LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Marching Band Parade by fancy89 2017-12-07T07:08:18Z

Really nice to look at and a great idea for a game. The difficulty level is a bit off the charts though and I lose almost my entire crew right away. After a few attempts, I managed to make it to the end with two musicians. Would love to see some more design on the musicians themselves (maybe instruments?).

Science Cat Hell: Extreme Maze Edition by dwemthy 2017-12-06T03:23:55Z

Waited for about 8 minutes for the game to load. Got about 2/3 of the way there and it's not loading anymore. Not an internet issue on my end. Will be happy to play when it's up and running. Edit: Got it running and played a bit. I like the look of the game, but really did not like those pop-ups. If I'm aiming at a group of enemies, I have to aim away to click out of the pop-up window. Fits the theme, but gets ridiculous almost right away.

Samurai Shaver by DDRKirbyISQ 2017-12-20T01:31:14Z

My first all 5s review. Nice works!

Super Cargo by gene-z 2017-12-12T00:26:41Z

The idea is so simple, but it was very enjoyable to play! Definitely feels unfinished, but I'd love to see what comes of this. I'd like to see different kinds of terrain, and some kind of indication of when I complete the objective. Maybe some music to go with it.

PullPals by eric-lathrop 2017-12-06T22:47:28Z

Really neat idea. Would love to see this on mobile with more levels and challenges.

Kinball by Jose Pedro Dias 2017-12-11T23:48:41Z

Nice! easy gameplay, but difficult enough to keep me going. Nice sounds!

Tony Hawk's Hatchback Stunt Simulator: Ghost Protocol by Eli Delventhal 2017-12-08T15:01:32Z

@galan Keep trying! It's totally worth it!

Tax Dodgers by rEaX 2017-12-12T00:32:54Z

Took me a while to get used to the one tap one step mechanic, but finally figured it out. could be an option to have a continuous movement instead of individual steps. Also shoutout to the wilhelm scream.

Tax Dodgers by rEaX 2017-12-12T17:48:19Z

@reax Awesome! being able to hold down the move arrows makes a big difference for me. Weird that you couldn't see my game. check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/tony-hawks-hatchback-stunt-simulator-ghost-protocol

Cats Per Second by Merrol 2017-12-07T19:28:22Z

Enjoyed this quite a bit. I will say that I cheated a bit and had my wife read the letters that she saw and I typed them in, but we had fun doing it!

BOOTY LOOTER! by MrLeePerry 2017-12-14T18:08:22Z

Really fun! Loved the look and has a super smooth gameplay. At first, I hated the music, but then I kept playing and it started to grow on me, then I loved it so much. Nice work!

Retro Rocket Run! by gwolf86 2017-12-05T00:40:01Z

This game has a great look and feel. The music is nice at first but gets a bit too grating after a while without any real variation. I would also love to see the score as you go, but I can see how that might affect whether I want to pick up coins or not. It might also be nice to get some kind of visual telling me what effect has been activated, but again I can see how that takes away from the surprise of the game. Overall I like it!

Tetripitalism by chadrbanks 2017-12-12T00:40:54Z

very cool idea. Would love to see it developed a bit more. I found just playing regular ol tetris style got me pretty far and I wasn't buying or destroying too many blocks. Maybe incorporate extra financial elements (stock exchange component?) to make the gameplay more heavily rely on the capitalist side. Also, nice work with the music.

Panic Blocks by Darkfire92 2017-12-05T02:02:33Z

Really great! I love this concept. SFX and music would really put it over the top. I also noticed that you can just hit all three keys at the same time, so maybe only allow one at a time? Would just have to hit them in quick succession.

Helicopter Crate Overload by Bificommander 2017-12-07T23:16:37Z

I think I've spent the most time with this game out of all of the games so far. Very frustrating, but very rewarding when you get it. Great concept and execution.

