This is so polished for a game jam! The music is beautiful, the art style is great. I got to 90 fae pretty quickly, so not sure I saw all areas, but it was a really nice chill experience.

I think the only piece of feedback I have is that some kind of checkpoint might be nice, on the first attempt, I failed (got a bit too close to the gas and they all died) and it was a bit annoying having to go through it all again, but it really didn't take long.

Love this entry!

Love the music! Beautiful work. It took me a few tries to get past a certain point where my wisps kept dying. Once I got the first big mushroom, things felt a bit more straightforward. However, I encountered a bug where the RMB and LMB both contracted my swarm. I do wish the sfx matched the magical feel of the music a bit more. Overall, really beautifully constructed and a great concept!

wow this was so much fun, really loved the feel for it. I wish there was a windows/mac download as the web version seemed to slow up at > 75 fea, but maybe that was jst me. definitely tried it a few times. The visuals were great, and the music throughout, seemed very polished, and a very full level with paths to unlock, etc. just awesome!

Definitely agree with the sentiment on checkpoints. The more fae I had the harder it became to keep them all alive, which made me want to drop them off somewhere or just wait to pick them up. Ideally I imagine the player should feel more excited the more fae they have, given the narrative of rescuing them & finding frends. The hitboxing on the toxic gas was also a little unclear, which may have added to the sense of not being able to control when they died.

Overall, though, this is a great game. Music, art, controls are all pretty well polished, and I really like the text that fades in and out as a way to do storytelling.

Really loved the artwork. This game gave me ori/hollow knight vibes in terms of the atmosphere, would love to see this get more development!

Beautiful game! The presentation is top notch with the lovely graphics and audio. It's fun to explore and gather the wisps, truly a magical vibe

I really liked the atmosphere you created, the music, the graphics in the game. You have created an environment of some kind calming. Overall you've made a great game.

Really loved the artwork. Game looked very inspired by ori Lmao, other than that well done , and cant wait to see this game get more developed!

grizeldi 2024-10-08 19:24

The mood this game sets up with the art style and music is great. However, it really isn't clear how to collect the wisps, I've only discovered it when I accidentally bumped into one of the spawners.

A very lovely and charming game. It's so nice and calming  Amazing artwork and music/sound design. Fantastic work!

angrybeard 2024-10-08 19:26

realy atmospheric and clean, game. loved the soft entry, the tutorials and textbubbles!

remhill 2024-10-08 19:27

I liked the game. I want to praise the artists who painted the locations.

gmary 2024-10-08 19:29

So far the best game I've played on LD56. Everything from the idea, design, mechanics to the sound is perfect, really enjoyed it 10/10. One disadvantage - when there are too many particles the game starts to lag.

ibluebirdi 2024-10-08 19:32

I like the art, looks stunning! The theme is also nice opended. Played to the end, seems polished though maybe some ending would be more interesting =) love it!

bumble 2024-10-08 19:33

This feels very polished and everything fits well together!

I had a problem with the game starting to lag really bad as I approached the right amount of wisps so I just finished the level as soon as I had enough of them. Wanted to further explore (which I think is praise ) but sadly couldn't.

mallansandan 2024-10-08 19:46

really cute game! I started really lagging around 70 wisps tho :D

juju 2024-10-09 23:44

Very beautiful game. I can't quite place it, but it gave me SEGA 32X vibes! Impressive work withing the time constraints of a jam.

keithswanger 2024-10-12 04:31

Unfortunately, I am also experiencing extreme slow downs with 70+ wisps. The setting, mood, and music are all fantastic. I would love to revisit this world once the performance issues are ironed out.

I did end up beating the game, although probably too early, as I was able to collect 90 pretty quickly after the first door unlock. 2:34 was my time.

skyystorm 2024-10-12 05:31

Very well done game. The graphics and art style is cool, and the music and audio was also not too bad. The mechanics and idea of the game, and the way you did dialogue was pretty cool. I think the only downside is that at a certain wisp level it became very hard to play due to the fps drop. But otherwise a very solid game.

martonel 2024-10-13 13:28

When I reach the 70+ sparks, the game begin to lagging, but I finished it! It is a really cute game!

damdoshi 2024-10-13 14:38

Graphics are nice. Concept is simple but can generate rich situations. The atmosphere, wells served by the audio is strong and lovely.

It lags a lot and it does not seem right, there not so many particules. When I was with ~100 creatures, I reach around a single frame per second.

velvetlobster 2024-10-14 11:32

The playfulness with the name is quite clever, kinda "Ori and the will of the wisp." but here its the will of the wisp without Ori. The movement is smooth the camera zooming in and out feels nice. The art pairs wonderfully with the music, crafting a mood that's delightfully introspective. The concept of showcasing thoughts while you navigate is quite intriguing; it enhances that introspective vibe even more.

n-lan 2024-10-18 10:33

I enjoyed the music and the atmosphere a lot!

Something I noticed and wanted to share with you: There is an option to change the controls - when I did that (using keyboard buttons instead of LMB and RMB), the control did not change (still LMB and RMB when playing).

bstabuu 2024-10-20 18:13

Really well made for a jam game. Controlling the swarm of wisps is a really interesting idea. I think the concept with expanding/contracting could be expanded. Here's a few ideas: contracting to get into the crack in a wall and then expanding to destroy it(if you have enough wisps for a "critical mass"), contracting and expanding in movement to accelerate, etc. Though I am sure you already had those ideas and many more.

johnminer 2024-10-23 05:11

@bstabuu Actually we didn't lol =)). Thanks for the suggestion, great idea
