link is broken!

paroxysmal 2023-05-02 23:56

@karreg 404 error

ironcutter 2023-05-03 00:13

@karreg I can't download it :/

frabjous-studios 2023-05-03 04:19

@karreg the cover art looks so good! I want to play it! Please upload it again or fix the link so that we can.

tudvari 2023-05-03 08:56

Looks promising, but it gives me 404 :\

karreg 2023-05-03 17:46

@tudvari @frabjous-studios @ironcutter @paroxysmal @kiberptah Really sorry, I forgot to pass the page from "draft" to "public" :(

frabjous-studios 2023-05-03 17:54

YESSSS!!! Thank you for fixing it! This game is SO good! It's easily in my top ten of this jam.

*Fantastic* one-button mechanics; great pixel art, and really good level design. This is the perfect sort of Jam game where you do something really innovative and cool and then spend days two and three cranking out levels to make players happy

Only negative comment I have is that I couldn't figure out how to get started on Level 7.

And one other nitpick is that rotating pixel art isn't always great, but at least it looks like you've gotten the shader working in grid mode properly. Good work! Solid entry! Wish you all the best!

ironcutter 2023-05-03 17:55

@karreg I'm glad you fixed it, because it is pretty cool. The graphics are cool but the delivery point does not stand out much. I got stuck at the beginning of Level 7, anyway good idea and execution.

karreg 2023-05-03 18:05

@frabjous-studios @ironcutter Woow such good feedback ! I'm glad because I was afraid of the bad level design, caused by a lack of time ^^' Thank you very much for coming back to test my game !

patrick-abernathy 2023-05-03 18:55

I kept getting stuck in level 7 band couldn't get through 8. Loved the music.

tudvari 2023-05-03 20:28

Thanks for fixing it! By the way, the download link is still broken, only the itch link works.

Holy moly, this game is awesome! Not just the entry is polished as hell, but the core mechanics are so good.

This game is one of those games which should be released commercially for sure. I would definitely buy it instantly. All levels felt really well designed, polished, and rewarding. Where can I follow the project? Because I NEED MORE LEVELS! :D

One minor issue I faced, is that after I used the flag button, I clicked on the tube just to check that whether it does what I think it does... But I had to restart the whole game because after the box respawned the flag button didn't. :D

But anyway, really, this game is awesome!

yodog 2023-05-03 20:34

So great! I was able to beat the entire game. I think I might have found shortcuts in some of the levels though. Or maybe I went in a way I wasn't supposed to. I never had to use a flag other than in the tutorial. Either way, it was really fun. Great concept and sound track. I would have loved to hear more sounds.

Great entry! Really clever game mechanic. I admire one button games that do something interesting. Visuals and music on point too. Very polished. I was getting a bit bored but then the game ended, so really well done with the length too. Well explored and executed concept.

toppervideogames 2023-05-03 20:46

This is a really well done game! Super simple controls and a laser focus on the main mechanic. Everything came together super!

I do have a few thoughts that are more general suggestions. I much preferred the levels that could be seen in one screen, as the levels that needed to go down made me guess on where I needed to go. Those levels could have the mouse or a button press to scroll up and down the level, or start with a preview at the start that shows it all quickly to give an idea how it looks.

The levels that needed multiple boxes did not add much more to the complexity as I would have expected. You could try levels with multiple entry pipes that require different box handling?

The last level I may have skipped the checkpoint, as my box did not break one time falling on the right. The box breaking at all seemed circumstantial, would be better to have hazard floors in specific places than relying on physics to handle it.

One last thing, the checkpoint mechanic was only used once, but it should be mapped to a key and not just a mouse button. Keep the controls as simple as possible! The idea of checkpoints is nice for those longer levels.

Excellent work all around!

I had to run it on itch because the link was indeed broken!

I love the art style for this game, it's super cool. The puzzles also nice, albeit a tad bit easy. Music is also a banger. Good job!

(One thing to note is that I softlocked on level 8. Is there any reset button so I can restart the level?)

emeraldalkemist 2023-05-05 02:36

I like this game. The pixel art style is nice, but it's a lot better when mixed with the smooth style of the UI. It really helps differentiate the game world from the UI. It could benefit from some sound effects though.

bassilij 2023-05-05 15:32

Excellent pixel art style! A full-fledged game for further development)

emaigualmc2-art 2023-05-06 02:47

What a great job! The idea is incredible and the mechanics even more, it's a lot of fun and I thought it was very innovative. The pixel art assets you chose are beautiful and go very well with the idea of the game, as well as the music. I think there is nothing to add, the game is very polished, it is very fun to play it over and over again, take my 5 stars!xD Congratulations!

yuriscat 2023-05-06 04:44

I'm glad to see you fixed the link! The pixel art is great, and the music is very technological. The way you modify the conveyor belt to help the box pass through is very innovative! I also noticed there are boxes with different materials and weights. Well done!

chris-chen 2023-05-06 08:48

Wow really good! I was really impressed with the pixel art and the music. The gameplay is simple but fun and feels quite polished. The level design could have been more complex, especially the bigger levels with multiple paths (it felt like I skipped most of the level, including the need for the checkpoint) but I understand time as a limiting factor. Overall great job!

skel3ton 2023-05-06 09:32

very simple, but still fun. Later some level are surprisingly hard and it very good. its incredible how a single mechanic can make such great game.

very good entry

thomas-karcher 2023-05-06 18:22

I've seen a lot of games built around conveyor belts, but never such a fast paced one! Cool idea! I also loved the music. Overall one of the best games I've seen so far!

superzoom 2023-05-06 20:15

I had a lot of fun playing this! It was a little weird having a flag for just one level early on and then not again, but overall I really liked it. Great job!

madbarron 2023-05-07 02:40

Sweet game! It's easy to understand what is happening, it looks great, and has a groovy soundtrack. Level 8 was super hard for me.

Note: in fullscreen on my ultra-wide monitor, the physics scaled wider than the graphics. Luckily the game plays great in embedded mode.

thesmellofoxygen 2023-05-12 20:49

Very polished! The screen transitions, light-touch particle effects, and clear environment are good. One button input doesn't much do it for me, but I understand it's a genre unto itself and you nailed that.

david-yates 2023-05-13 11:26

Nicely polished puzzle game. You've wrung an impressive amount of mileage out of the single mechanic of changing the conveyor belt direction. If I have any criticism, it's that it would nice if there was an animation showing the package getting from one side of a checkpoint to the other rather than having it just teleport.
