Like the mood and visuals. Great concept who needs more time!
Thank you for your comment :) Yes, I will put a lot more time in this game !
Awesome concept! I love the visuals and a little bloom can go a long way :). Additonally, I think that you could add more juice to the ball "throw" (eg. slo mo, screen shake, color shift). This could be a great game with a little more time and content.
I clicked on this game because the graphics looked really well polished, stylish, and cool - Great job! :)
I found the camera difficult to use - The way that it quickly jumped ahead of me when I turned around was disorienting, and if I was making a short movement instead of starting a run, my character would disappear off screen for a second or so.
Camera concerns aside though, this is a very stylishly executed concept!
Good soundtrack that goes great with the gameplay. Camera is a little jarring but with some tweaks it will feel a lot more smooth. overall great job!
Nice work! I like the reds you've used :D Would love to see more from this in the future :)
looks good! it could be more challenging if there is incentive to walk and dodge
such a nice game :)
Very cool idea, could become something really great I think. I sort of wish the camera was a bit smoother but other than that a great entry!
Cool idea, i found the stamina recharge quite restricting but it was a very stylish and well executed game
Cool idea and good looking game. However, I find the camera makes the game very frustrating to play.
This game gives of a really good vibe I have to admit and the visuals are very neat. I managed to score 145, pretty good.
The graphics and sound are great. While playing this I found that I was could best protect myself by not moving and just throwing the ball. Consider adding a clear motivation for moving. Overall, great work!
I like the running animation but gameplay is a bit dull. I can just stand there and shoot the ball left or right from me. all the particles, bloom and highscores don't really help with it. think more focus on the gameplay would've done it well
Nice game! As others have said, adding more variation to the gameplay to spice things up would benefit the game. Maybe different enemy types and being able to throw the ball in different directions. Also I'm really interested in how you made the string :D
@all : Duly noted for the camera issue, I think that I have already a fix for this, when you throw the ball the camera will zoom out. Thank you for pointed out the issue ! :)
@geryon-games : Thank you ! Duly noted for the more juicy ball "throw", I think that it is a really good idea ! :)
@koolruz : Thank you ! I'm glad that the graphic style pleased you :)
@franklin-lei : Thank you ! I'm happy to know that the music fits well ! :)
@max-louis : Thank you ! I was in red mood and I used a dark red palette, so I'm glad that you liked it ! :)
@hannahelena : Thank you ! :) Noted for the incentive, I will think about some features like these kinds you wrote.
@dovahkciin : Thank you ! :)
@relictooth : Thank you ! I will surely make it as bigger game ! :)
@gallahron : Thank you ! :) Noted for the stamina, I will think about making the stamina less restricting.
@albertnez : Thank you ! :)
@giordas : Thank you ! Nice score ! :) (Mine was about 450, but I'm the creator so I "cheat" haha)
@studiocurtis : Thank you ! :) Noted for the motivation, maybe by putting the enemies faster, it may give the desire to move, I will make some tests.
@jeroenwimmers : Thank you ! :) Yes, I will think about putting a lot more in the core gameplay, in order to add more variety and difficulty.
@daichifob : Thank you twitter neighbour ! :) Good ideas for the enemies, and the ball directions, I will make some tests. Moreover, for the string, I used this tutorial => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcnvwtyxLds (It is well explained !)
Interesting game.
I specifically love the visual artstyle and the use of glowing objects.
@edalbung Thank you, I'm glad my feedback was helpful :-)
Interesting idea, I think it could certainly be refined some more (especially with the ball swinging effects), but otherwise I respect the work done here. The minimalist visuals are neato.
WebGL version is lagged :(
@sinamon : Thank you ! :)
@studiocurtis : I hope that mine was helpful too :)
@Anonymous : Thank you ! :) Yes, I plan in the future to rework the throwing system.
@patricio : Too bad, I'm sorry for this issue on your system :/ You can try the exe version if you want, you can find it at the bottom of the current link page of the game, here:

Please let me know, if you are still in trouble with this version too !
