I like the art of the game, the soundtrack is also good. Which tools did you use? Pls let us know
@slimmerburger Thanks for playing. I agree, the game could use more content :P
@erikengineengineer Thanks for playing. I used Godot (engine), Aseprite (art) FL Studio 20 (music), Bfxr and audacity (sound and tuning). It was an experience alright as I'm unfamiliar with Godot. I've been using Unity so far.
I love how the game looks did you do them from scratch for the jam? If you did that's impressive 😮 Great game
@dekajoo Thanks for playing. Yes, graphics were done during the jam! :grin:
feels like old good sega games for me :D
@slimmerburger @erikengineengineer @dekajoo @mogaiskii Sorry if you have voted already but can you vote for graphics, audio and mood as well? For some reason they were left out... Thanks!
Done 😃
@mogaiskii Sounds good to me, thanks for playing!
The base of the game is there, would like to see more levels :) nice one nonetheless
Really polished graphics for a 48hr Jam absolutely well done! Fun little game, not much depth of challenge but based on the fact you came out with a game/art/music and even have volume sliders (THANK YOU), one of my top 3 games played so far :)
@justolinas Thanks for playing. Yep, more levels could be fun. I'm starting to see a pattern in my own work.
@meredori Thanks for playing! It's an honor to be placed in a top 3 list.
Fun, but short and easy! Love the pixel art though!
@chesschaser Thanks for playing. Difficulty ramps up over time, but I guess the game is already over by then :smiley: Conscious decision anyway.
really cool game, simple but also fun to play again and again, I really like the art as well, this is actually one of my top 10, I spent way too much time on it lol
Love the pixel art! The game is a bit short, but it is very well made 😊.
Cute but short.
@0x-void-x0 Thanks for playing and kind words. I'm glad the game brings joy to people :smile:
@munkkeli Thanks for playing. I try to make games as whole as possible. But it takes time from other parts, like additional content :sweat_smile: @flying-dog-fish Thanks for playing and feedback.
liked the art and character design. it was a simple, yet fun game ^-^
Hey there! I like the premise of this one. I think the scope is nice and constrained, and I appreciate the details you added in little things like the animations for the character and unique sprites for pages. I will say it felt a little bit more RNG than skill-based, as the top score seems limited by the items that spawn and where the acid lands. Overall, the game felt cohesive, for sure, and was easy to get into.
Thanks for sharing!
@terri-gaminglunya Thanks for playing!
@adamcyounis Thanks for playing and feedback! Yeah, the game is heavily RNG-based. I was going to place important items statically, but ended up randomizing them as well.
Love the look and feel. Just wish there was more.
Super good looking art, fluid controls. Lots of polish
Nice job! The game's pretty short, but it works well. The artwork is really great! :thumbsup:
Cool game, really liked the Art. Just a little frustation with the hitbox of the character which is triggered on a drop on the ground with the head of the character instead of its feet.
@yodog Thanks for playing. I'm considering extra content.
@scalphamission Thanks for playing!
@jka Thank you for playing.
@hobzone Thanks for playing. You're not alone with that. It will be fixed.
nice cute concept. I found I couldn't grab one of the papers too high up on a shelf. I sat there jumping at it to no avail.
@ragtagradical Thanks for playing! Yeah, that's a tricky one. Did you try reaching from between the shelves?
Short and sweet. Still blows my mind what can be achieved in 48 hours.
@joshua-jebadurai Thanks for playing!
Very nice little game! It's quite small but really well done. I love the graphics and music!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen :sweat: I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. And your's is on the list. I hope it will still be helpful :sweat_smile: https://youtu.be/KdS9PsTVR1o Your game starts at 14:49
@caudatecoder Thanks for playing! I'll check the video out soon. Is it fine to refer to it in the coming post mortem, if there is something I can point out?
@coderaurus thank you for making this game! yeah absolutely :)
@caudatecoder Great, thanks!
Nice, well polished game. Enter as an interact key was a little intuitive.

@ping78 Thanks for playing. Initially I wanted to combine interact and jump buttons, but it was causing issues at the exit and separating them was the fastest solution. Then again, why did I choose enter over F, I don't know.
Pixels are great. Thanks for the sound and music sliders, but they reset every time you play :-(. Would also be nice if "Play Again" just took you right back to the game instead of to the menu.
Very simple, but the art is excellent and everything works well.
@0x746564 Thanks for playing. Yeah, I was aware of these issues. Due the time constraint it does a hard reset for the game. Something to think about for post-jam update.
@nanolotl Thanks for playing.
Maybe it could have been more challenging, but the overall tone of the game was great.
@ascension Thanks for playing.
Nice and fun game, looks and feels nicely polished. Too bad there is only one level :)
@kuggenhoffen Thanks for playing.
Thanks for the game!
Wow very nice game. Beautiful graphics animations and sounds, nice menu. Very cool that there are many different items for which are given a different number of points, it would be interesting to see a mini game in any of the big game) had fun) sorry that there is only one level I thought you could go further)
@gdesecrate Thanks for playing!
@lovor Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Really nice sprite art! The wizard is really cute and overall super appearling. I liked the quick action of this game quite a lot even though it's short. It's very polished and I appreciated the mini tutorial guide. Highest score I got was 1485 somehow.
@ruthiepee Thanks for playing and the feedback. That's not a bad score at all.
This was really well-polished! Looks great, and I love that I can use a gamepad! It was on the short side for sure - would have been nice to at least have a few levels to go through, but that's life. Well-done!
@pbg Thanks for playing! More levels would have been cool.
Really cute graphics! Gameplay feels smooth enough but there seems to be little replay value. After completing the game a couple times there's not much else to do! The only complaint is that it's a little hard to tell where the acid is flying to.
@nyxkn Thanks for playing! I agree, maybe the shadow of an acid ball should be visible always. :thinking:
Very cute short game ! The graphics and sounds are amazing. I liked it a lot, great job !
@nebiros Thanks for playing!
Ah, I liked this one! Love the pixel art and the blooping goo was somehow kind of cute? Good job :)
Really simple but fun little game. Enjoyed the trumpet "game over" sound. Overall really solid little time waster :)
@kristinamay Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@sinclairstrange Thanks for playing. I'm pleased how the sound ended up like.
Fun and nicely polished little game! Graphics, sounds and the overall game feel were all great! There isn't too much content, but the content there is feels solid. The relation to the theme might be a bit vague, although the potion pot is unstable. Anyway, excellent job for a single dev in 48h!
@justmars Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Very cute, excellent art. The game loop is finished nicely and it's fun to collect stuff for a couple plays. Great audio design. It feels nice to exit. The difficulty of collecting existing items changes a lot through multiple plays (I guess this is good?) although I realized late that you don't need everything to exit.
As others said I think the slime should have a shadow of where it will land - however I didn't get caught so maybe it's ok just showing it late? I would put more interesting spawn patterns/obstacles/more levels over the shadows though :) Time is always tricky though so I feel you there.
The jump is more fun than in new world :D, weee. I like the small touches like proximity exit sign and darkening the room from the menus.
@crefossus Thanks for playing and the feedback! I appreciate you crediting smaller details I did. The items are randomized so the difficulty is pretty inconsistent.
Maybe the shadow could show up earlier, but the implementation would be quite different from current one and would mean more work. Adding more content would be cool as well, so maybe in the future..?
I'm not aware how bad the jumping actually is in New World, but I'm glad I have it better :D
