Great mood and art! The gameplay loop is also very addicting. Like others have said, some more content, like maybe big random events, could really spice things up.

Great mood and art! The gameplay loop is also very addicting. Like others have said, some more content, like maybe big random events, could really spice things up.
The graphics are great! I think subtitles would be nice, but I undestand they probably weren't a priority :D. The gameplay is simple but fun, although, like you mentioned earlier, a progressbar would be a good addition. A great entry nonetheless!
A bit too hard, would be a lot more rewarding to ramp up the difficulty with time
Oh man... An actual GBA rom. Incredible stuff. The gameplay is also very fun and addicting. You really have to focus, and I do like that. An excellent entry overall.
Very cool! I like the gameplay, simple but hard to master (Maybe even too hard, could not get to the end :D). A unique idea too, which I always like.
The rewind mechanic works really well, and the multiple vehicles is a really fun concept! Also very cool to see all these 3D models in a compo entry :) Great job!
Sounds are incredible :D The art is also amazing. Gameplay is a bit too simple. It would be great if there was different kind of damage for example, like fire or water. Now you can just click around randomly and win.
Nice job! I like the rotation mechanic for chopping trees, makes you really feel like you are working :D. For just normal movement the rotation is a bit jarring though. The UI could also be more usable. That being said, good gameplay depth with different materials and tools etc. Very nice submission!
A really fun game! I think there should be a mechanic that makes you lose people (maybe a rival?). Simple but effective sound and graphics. A really solid entry :)
The setting and the graphics are incredible! Even the fish are animated, very cool stuff. The gameplay is a bit clunky, throwing the line seemed very random to me. Survival was also very hard, way too little time. But I do think the great ambiance of the peaceful mode makes up for it all :)
I love the music! The way the fire spreads is also very satisfying. A really solid game :)
A relaxing experience. Graphics look really good, nice GameBoy vibes. Gameplay is a bit repetitive, but I do think it fits this sort of game.
Amazing art and sound! The gameplay is also fun, but the automated clicker features could be visualised a bit better. I also really like the story decisions, really makes a run feel personal.
@timo-strating A good point, thanks for the feedback!
@james-7777 I agree. I was planning to do some particle effect stuff, but ran out of time unfortunately. Thanks for the feedback!
@jonahsenzel Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! Balancing was very difficult, and I do agree that wave breaks would be a good idea. I will definitely consider a polished version if people take interest :)
@hastro I agree. Thanks playing and giving feedback :)
@petturtle I completely agree! This was a planned feature, I already had some icons for harvest & attack beam upgrade paths, but decided to leave them out so I could focus on balance. Thanks so much for playing and for leaving feedback :)
What a beautiful game... The art and the sounds are so good. I like how personal and honest the story is, and how it asks for your own as well. A very fantastically unique submission.
The presentation is amazingly well done. Very clean UI. The core idea is also great for a puzzle game. However, like many have mentioned, the game wasn't difficult at all. There needs to be some gimmick that makes the gameplay less straight forward.
The fire effects look awesome! Gathering the flames also feels very nice. A bit on the shorter side, but still a very enjoyable experience :)
Nice game, giving me a lot of Papers Please vibes, in a good way. Sound is a bit harsh on the ears though.
So meta, I love it :D The visual presentation is also excellent. Although, I do feel weird writing this review after playing... What an amazing little game.
Oh man. Amazing setting, I love this idea! The controls are a bit difficult though.
Very nice 3D graphics, so few games actually manage to create this many assets. Story is also a nice addition. Gameplay seems a bit difficult though.
A fun little game. The start menu is a bit cropped on the HTML5 version, and the visibility is quite limited. Still, a very nice submission overall :)
It's a simple but quite enjoyable. The HTML5 version scaling is a bit messed up, making some things get cropped in-game.
Oh man this is good! The humor is spot on, and the ability to actually draw and name your meme is an amazing feature. I feel like the balance is also great, and the town is fun to run around. One of my favourites this year for sure! Incredible stuff.
Love the looks and style! The gameplay is also very fun and action packed. I do feel like the buffs are not noticable enough though, could not feel any difference myself. I think the difficulty is good, not too easy but also not extremely difficult. A very solid entry :)
A nice arcade style experience! I like the visual effects, like screen shake.
A fun premise, the mood is also very nice. Very hard though, only ever managed to find one branch... Or maybe its just my luck :)
Oh I like this! Reminds me of some of my favourite flash games back in the day. Graphics are sleek and clear. A simple selection of buildings, but very fun to play! I do think there should be a mechanic to force you to spread out though, I found it quite OP to just spam generators in the middle :)
Very nice sounds :D Gameplay is fun, upgrades add a lot to it. I was able to become very powerful very fast, I think the upgrades spawn a bit too fast.
I love the way you move, not by conventional means, but by persuasion. I also agree with others saying there is a surprising amount of depth with using the different bushes. Clicking the orbs was a bit tedious though. Overall a very solid game, good job :)
Really good looking game! Love all the effects, especially the eye looks awesome. Solid gameplay, I really like how you have to use the same walls to make items come to you. A very nice entry overall!