Radical Relocation by mr-matt 2017-12-05T03:28:07Z

This game is really nice to look at and this is a really neat concept. I wish it was a little easier to manipulate the items. I feel that it takes a little too long to get the items exactly where I want them, and then if they fall off I have to start from scratch. I would like some sort of quick reset button to put the items back to how I stacked them and try the drive again.

Interview at Cacophony by Christoph 2017-12-05T04:55:24Z

This is an excellent ear training tool! I actually like the fact that it's so cacophonous and not super melodic. It really adds to the difficulty. Nice work! The instrument that I had the hardest time with was the cello. It just gets a little too buried in the mix. I'm going to share this with my high school music appreciation class.

LD46 — Keep it alive

UhUhUhUh Staying Alive by Josh Ayres 2020-05-02T22:25:18Z

Nice work! Using Staying Alive was a great choice. I really like the idea of combining the DDR elements with obstacles. I wish there was a little more to it though. Maybe you could collect power ups, or deflect bottles. The first song was pretty easy and striaghtforward. The second song was doable for me, but the sync got off and was about half a beat behind by the end of the game. It would also be nice to include some sort of visual element that indicates beats like most rhythm games. The art could probbaly use some polish and a bit more variety, but overall, nice job!

Sunset Directive by incobalt 2020-04-26T05:44:23Z

This was a fun read! Really creative and well thought out. I enjoyed your ending(s). I liked the music, but would have liked to see it develop with the story a bit more instead of just ending after a while. Overall, great work!

The Flower of The Elmhearst by SarahFrisk 2020-04-22T00:51:25Z

I also got stuck in the library loop on the Mac build. I was also sad that there wasn't any audio. I saw in the preferences that there is supposed to be music, sound, and voice, but I didn't hear anything. The drawings are great and the story seems interesting.

Paper Disco by Moskoman 2020-04-22T22:26:39Z

Great audio, design, and feel! I would like to have seen some sort of calibration. I felt like I had to move ahead of the beat in order for it to move in time, which made the game a little difficult for me. I'd also like more of a chance to recover after dropping the plant. It flt like if I missed just one beat, or get hit once, I just have to wait for the level to end. I'd also like to save the game some how so that I can come back without having to start completly over. Overall, great work and I look forward to seeing it develop.

Seafood by fatPenguin 2020-04-23T05:25:48Z

Nice work! Really beautiful art, and I like the idea for the game. The controls WERE a little clunky on keyboard (no controller... sorry), but I managed to get the hang of it after a bit. The music did get a little too repetitive for me after a while. I'd like to hear some more variation there. Overall, nice work!

Keith's Flint & Steel by johnnysix 2020-04-27T01:05:10Z

Great look and awesome music/sounds. RIP Keith. I played both the Compo and the post-Dare version. The post-dare version definitely polishes up some of the things that I had issues with, but the fox was even more annoying to deal with. I agree that there should be some way to deal with it instead of just letting it take the wood. Overall, great work. Nice job!

Father... Musn't I Kill It? by Andrfw 2020-04-27T00:12:35Z

!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!! "Press spae to kill. OK! ::dies:: LOL WTF is this nonsense?! How does this fit the theme?!" And then it hit me. This IS the theme and I am the enemy. I've just murdered this poor egg. I hit refresh only to see that there was no return. My egg was toast. I had to know what was in the egg. I opened the game up in another browser. There it was. Good as new. My wife walks in and I begin to tell her about the game that I am playing. While I'm talking to her about it, she reads the instructions as the egg is about to hatch, and without blinking, hits the spacebar. It is dead once again. How do I bring it back?? I clear my cookies, and for a third time, I watch as it grows and becomes the creature it was meant to be. It's been about 20 minutes now and it is still bouncing back and forth, begging me to hit that spacebar. I'm tempted, but cannot bring myself to do it. Beautful work.

