am very glad that I was lucky enough to find a moving company in calgary https://calgarymoverspro.ca that has good and reasonable prices for its services.

2022-07-21 10:56

Relocation is really difficult process anyway:) I can say this from my personal experience!

2022-07-21 12:05

Hi. Yes, I agree. Simply put the stress of moving can make it seem a lot tougher than it really is. One of the best ways to combat this stress is to plan everything out and make sure that you’re prepared each step of the way. Or to get help from professional [moving company](https://vitalmovers.com/movers-king-city/). In my opinion this will be the best variant!
