This is a really cool concept and you should definately extend this, maybe with a mode where people can set up their own words / subjects (within a character limit)

This is a great puzzle game and probably the most polished ludum entry I have seen so far, perfect pocket gaming experience! If you ever stick it on a mobile with more levels you could have a real winner here.

I love this, the simulated battles are really nice, the cute micro sprites would work better if you used them on the chess board section of the game as well, they could look really nice charging around the board!

Great gameplay and very addictive! The gun sounds can get a little bit grating especially when they are firing rapidly but good work!
Really like this idea and the execution is nice, only change i would have is to make the clickable area or the passengers just a little bigger. This could work really nice with gestures on a mobile device if you decide to take it further.
@dries-vuylsteke Thanks for the comment! I agree, I wanted to add in a few more variations of boxes as well. If i continue with this I will make sure to crank up the spawn speed of the orders and the box's.

@mitsu-artemius Thanks a lot! I wanted to have bigger box's and the ability to stack them in your hands eventually so you could carry a few at a time but ran out of time :)
@haustgeirr @gmaker I Agree, i kind of ran out time to add some proper instructions. I wanted to do a bit of a "walkthrough / handhold" on the first order you deliver before the game starts so I will add this if I go back to the project
@stillnotsure The spawn time can only vary very slightly (between 2-4 seconds) so I will need to crank up the box spawn rate as a few others have had the same issues. Thanks for your feedback glad you like the idea :)

@wekaj Thanks for the feedback, I was hoping to add some more stuff like that but it took me a while to get it to a playable state after I spent to long making my orc guy. I wanted to add the multi shapes / sizes of box and ability to stack them up in your arms (kind of akin to a tiny tetris game)
@mathiouza Thanks for playing! Having the cards obscure the whole screen was the original idea but I struggled to get them coming in correctly across the whole screen so I just left it to two rows and set a timer that counts down in the top. I agree the crates definately need to come in faster and I would like them to either stack up in the spawning bay or break the previous crate to make it more frantic and so that you have to pull all the crates out and fill up the room with crates a bit more

This is probably my favourite jam game so far! First multiplayer one I have seen for a ludum-dare. Only thing I would change is the ability to double jump after down dashing. Congrats on your work though!

Nice art style and good execution. Only critique would be maybe add to the enemy sprite a graphical indicator so we can tell exactly what direction they are facing :) Great work!

Fun gameplay and i like being able to use the wheel to steer. only critique would be that the sound effects sound very out of place and kind of cut in and out rather than fading in. Keep it up!

This is really nice, love the fixed colour palette. Gameplay is fun but It would be great to have a little weapon wheel ui appear when you press down to show how may weapons you have to choose from, didnt realise I had more than a sword for a while!
Awesome work! I love it when sports stuff gets twisted into an interesting ludum game. Are you gonna keep developing this? Could see it being a great couch competitive game if you polish it up and add some more variety
Cool game, graphics where really cool. I think a little bit more handholding / tutorial integrated into the game would make this much easier for people to pick up and get involved with but great work!
good graphics would be nice if you had an on screen indicator to show where the sacrifices have spawned

@apace Thanks for the comment dude, I agree with you, I should add the correct word to the Incorrect popup so that it isnt left, especially as sometimes the blanks could mean that the word you (lets say larder) entered fits the format (--rder) just wasnt what the word the game was looking for (harder). This is my favourite game of the jam so far! Great use of theme and anything that involves mayan mythos is a winner!
Great work for your first Ludum dare! My only comment would be that zombies in your game can feel a little bit generic. It would have been nice to see something a little bit more unique with the same mechanics. Keep up the great work :)

Agreed the difficulty is quite low, was hopping to add in more depth with different unit types but ran out of time!
@cowa thanks mate, I agree completely, wanted to add more mechanics ( units with different health, units with hidden paths, patrolling units so you have to hit then on the right part of their route!) Might look at continuing work on it sometime
@zabaman nope, this is a bug haha! does open up the question of whether I should make that the way some levels work so you have to place the units under time pressure!
Great work as someone previously said, some big papers please vibes here but I love the cipher work, a really underutilized idea in games

Could have used a few more obstacles in the early levels, started off easy but didnt ramp up fast enough to be challenging. Really good graphics though and love the music!

I like the use of the theme here, interesting idea! The character is a little close in colour to the background so can blend in sometimes and I get a little lost, maybe try making the background colour just a little darker so you can see yourself and incoming enemies a little faster. will help to deal with the frenetic gameplay of the incoming attackers :) good job!

Absolutely lovely graphics however I did find a way to survive pretty fast (stand in top right or top left or under the central door) and after finding that I got bored fast. Has super crate box vibes but could do with some more enemy variety to add to the challenge ! good work guys
Really great idea but boy is this challenging! I could really use some sort of line drawn from the ship (maybe it has a cost so its not infinitely usable and then you can reward people who have better aim than me!) I would kill 4 or 5 then blow up the earth on my own every time haha. Great fun though :)

Good humour and nice graphics, Not sure if it was just me but I couldnt get WASD to work and was stuck on the spot for the entire game.

This idea is so great, congrats on building something nicely stylized with great art and on top of that with networking in a jam. This is an extremely cool game!
good job on the game! really nice pixel art - gameplay feedback fromme would be that i got sunflowers much to late to have a hope of stopping all the incoming invaders i know its inevitable to lose but it feels like i could have got more firepower early on to help.

really fun little puzzle game - i could have done with more feedback when i was accidently trying to move into a non valid space - diagonals especially i found hard to figure out , trying 2 -3 times before realisng the skeletons where moving in on me and i was trying to move into a tree accidently haha

Could do with a bit more tutorialisation to get into this one but overall really impressed, the graphics style is also amazing and something you should be super proud of achieveing in the time!