Symbio-tech by GenericToast 2020-04-24T05:45:24Z

Simple concept, but deceptively tricky! I liked it a lot. Took me a while to get a handle on the controls (actually, I'm still figuring it out), but I think there's a lot of potential here. The sound design is nice, the look is polished, and I love that there's a leaderboard. Nice work!

Egg Tender by ludevum 2020-04-22T19:16:09Z

nice look, good feel. I just wish there was a little more to it. Maybe more obstacles or different things to throw in the fire.

Good Squire by Eli Delventhal 2020-04-25T18:39:18Z

@ramonsimarro No estoy seguro por qué la música no funciona. Es possible que es un bug. Estás jugando en Windows, Mac, o web? Podrías escuchar los otros sonidos?

the Early Worm by alec 2020-04-21T22:27:24Z

Took me a while to figure out the controls, but once I got it it was fun. The game plays totally different depending on the browser that I ran it on. It was much easier to play on Firefox. The audio was very choppy in both browsers, but in different ways.

Flower Picker by yellowlime 2020-04-26T23:30:33Z

That ending got me in the feels! I also checked out the post-comp version, which addressed some of my biggest concerns. A few more suggestions: I don't think you need the in-game clock, seeing as how so many people are outside and the game starts you off on Monday at midnight. Feels weird to run into a priest at 3 AM and have them tell me they'll see me on Sunday. I like the solo guitar music, but feels a little stream-of-consciousness to me and got a little distracting. It needs a little more consistency and could use more volume. Overall, great work!

Keepin' Alive! by sofibab 2020-04-22T00:24:25Z

DISCODISCODSICODSIISODICOSDICOSIDOCIISODICOSIDCOSIDCOSIDOCISDOCI. Would love to see a few more features. Maybe a reward for hitting a certain number of discos. Maybe the timer gets faster as you get more discos.

Keep it A.I.ive by Taffaz 2020-04-22T19:39:20Z

I love the concept and design. I have a few requests that I think would help. A reset button (maybe a self-destruct?), Make the remaining tiles more obvious, checkpoints (having to start over at the end of a long level is frustrating, more music (the small little bit of music you have was fine at first, but got old very quickly), the ability to control speed other than boosts to speed up the game play. This is a very cool puzzle game and I'd love to see it developed more.

Joe Biden Campaign Simulator by Kevin Sun 2020-04-26T23:39:33Z

Took a while to figure out, but once I got the hang of it, I had a good time. I'd like to be able to hold a button instead of spamming it to move a part. Also, since the only Audio in your game is a Springsteen song, you should probably opt out of the Audio category.

Chicken Shuffle by helpcomputer 2020-04-23T19:22:07Z

This has a nice look, and a good concept, but I wanted a little bit more of a challnge. Maybe multiple levels, or spreading out the areas where you need to plant. It was fun, but I'd like to see more development.

Get the Barky Started by Sibi 2020-04-21T21:39:12Z

Great concept! Super original. I had fun playing it! My one note is that I would like to be able to bark at someone by being close to them rather than facing them directly. It made it pretty challenging to "land" a bark on my target.

Lantern Lagoon by Quade Zaban 2020-04-23T05:41:37Z

I really like the idea behind this game. I like the puzzle aspect and the look is really nice. The controls gave me a lot of issues, though, and I kept getting turned around and falling off of the bridge area before being able to get across. I'm going to come back to this one and give it another go.

BEARable apples by FlyingKiwi 2020-04-22T19:23:38Z

good fun! I love the look, and the power-ups are a nice touch. The sound design is also nice. The music was nice at first, but I would like to hear a bit more variation in the saxophone parts.

Dying Concerto by Johannimations 2020-04-21T19:52:27Z

I'd love to play this if you can do a web or Mac build.

Circus Daddy by PatteDeCanaard 2020-04-22T02:52:41Z

Pretty fun. A little hard ot control, but I enjoyed it.

