I quite liked this game :)
I found I had plenty of cash to play normally, it was only once I started messing up and trying to fix things that everything turned south. Running out of money is quite devastating.
Also, found a cool bug/hidden feature: sample.gif
Interesting idea. But the blocks don't go faster over time it seems? So the capitalism part is just to cheat, because it's easy to get money. But perhaps that's the idea - hm, thought-provoking =)
Realy funny idea. But in the original tetris you have a small time to move the blocks when they reach bottom, which is realy important for this game i think.
The music was great. I always love a good Tetris remix.

Pretty solid Tetris with a twist. The title screen looked cool!

Ah, Tetris and capitalism! I love this interpretation of the theme, especially since you include a subtle dig at capitalism. Not gonna lie, I laughed at first when I saw that you had to pay to flip and move your blocks :p. You've got a great Tetris game working here. Unfortunately its hard for me to resist simply playing Tetris normally haha.

Interesting idea! I would have liked the option to use WASD. Also, I think a plain 2D view would have been better. I found it a bit hard to determine where my blocks were going to land.
A fun variant of Tetris that follows the theme pretty well. Found myself playing it a lot longer than I thought (though to be fair it is basically Tetris). The idea of moving costing meant early game involved a lot more planning though once I had a stockpile of cash the game just became normal Tetris with the occasional sell block being used. Music was great though, very good job with that.

Good variation on a classic.
Nice Tetris twist. It was indeed kinda funny to see that moving and flipping costs money, and always good to see dedication to include a "Mute music" button (although the music was great).
I loved the idea of the two concepts meshing but I missed the idea where the more there are the harder it gets besides general tetris. The more money you had the easier it was to move the pieces around to fit them where you wanted. Maybe it should be the other way around where you start out with money and the more pieces you add it takes more money away making it harder to choose how to move them. Idk.
not bad! It's a nice variant of Tetris and the music is really enjoyable (maybe it is too short... a couple of bars more would be nicer IMHO). Anyway nice entry! :)

very cool idea. Would love to see it developed a bit more. I found just playing regular ol tetris style got me pretty far and I wasn't buying or destroying too many blocks. Maybe incorporate extra financial elements (stock exchange component?) to make the gameplay more heavily rely on the capitalist side. Also, nice work with the music.
Hi everyone, thank you so much for the feedback! TBH, I thought about charging for the mute button, but I didn't want to be too cruel. I just posted an updated v2 based on the feedback above. If any one is interested; this version has 3 changes in it.
1. Closer to classic Tetris fashion, the tetrominos now fall faster as the game progresses. 2. Fixed a bug with the text fields not rendering properly. 3. Added a new additional element of challenge on the capitalism side; ads.
The ads will now spawn on screen, right in your way of course. You have to click on them to get rid of them. If that isn't bad enough, getting rid of them also costs money. As the game goes on the ads will get more intrusive, spawning faster and costing more.
I am also working on tracking down the hidden feature above where the blocks get split up. I will post an update with that fixed once I figured it out. If I get a couple more comments about extra elements like the stock exchange, I will add that too!
Thanks again everyone!

Pretty neat! One minor complaint I have is that there isn't any lock time when the piece touches the bottom to do extra maneuvers, like sliding a T into an awkward hole. You should add that (for a price of course :P)

~~Also, is the music an original composition? If not, you should opt out of the "Audio" category.~~
(Oh nevermind, I see you composed it with Garage Band. Cool!)
I liked very much the way you managed with the theme. At one point my screen was full of ads and it was impossible to see anything. Nice job!

Cool idea. The original version was a bit too easy and you never ran out of money. It seems like you have fixed some of the issues with the new version, but it still feels like maybe something more could be done with the concept. Cool game none the less! The music is very good, so good job with that!

Cool twist on the traditional game. It's a bit frustrating that you can't immediately control the blocks as they spawn.
