LD49 — Unstable

Project Stallion / Zherebets Proyekta by dob 2021-10-05T07:57:43Z

I like the unique take on the theme, puzzles were a little too RNG in some cases for me and the sound was overwhelming when chain reactions + failure happened. Nice little bit of humor and voice-overs. Solid effort but not for me personally.

Shaky Structures by TomBuston 2021-10-04T12:02:42Z

Was playing for a while and forgot I was reviewing for the game jam, shows how much fun your game is.

Crisis: Reactor by arkinrev 2021-10-05T04:30:51Z

Fun game, I think even with the tutorial I felt like I was just sliding things and pressing buttons until red lights go out. I sort of understood there was a balancing act with consumption and distance to travel but felt like too many mechanics to pay attention too

Manoe's Quest by Mahjoub 2021-10-04T02:38:44Z

Was interested in having a look at the source code but the link is broken

@mahjoub excellent game and awesome work. HAd a quick look around the source code too super impressed :)

I think my feedback aligns with most here, its certainly fun but an inconsistent difficulty (had 3 levels auto complete and then a level which was harder than others) make it not quite replayable. I would also as a minor thing consider not calling it "level" and more "difficulty" as level 1 etc implies that you would be doing the same challenge on level 3 every time for example.

Place Called Home by Kora0h 2021-10-05T07:47:03Z

Nice music, simple concept just needs a little more polish to be more replayable, bumbled through the mechanics a bit before working out how to play even with tutorial.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-05T07:51:49Z

Really polished graphics for a 48hr Jam absolutely well done! Fun little game, not much depth of challenge but based on the fact you came out with a game/art/music and even have volume sliders (THANK YOU), one of my top 3 games played so far :)

Mountaineer by vsi- 2021-10-06T04:58:43Z

Fun game, feedback would be I wish I could switch up the controls using keyboard (or if I can wish I knew). Also the "distance" you can reach is a bit of a problem where the curser should be bound to (for example use the vector of the cursor to dictate direction but then have the length dictated by the tool so having mouse top right and clicking would use that tool to its maximum distance

Toilet paper ! by Slavi 2021-10-06T12:38:49Z

I feel like there is a much bigger concept here, sort of like a choose your own adventure with real video. Fun :)

Oh, Hello? by itsBoats 2021-10-05T10:41:51Z

Had a lot of fun with this one. Some physics issues which meant I was able to sometime launch myself to the moon and trivialise some levels, but overall great idea and fun game

Potion Master Incremental by Meredori 2021-10-04T05:34:44Z

@bluemaus yeah had a few more ideas I wanted to implement but was limited by the 48hr timeframe of LD. I tried to at least get a gameplay loop (upgrade potions and scale speed) but would have liked to get in a few more mechanics ie assistants to automate potion brewing, potions requiring rare ingredients with amazing effects, increase the stability of potions so they blow up less.

@owl-skip @tombuston thank for the lovely comments

@rory-kaufmann I might look at adding a "+1" animation to the herbs to draw more attention when it changes once I polish it up more. Alternatively redesign the layout a little to make it more clear what is where.

Potion Master Incremental by Meredori 2021-10-14T02:17:26Z

@elysiagriffin it was a lot of fun getting a live reaction to the game, not often you get feedback and first impressions in that way so thank you so much for that!

@loiclegrosfrere unfortunately not yet, it is certainly intended but I ran out of time getting a lot of what I originally planned implemented.

@khadia thank you for the kind words. I do plan to keep developing this idea out

Heaven's price by Cynthia Clementine 2021-10-04T00:48:54Z

Your character moves a little too fast for the somewhat micro controls you need, still overall not too bad