Life Light by Madbarron 2020-04-30T05:34:36Z

Took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but once I got it I had a good time! The music and SFX are really excellent. Some of the best audio I've encountered in this jam so far. The art felt a little mis-matched to me. Some of it was pixel are and some of it wasn't. It didn't feel as cohesive. The game itself was pretty fun once I was able to get past the first moss/stick part. It's a nice survival mechanic and easy enough to understand, but after a while it lost its sense of challenge once I found the backpacks. It felt like I was just burning (no pun intended) time. I'd like to see another kind of obstacle introduced that keeps the challenge to the end. Overall, it was a fun play! Thanks!

Keep It Alive by William Carlisle 2020-04-26T23:16:18Z

Firstly, nice entry! I think that there's a lot of promise here. Some suggestions: make movement WASD, and add in-game instructions. I was finally able to figure out how to buy arrows and med kits after a while. I think that mechanic needs to be rethought a bit so that it's a bit clearer what's happening. Some sfx would go a long way here. Keep it up!

Turtle Daddy by dummydojo 2020-04-24T19:47:23Z

Aweome work! It took several tries to get the hang of it, but after getting used to the mechanics, it was a lot of fun! The art is awesome and the music is excellent. I'd like to hear just a little more variation in the sound effects, particularly when you pick up a turtle. The same sound playing each time is a little grating. But overall, awesome job!

Go Cockroach go! by Ulisses 2020-04-24T19:28:48Z

Nice idea, but a little too challenging from the outset. It would be nice if you could survive a hit or two. Also, it would be nice for the music to continue playing after you die instead of starting over. Overall with some minor tweaks, this could be a great, fun game. Nice work!

Rouge Connection by Edalbung 2020-04-24T19:38:44Z

The polished look got me to check this out. It looks really great! The gameplay concept is good, but doesn't feel challenging at first. I found myself just standing and clicking left, right, left, right, until finally more enemies came from both sides. Then I found myself overwhelemd with no ability to survive. I think there's a sweetspot in the middle somewhere that would make this game challenging without being overwhelming. Your SFX are also a little on the loud side compared to the music. I turned it up because I liked the music, but almost pooped my pants when the first soud effect went off. Overall, this feels like a nice start and I'd love to see how it develops.

Cacophony: The Ballad of the Celestial Goblin-King by Renikor 2020-04-21T20:21:18Z

Took me a while to figure out the mecahnics of this game. I think there needs to be some more on screen instruction particularly when it comes to equipping a weapon and eating food. And frankly, the eating mechanic needs to be simpler and less time consuming since it happens so much. It took me about 3 plays before I ran into any shopkeeper, and when I did, I couldn't figure out how to buy anything. I finally figured out that you had to click ON the food in the menu, not just the bar. That menu also covers up your inventory, so it's hard to tell if you actually added it to your inventory. Also, it looks like there are 5 equipment slots, but I could only equip one thing in the bottom-most slot. EDIT: I finally figured out that the helmet equips in the top slot. This was not clear. I never made it to the Goblin King. I just kept dying due to exhaustion from not having enough food to eat. Finally, for a game called cacophony, I was expecting there to be some kind of sound. That's what actually drew me to try the game out. I was disappointed to see that it was silent except for the title screen. I like your pixel art and textures!

Plox by GammaFlight 2020-04-24T05:54:21Z

I tried about 5 times and just kept getting stuck. Had to hit refresh each time. The music is great! Just wish I could actually play the game without having to start completly over each time.

Spacewhale Multiverse (Only You Can Save The) by SpreadsheetLover 2020-04-21T19:34:55Z

Hey folks, do you have the controls listed to play without a controller? I was able to figure out that arrows move and spacebar fires, but only until you pickup the orb. I couldn't figure out how to drop it and I couldn't figure out how to continue after game over without quitting the game. EDIT: Figured it out. On Mac use spacebar or control to shoot, option to drop.