Really enjoy the style, although some variation in gameplay is definitely needed. Some verticality too would really improve it I think!
What a cool game! The visuals and music fit really well together, really set the mood. Would appreciate some more gameplay variation and some of the sound fx was a bit loud. But this is quality-stuff!
Love the style, and the body itself! Had fun trying to survive ~359 points. Nice concepts, that could be extended into a 2D platformer with multiple ways to go over obstacles! Lovely :smile:
The game is very nice, Very cool concept. With some balancing it can be a great game to play in your free time
very neat idea, and great visuals. Loved the crunchy screen shake and sounds. maybe shorting the rope or expanding the screen size would help make moving feel safer. when you run in one direction the ball trails off the edge of the screen and can get hit by enemies before you even see them.
Really nice style ! Will love to see that mechanic in another game ( i press space to jump so many times... :) )
also a color change on the ball during attack would be nice to help differentiate attacking from when the ball is vulnerable
It's very polished, but the game feels 1 dimensional without platforms and enemys on different levels.
I dig the music, the stamina usage felt too big for the single attack.
It was not clear at first when I could throw the ball. I saw the stamina but I didn't understand that throwing costed 50% of the stamina bar. Maybe another UI could be clearer. In all cases, good job !
Cool concept, loved the character animations. If you ever need some original music keep me in mind!
nice concept for the theme and love the rope physics, could be developed further into some kind of 2d god of war style game
I really like the core mechanics and visuals of the game, perhaps if you decide to expand on the game in the future more enemy types or different level designs would be nice. Still a really fun and great game!
Fun concept and interesting gameplay! I think it would make the game more fun if instead of teleporting the ball right to the cursor it instead "threw" the ball in that direction, with a fast-moving ball damaging enemies. It would allow for some more interesting gameplay mechanics. The game could also do with more classes of enemies, and potentially "waves" of enemies.
The concept was very good! My only problem with the game is the camera was really off at times, sometimes so much I couldn't see the ball or the player. Other than that, this is one of the most polished game I have seen, and the visuals are awesome!
The polished look got me to check this out. It looks really great! The gameplay concept is good, but doesn't feel challenging at first. I found myself just standing and clicking left, right, left, right, until finally more enemies came from both sides. Then I found myself overwhelemd with no ability to survive. I think there's a sweetspot in the middle somewhere that would make this game challenging without being overwhelming. Your SFX are also a little on the loud side compared to the music. I turned it up because I liked the music, but almost pooped my pants when the first soud effect went off. Overall, this feels like a nice start and I'd love to see how it develops.
Like many other said, concept is good. The technical aspects of this game are really good, but the gameplay is too easy, it's actually easier if you stand still than if you move, so some more difficulty scaling would've been good.
This was a good application of the theme! I like the ambiguity of "here's this mystery mcguffin now go protect", it's simple and effective. Much like the art style, which is was simple and clean and worked well for this. My only suggestion would be to add some buffer zones with the camera, when changing direction I'd often end up right on the edge of the screen, and get harmed by enemies that I couldn't see until it was too late. It's always best to have players get hurt because they chose poorly with enough info, rather than choosing poorly because of unknown stuff. Thank you for sharing this!
Cool game. Nice animations and fun mechanics! A bit easy and the camera could use some work. But otherwise, good job!
The simplicity of the game makes it even better! Excellent animation and the colors you picked are all macthing very well! A great entry and I wish you good luck!
Haha, cool game! I liked it, i found a bug that made the ball go right through the enemies. But with some polish this can be a really fun and great game!
"Big and heavy Yo-Yo" game :)
This is a really good game! Although a bit lacking in gameplay. The animations are very well made and the concept is interesting. Some of the sfx are a bit loud. This could definitely become a really good looking and fun game.
Very interesting concept, but it does need some more gameplay/content. Unfortunately there isn't much to do except stand still and swing the ball back and forth. The mechanic could be really neat in a platformer. I kept having the urge to jump for some reason.