Not much to do, but what is here looks nice. I like Jeremy in particular :D
Really cool idea! This would work super well as a mobile game. Fun to play & the shapes look nice.
I really like the old top-down Zelda titles, so this game caught my eye immediately. And I have to say, the graphics and mood did not disappoint! Pixel art is on point. I do, however, feel like the enemies are a bit too fast, and move too unpredictably. It makes the combat really difficult.
Very nice graphics and an awesome idea! The game was really fun to play too. The only thing I would add is a recipe book of some sort to make figuring out the recipes easier.
Quite a fun game. Some sounds would have been great though. Also, I think the controls could have been better explained with UI elements & gameplay. A wall of text is a bit exhausting to read trough.
Nice music! And Powerpoint graphics for the win. 😂 I did have some difficulty understanding how the table tilting works. Would have been really good to have the table graphic indicate the tilt somehow.
@dekajoo Thanks so much 😊. Glad you liked it!
@chris-dirkis Thanks for the really detailed feedback! 😊 The buttons can be held down for rapid clicking, I should update the instructions to include that. And I agree about the moving buttons, it is not the kinda of difficulty I went for.
@eyedromeda Thanks so much for the great feedback! 😊
@pkzinpo Thanks for the detailed feedback 😊. And I agree. Although I personally like the buttons moving, I could have added an option to keep them stationary. At least for accessibility reasons.
@mchs-productions You get fish by having the penguins at the edges of the island. They consume fish at the center, so make sure you have more penguins at the edges than at the center.
@itzemii Oh, I meant the in game + & - buttons 😅. I tried to make keyboard control a thing at first, but didn't find an easy way to get the penguins back to the center from both sides individually. Thanks for playing!
@quite-good Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. This is by far the nicest comment I have ever received on a ludum dare submission 😊
@molpe Thank you so much for the awesome let's play & feedback! 😊
Very fun game! Graphics look phenomenal too. I got to 10 880 before disaster stuck
The game is quite hard, but after a couple of tries I managed to get to the end 😁. Some sounds would have been cool to have.
Oh man, what a great little game. I really like the graphics, and the gameplay loop was excellent. Slowly adding more things to manage is also done really well. Controls are clearly visible and well explained. Awesome job!
Wow, things ended up being not quite what I tough at the beginning 😅. Very cool idea and very fitting to the theme!
Fun little physics game with a good concept. I do agree with the others on the buy button being difficult to understand. Also, I felt like the main "lever" was really slow to react to adding weights, making it really hard to recover from a bad situation.
Nice game! Gameplay was fun, although it took a while to get a hang of it. Music was really nice too. Some of the text did cut off for me too tough, but it did not affect gameplay that much. Many, many humorous texts were a fun addition
Love the pixel art! The game is a bit short, but it is very well made 😊.
Dang, this game feels so polished. This is a great concept for a game jam too! Really innovative & fun.
Very fun game, great job! I really like these kind of physics puzzles, and this one is executed very well. The music did get kinda annoying after some time though 🙃
A really good looking game! I love the smooth and wobbly animations on text & prompts, gives out a really polished feel. The gameplay, however, was a bit too confusing for me. I did manage to get everything started, but ended up always exploding the machine...
The art is really well done! I found the gameplay a bit too difficult tough. It would be nice if the parcels would always show where they are supposed to go. Now, if you forget to check right when you pic one up, there's no way to tell afterwards.
Worked well for me on Windows. Fun little game! Simulates walking back from the bar extremely accurately.
The difficulty curve was quite steep at the beginning. Maybe some UI hints or something would have been good to have. Once you get the hang of it things get fun & quite hectic at times. Good job!
Wow, I'm surprised how much you managed to fit into 48h! Graphics look great, sound effects are everywhere (an they are funny too!) & everything has a little animation to spice things up! Awesome job, so much polish in such little time
@muriel Thank you for sharing! I think it is very helpful for other developers to hear about the tough choices and the reasons behind them. I didn't personally find it difficult, but I also understand that WASD movement is much more common in these kind of games. I also think it is always better to go all in, no matter the outcome! I look forward to your future entries!
A very unique idea and great implementation. As other have already said, the variety in levels really makes the game fun. I also appreciate that every level comes with its own set of graphics and sounds! Makes the game feel really polished. ps. I could not get the game to load on Firefox, but switching to Chrome seemed to fix the issue.
@blockerz No, I only selected WebGL as a target. I think Unity should handle the compatibility between browsers too, but there might be some bugs with the implementation... For me, it seems to throw an "Uncaught DOMException: The operation is insecure." error. If I, however, disable the built in tracking protection the game seems to load just fine. So I think this is a Unity problem, and not an issue with your game.