I like the look of the game and I like the idea, but the difficulty curve is really high from the outset. Maybe I'm just terrible at this kind of game, but I couldn't make it past one loop of the music. I stayed on the death screen just to hear the music finish. The look and sounds are awesome, but the gameplay is a little frustrating.

BEATSMITH by Patsui 2020-04-21T19:05:57Z

I love the idea of the game, but had some trouble with the beat side of things. The god's clapping wasn't lining up with the beats of the music so it was impossible for me to tell when exactly I was supposed to clap. Also, in your tutorial you had the screen divider to tell you when it was god's turn to clap, but you didn't have that in the game itself so I didn't know how many beats I'm supposed to wait between claps. I was finally able to make it past the first level by guessing where the beats were supposed to line up. I finally figured out that you wanted the claps to happen ON the beats even thoguh the god's clapping was off the beats. And the hard levels that involve syncopation are virtually impossible with the audio being off. UPDATE: I just looked at your gameplay video and things look a lot more ON the beat, so I think there's an issue with the web build (I'm on a Mac and can't download the game). Overall it just needs a little more clarity on what exactly is expected of the player such as when exactly to strike. It doesn't mention waiting until the next measure of music anywhere.

Air for Inspiration by studiocurtis 2020-04-22T00:58:59Z

Very cool concept. I would like to see it expanded a bit more.

Mimi the Mouse by Fractal Flower Girl 2020-04-21T19:51:23Z

Love the look! Nice work everyone! My one note is that the audio for the cat is pretty distorted and when it plays more than one at a time the signal clips. Would have liked to hear a few more cat sounds.

LD49 — Unstable

Tones of the World by khaotom 2021-10-06T05:16:46Z

Loved the synths swirling around in space. The game play was trickier than I thought and I wasn't quite sure what I was doing exactly, but I still very much enjoyed it!

CYBER LANCER by juegoman 2021-10-07T04:59:34Z

I think there's some serious potential here. But I agree with most of the comments above. The controls were not as smooth as I would hope and the game over is really quick. I like the sounds and music, though I would prefer the music loop instead of starting over every time. And the art has a nice style to it. I would like to see more!

Betatester by ThiefViolinist 2021-10-13T17:37:38Z

I don't think I would have figured out to look at the setting menu to get past the bugged door without looking at the previous reply. I got stuck int he next room. Couldn't get past the stairs up to the button. I assume that it has something to do with grabbing the boxes, but I'm currently on a macbook and couldn't release the box with a left mouse button. I'll try the game again later to see if i can get further. I love the idea of a game with a bunch of purposely made bugs that you have to debug as you play. I think there's a lot of potential there.

Hop or Stop by winniehell 2021-10-08T18:18:46Z

I like the concept here. I agree with the above comment. Some of the pieces are just too small and feel tedious to move around. I think a couple of small ones here and there is good, but I'm definitely more interested in the big pieces. I liked the music. It provided a nice contrast between construction and movement. Also I noticed that the camera controls are A and D, but the game says A and W.

CalmR - Rock Skipping Mindfulness by Eli Delventhal 2021-10-08T22:48:05Z

@rufson hahaha it was actually a big spoon in a full bathtub, but I also hear a toilet plop when I hear it.

Catamaran Cats by notke 2021-10-13T17:24:51Z

Awesome stuff! I think this could be really fun with a tournament mode or a way to play against other players. I imagine this game is best with friends, but it was also fun to learn the ropes (pun intended) by myself. I'd love to see this game expanded.

Hunger Of The Elder Slime by JohnLee Cooper 2021-10-20T17:41:25Z

Lots of fun! Great work. Beautiful artwork and easy to pick up game play. I would have liked to hear the music ramp up as the slimes invaded more to amp up the tension.

Fission Friends by Peco 2021-10-06T05:24:12Z

It took me a while to get into it, but I and fun once I did. Loved the art style. I think you could ease in the difficulty a bit to allow the player to get a bit more comfortable with the controls. I would have liked to have a bit more variation in the sounds as well. After a while it was just constant boops. Overall, nice work!

