I love the top down 3D view, and how the furniture turns semi-transparent when you go underneath it. It looks very cool. The game is just very hard. Without a boost, it is almost impossible to survive a smack. And the second smack happens before the boost recharges. At first I thought this was intentional, to force the player to run between furniture. This was my strategy for the first level, and then the hallway happened... :sweat_smile:

@nick0124-creator thanks for play our game. For escape you need use de boost in time to avoid the "enemies". That way you can hide on furniture and find the exit in time. Thanks for playing.

Art, sound, and idea are good, but the controls are a bit weird. You have to boost to dodge a hit, and sometimes it doesn't reload in time. Other than that, amazing game! (Also you say please "hate" us on LD46 on itch.io)

Really nice graphics and angle of the game. Felt rather challenging too, which is nice, or I am just bad at it. Initally got slapped several times before I managed to finally start evading after the third or fourth try. Overall everything fit and looked nice. It's a good solid game. Marvelous work!

It's got good animations and fun graphics. The mood is funny as well. I think the difficulty could be adjusted that the player gets to play more in the beginning until it gets so hard. Other than that nice entry!

@proforce well, the game was made to be challenge, since we not have much time to pacing. But the "hate" is a error (I am brazilian and try write my texts without any translator for pratice), but "hate" is funny. :D Thanks for play.

Nice idea, but a little too challenging from the outset. It would be nice if you could survive a hit or two. Also, it would be nice for the music to continue playing after you die instead of starting over. Overall with some minor tweaks, this could be a great, fun game. Nice work!

Nice game - I love the animations of your cockroach, they're really funny and suit the game very well! The music is also very well suited.

Great game! The sounds and music were perfect and fit the gameplay. Having more of an indication of the direction to head would be handy for the more open rooms but that's minor as it's already intuitive enough. Overall the game is fun and presents a consistent, comedic atmosphere :)

@patsui we know the game is hard, but because we don t have much time we make a unique balance, and how the player can restart the game without lost lives, we think the best way to don t make the game too easy is increase the difficulty. Thanks for play! We hope you liked!

@yodog the "hit kill" was made because you can restart the level without any punishment. But we really think about implement some chekpoint, but the time is short, so we decide give infinite chances, but restart the level. Thanks for play!

@43sam the sound are really awesome. Hiago aways make a nice job, I really don t even think make a game, if he don t make a sound design. The indication maybe make the game too much easier, and how the rooms are short we think the best aproach is let the player try sometimes before reconize the pattern. All the exit are in the up right corners, but you still can explore the room. Thanks for play!

You made a lot of assets here for a jam, very good graphics and animations. The game itself is a little difficult I died quite a few times. The timing on the sprint cooldown could be a little more forgiving I think, but then the game might be too easy. Maybe some "save zones" in the level could help. Overall, good job though!

@despdair yes, the time is short so we make aways the best we can. We think a lot about the scope before start to have a ideia if is possible end the game in time. In this case we have to cut somethings, like balancing and details in menus. But the core is implemented.

Fun game! I like the audio and visuals! It's a little bit hard, restoring health trough the food would be helpful to survive, but I'm glad you implemented the speed function, so you can hide under furnitures. Good job!

What a cute game! I really liked the idea, graphics and camera angle and distance you choose! However, gameplay wise this has huge issues that I think can be fixed with minor tweaks, the current state is sadly very frustrating and made me even angry :( first of all, I think the tolerance of the cooldown and when the newspaper/show hits next is waaay to narrow, this is the first level after all! (My boyfriend always says that's a gamejam sickness to think like you have to make a game superhard, I would know because I suffer from this condition too, and from what I saw in the last 2 weeks, I'd say he's right.. ^^)

I think if you made the time span between the cooldown and the splash shorther, this could be way more fun! Also I realized if you keep your finger on the spacebar, the cooldown of the sprint doesn't reload - I would change that as well as it seems like an unecessary punishment. Are you supposed to get under the counter? I easily played 30 times and never managed it.. you might want to add a little quest marker too :) also, adding controller support would really suit a game like this!

Hello @fatpenguin , thanks for playing our game. Balancing games in a game is always difficult, and they end up being very easy or very difficult. In this case, as no punishment or player for death (he keeps points and returns at the same level), we chose to make it more challenging. This cooldown bug was not known, thanks for reporting! Regarding the controls, they are enabled in the game, but for the menus they recommend the use of the mouse. The commands are in the description.