Scored 500, awesome game!
Great game man, loved it from start to finish! :]
Really like the rope in the game. Thanks for the video in the previous comments :) Nice work!
@all : A big thanks to all of you for your comments ! It is really helpful and rewarding !
@ben657 @goutye @slimbun @kregames @reece-geofroy @euforia-games @savvu : Thank you for your feedback ! :)
@illuminegames @yodog @marrero171 : Thank you for your feedback ! Duly noted for the sound level, I will put an option to set the level, and I will put a less powerful sound level by default.
@pee-thief : Thank you for your feedback ! Neat idea for the the ball color change when attacking, and when it is vulnerable, I will apply this cool idea ! :)
@thedestoryer @generictoast : Thank you for your feedback ! Yes, currently it is very limited, I had a lot of ideas, for example using the ball to draw the character towards its location, unfortunately I ran out of time, but I will sure apply some of these ideas on the game.
@amerigo-gazaway : Thank you for your feedback ! Yes I will keep you in mind if I need some original music ! :)
@finnthepirate : Thank you for your feedback ! I have to admit that God of War was an inspiration for me, so I think that the game will evolve in this type of style !
@jsmailes : Thank you for your feedback ! I will rework the throwing system, indeed, I'm not satisfied about the current state of it.
@proforce @dankar : Thank you for your feedback ! I will dezoom the camera when we throw the ball, I think that it will solve the issue.
@kevin-sun : Thank you for your feedback ! Yes, as I said above, I will put a lot more on the challenge and things to do.
@hwaet : Thank you for your feedback ! It was exactly this kind of effect that I wanted the player to feel ! :) And duly noted for the buffer on the camera.
@thedouche : Thank you for your feedback ! Nice catch for the bug, I will fix it with the new throwing system !
@bot12313 : Thanks ! Yeah it is a kind of simulation of Yo-Yo ^^
@bisvilla @thecritterscove : Thank you ! I thought about a Jump mechanic during the jam, where the character will use the ball as mecanism to jump, I will test if it works, but anyway your feedback convinced me to implement a Jump feature.
@ristoretto @brandon-gonzalez : Thank you for your feedback ! I have to be honest, I think that I was too extreme for the stamina usage, I will tweak it.
@kregames : Thank you, and no problem for the video ! :)
A last note, yesterday, I posted a making of video about this project, so if you want to take a look at it, don't hesitate !

Love the style! Great mechanics! Great game
Cool game. Seems like you ran out of time. Not much to do beside run and shoot the ball back and forth. Very nice visuals.
The art and animation were really lovely, very clean and it felt good to just move around!
I will be curious to see what it develops into as you add more gameplay.
Your use of color was great too. Such I nice pallet, everything felt bright and readable while still being pleasant and kind of muted.
I liked the minimalistic art and the soundscape really added to the mood. The game feels polished and pleasant. Great work overall!
Gameplay is very simple and gets repetitive fast. I explored the area left and right and after that there was not really much to do but stand and click the ball from time to time. I found that there is really no incentive to move around much. Most of the time just standing works fine. Which doesn't make for a very thrilling gameplay :wink:
Great game! I had to review it because I kept seeing your comments in other games (including mine). I think this is a really solid entry.
Good stuff: • Great job making simple graphics look nice. The blur effect is a good touch and overall it feels very good. • The gameplay is unique and different, but still simple enough to understand. • It's a nice self-contained entry.
Improvement points: • There's not much time to react to the guys coming towards the ball because the screen is pretty zoomed in. Pulling it backwards and adding a Y dimension to it could probably add a lot more. • Pretty quickly I realized the the only successful way to play is to just shoot left and right without moving. Some more tweaking would be very helpful, and some reason for the ball to be behind you other than as a weapon could add a lot.
Nice work!
Thank you very much @zalop @ismael-rodriguez @eran-haas @fabula-rasa @eli-delventhal for your feedback !!!
It will help to improve my work ! :)