OverCauldron - Lonely industrial stories across the hearth by bloodycoin 2021-10-12T16:51:30Z

Nice art, cool sounds. Easy to grasp game play. I just wish there was a bit more to the game play. It was a bit too easy and after a while it just felt like busy work. I think there's a good amount of potential here. The mechanics are nicely implemented and there's lots more to explore.

Crooked Castle (Web) by trmrddr 2021-10-07T05:08:23Z

Gorgeous art. Great music and sounds. Great atmosphere and concept. The game play was more immediately difficult than I felt it should be. I think there should be a bit more positive feedback for the player when they do something good. I think this one has a lot of potential.

Emily vs the Unstable Creatures by JPatchZ 2021-10-08T18:31:59Z

Cute as heck and really polished! the music is the best I've heard yet. Everything was cohesive and nothing felt out of place. Really nicely done.

Emily vs the Unstable Creatures by JPatchZ 2021-10-08T22:45:20Z

Cute as heck and really polished! Everything was cohesive and nothing felt out of place. I'd love to play a full version of this. Really nicely done.

Butler with a gun by KneehatGames 2021-10-09T00:31:19Z

Quick to pick up and easy to understand. I agree that falling in the holes was kind of annoying to deal with since the burgers spawn so close to them, but I can see having them around in less frequent spaces. The music was a little odd to me, but I started to get more into it as I went along. The sfx when you get hit are pretty dang loud. I would notch those down a bit.

WobblyWords by Dannyk1994 2021-10-08T04:53:51Z

I was very very happy to see a word game in here! I think there's a ton of potential here. Especially for powerups, multipliers, etc. I found myself waiting a lot hoping for the right letters to fall but ended up with a bunch of Qs, Ys, and Zs. There definitely needs to be a bit of balancing here, but I love the feel and mood of the game.

Koluan's DINER by Sandra Martinez 2021-10-07T04:41:31Z

Really nice look and feel to this game. I will admit that it took me a few attempts to figure out exactly what to do, but once I got it I had fun. I think there can be a way to streamline the mechanics so you don't have to click GO. I found that part a bit odd. Also, there was quite a bit of downtime while waiting for the orders to populate or finish at the end where I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. I think there's some balancing that could happen there. Overall, I was impressed! Nice work.

Autobattler by CodSalmon 2021-10-20T17:50:47Z

I would like some stats on each of the battlers that I pick. I feel like I'm just sort of picking at random. Also not sure how the theme fits here, but maybe I need to keep playing? Would also love some sfx. Great look and good animations!

Deathrail by Hotowlgirls 2021-10-08T17:54:51Z

Nice work. Loved the concept. The controls were pretty difficult, but I imagine it comes with practice. I would have liked to hear the music continue instead of starting over each time. I think it would have kept me in the world longer. Would love to see power ups and other variations.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-06T18:31:25Z

Love the look and feel. Just wish there was more.

NauSea by Notinatal 2021-10-09T00:12:41Z

I was hoping to find a game like this with Among Us style tasks. Nice job. I would have liked to see a noticeable progression with goals. Maybe different kinds of ships to maintain or something. The infinite tasks got a bit old quickly. The movement was a bit imprecise and I had a hard time climbing the ladders. I think there's a lot of potential here. Nice work.

Unstable connection by Daniikk1012 2021-10-13T17:22:01Z

I love the idea of this game, but it seems that if you mess up after a certain amount of time there's no way to recover. I would have liked to see a bit more variation in gameplay somehow. Maybe more tasks to keep track of. The music was nice, but I would have liked it to be a longer track and not just the same four chords over and over. Agree that all of the sounds were loud initially, but I apprecited the web build having volume adjustments in the settings. I would turn down the music initially though. Great use of the theme!