@zantze I had no choice, it was too good of an idea to skip. Poor ants though 😔
@sixgamesld Did they eventually appear, or did no ants spawn at all? If so, that is most definedly a bug :grimacing:
@blockerz Thank you for such detailed feedback! Here are some answers: - Did you pan the camera around with the right mouse button? The cake should be at the top. I did have an issue before where the WebGL version did not show the cake, so could be that the bug is back... - Thank you for the bug report! I have to take a look at this. - There is no real reason why the game starts zoomed in, I think that is just the default zoom level of the orographic camera  . You have a good point though!
@blockerz Ah, I see! There should be some mention about the camera controls on the menu then. Thanks for the follow up
@jeffrey-hwang Thank you for playing, and for your kind words! I expected the camera controls to be an issue on a trackpad, but unfortunately ran out of time to implement an edge scrolling or some other movement mechanic. I am glad you still managed to enjoy it though!
@heremeus Thanks so much for playing! An hmm, the traps should not have a maximum catch limit, but it might be possible for the ants to sneak past the edges. If they went straight trough however, then that is definitely a bug! Thanks for letting me know!
@pio Thanks so much for the feedback! I am glad you enjoyed it! I would like to make a full fledged base defence style game at one point, as those were my favourite back in the flash game days!
@smilewood Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I had plans to add loading indicators to all the weapons, but ran out of time before getting there. The traps simply unlock at certain score counts for now. I am also very glad you noticed the ants behaviour at the beginning! They do indeed hang around in small groups to make crushing them easier when you are just starting out!
@adamk33n3r Thanks for playing! Glad you managed to enjoy it even with some camera movement issues. Will definitely try to focus more on the camera next time!
@heremeus @frib @zimny11 Thanks for letting me know about the performance issues! It is the A* pathfinding that starts to slow down when there are multiple ants roaming around. I ran out of time before optimizing it, so I had to make a choice between less ants, or some lag. I chose the lag. Hopefully it was the right choice!
The snowboard control is great! Very fun to slide around. Huge plus for the awesome intro & death screens
Surprisingly addicting! Graphics were simple but clear, which I like. I found that sometimes a yellow enemy spawns that just doesn't get damaged by anything, happened very rarely though. Overall a fun little game I enjoyed playing
Very nice looking art! Interaction with objects was easy thanks to the menu. I also liked how the little thoughts that came up acted as an in game tutorial. Very cool game!
Very nice stylized graphics! Very cool animations too! The instructions were quite a lot to take in at once, but you get the hang of it once the gameplay starts. I think introducing the different "weapons" visually over time would be a good way to decrease complexity at the start, but that takes time to implement of course (which we did not have a lot of ). A very solid entry overall, good job
Nice tutorial at the start! It would have been nice to have some points of reference inside the maze (maybe some props or colors to the walls?). A fun solid entry overall
Hilarious idea! I can totally relate... Solid gameplay too
Really nice tutorial for the controls on the intro sequence, instantly puts your fingers on the right keys! A lot of content to go trough too. I did have to disable the built in tracker blocker in Firefox for the game to load, after that there were no technical issues. A fun game overall, good job
Excellent art and a moving story, what more can you ask for? On the part where you have to avoid bas stuff, it was sometimes impossible to pass without touching any. Other than that, perfect :ok_hand:
The most innovative idea I have seen so far! And very fun too! Nice job
I also enjoyed the mood! Very different feeling to any other LD games I have played. I was also quite confused on what to do, no matter what I try I can't seem to get a specimen from the creatures... The mouse control also felt a bit jarring, like delayed in a way. But a very solid entry overall!
@karlthecool Thanks for letting me know! This should be fixed now :)
@whizbang Thanks, a good idea!
@justslavic Thanks for the review! And yeah I agree, should have made it horizontal now when I think about it
@pincushion Thank you for the review. And you raise a fair point about the right clicking. I think I can enable full screen in itch.io at least to help with this.
@campalans Thank you! It was an inspiration.
@kerdelos You are correct! It was a last minute addition in order to avoid a situation where a car popup blocks the intersection change button.
Man was this hard at first, but once you get the hang of it flying was actually really fun! When you are flying with some items though some maneuvers like going sideways are very risky, so stopping the drone was very difficult at times. I also think the game was a bit too long and repetitive, but the core mechanic of flying the drone was really fun.
Great use of the theme. A simple but solid game loop. It was quite fun to see my self get better at responding to the prompts. It would have been nice to see some escalation of difficulty the further you got.
Wow, nice! As a fan of Isaac, this is just my type. I think the upgrade system was a really good addition, really makes you want to keep playing to get stronger. As others have mentioned, the boss spawning houses on top of you did lead to some unfair feeling situations. But a really fun entry nonetheless!
The plane physics are really nice! I also appreciate the fully 3D game world, it is fun to just fly around.
Very nice movement, reminds me of Celeste. I found the game to be surprisingly difficult, especially the last level. And like others have already mentioned, I didn't realise I could dash at fist. Would have helped if I read the instructions first of course.