Slimestable by DormBrand 2021-10-07T04:49:32Z

I like the concept here, but I think it's too hard right out of the gate. Maybe slightly less gravity at first would help the player out, and possibly implementing a WASD type control to help out. I managed to make it to the fourth platform, but fell off immediately. The sounds and music were fun!

The Swirl by cybuuorg 2021-10-08T05:21:52Z

Really beautiful work! Loved the music throughout. And it was just so beautiful to look at! I reached the end, but I'll probably play a few times to check out the various endings. Nice job team!

Carrying A Microwave Down 3rd Ave by Yoss III 2021-10-07T05:15:34Z

Sadly I can't seem to get this to work on Mac after unzipping the file. Would love to play it if I can figure it out.

The Unstoppable Guio by Lucas Thomaz 2021-10-09T00:44:48Z

I like the look and feel of the game, but the teleporting jump was an issue for me. I couldn't really get past the first few jumps after several attempts. I really like the music!

Unstable: Save a Herd of Horses by Alex Chertilin 2021-10-06T18:26:47Z

Nice work! love the look and the take on the theme. I wish there was more of a ramp up to the craziness to allow the player to get used to the mechanics. It took me a few plays to figure it out, but I eventually started getting the hang of it. I really enjoyed the music.

Airborne Adventures by firellon 2023-05-03T20:42:07Z

Beautiful game! I would have loved some sounds throughout, but I still enjoyed it. Every so often I would fly right through a platform if I was falling too quickly.

Instructions were a bit unclear. I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong exactly. But I like the concept and the whole look of the game. nice job!

Crates by karreg 2023-05-03T20:34:34Z

So great! I was able to beat the entire game. I think I might have found shortcuts in some of the levels though. Or maybe I went in a way I wasn't supposed to. I never had to use a flag other than in the tutorial. Either way, it was really fun. Great concept and sound track. I would have loved to hear more sounds.

Nice! I had fun with this one. I would have loved to hear some sounds with the project, but overall a great entry!

I enjoyed it! I had a little bit of trouble getting the space bar to work when it swings over a package, but that's probably just my bad timing. Maybe a slightly bigger magnetic hit box would have been nice. Great music and sounds!

Parcel Pinnacle by zerozed 2023-05-03T20:20:54Z

Maybe it's because I'm terrible at platformers in general, but I couldn't get past the first level due to the jump not always working. I agree that the first level maybe shouldn't have autoscroll. Cool music and sounds!

Some Postman by jakelazaroff 2023-05-03T20:12:17Z

surprisingly addicting! I found myself replaying it quite a few times just to try to beat my score. I would have loved a few more sounds. Maybe some music.

Juicy Little Morsels by Brendan Milos 2024-10-08T21:09:11Z

@designernap hahaha I recorded my wife giving me her best witch's cackle and did some pitch and formant shifting to try to make her sound as "sea witchy" as possible, but now I can't unhear Yoda. Thanks for playing!

@lachlan-james Thanks so much! It was a range of things, but almost all of it was from the Native Instruments Komplete package. Lots of Symphony Series instruments as well as some Action Strikes instruments, Damage, and Thrill. I also used Spitfire Audio Solo Cello for the cello solo.

Ant war! by nikor 2024-10-08T15:56:09Z

Having no experience with JS, I actually had quite a bit of fun trying to figure this out. I managed to get through level 4. Level 5 stumped me, but I bet I can figure it out with some time. There are a few typos in your text, and I would have loved to see more visuals, but the simplicity of the graphics was charming. Nice work.

Will of the Wisp by Lachlan James 2024-10-07T23:59:24Z

Love the music! Beautiful work. It took me a few tries to get past a certain point where my wisps kept dying. Once I got the first big mushroom, things felt a bit more straightforward. However, I encountered a bug where the RMB and LMB both contracted my swarm. I do wish the sfx matched the magical feel of the music a bit more. Overall, really beautifully constructed and a great concept!
