The game is enjoyable tho confusing at times. The artstyle is okay, not particularly my cup of tea but it works. But doing a meta-game about the jam is genius. Though I find it hard to find the connection to the theme. All in all tho a solid experience!

This was fun ! Kind of buggy at times ♥

Love the idea of the meta resource management game for a jam. Wish the lighting wasn't so dark and I could see workers, maybe a symbol for the rooms so you know what stats they match. All in all though a great game, Good work !

Pretty fun! I think it needs a little more explanation of every stat and aspect of the game.

Great work!

The idea is really cool ! But why would anyone need to sleep during a jam ? That's not realistic at all !

Jokes aside, it's a pretty solid management game, with cool graphics and nice gameplay. I love the fact that you drag & drop characters to make them move. There are a few details that were a bit annoying though, like the fact that some ui often go out of the screen, and that the UI displayed in yellow is almost unreadable due to the glow. But nothing that would prevent me having a good time with the game !

Strange experience. Cool somehow. Very own style. I did not understand everything, but enjoyed the game still. I had some glitches while playing.

Thank you @chris-mcknight ! Yes we had a problem with the lights. 40 min before the release le post process decided it had enought and it desappeared. We didn't manage to take him fully back in the game. The game should have been way more brighter. But it's a Jam, we all deal with surprises, good and bad ^^

So much love you've put into this. I actually enjoyed the slightly-crappy dragging logic ('cuz I had one just like that in one of my previous jam games :D). However it was a bit chaotic and it took me two tries to figure out what's what. Still, I didn't achieve any better results after I've started thinking about my actions instead of randomly dragging everyone around :D I totally feel for the late-introduced bugs. Congrats on putting this together in such a big team, well done.

Took me a minute to figure out what I was doing and how to move people but once I did, had a lot of fun with it! Like other comments mention it was a little chaotic to try and work out. Some of the positions you can place the developers also result in their stats going off-screen which is unfortunate. I really like the art style and the audio is nice too. Super funny game and very meta, especially with the random events and comments after the 'game' has been released. Really great work :)

Could do with a bit more tutorialisation to get into this one but overall really impressed, the graphics style is also amazing and something you should be super proud of achieveing in the time!

stamestratagem 2022-04-09 12:14

Funny idea. It was disturbing though that the lights went on and off in the areas, I couldn't see what I'm doing. Also tha dupes' stats couldn't be seen when they were in the shower because it went off the screen.

Nice work!

Very cool idea for a game, super meta! I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to interact at first but once I realized I could click and drag the team members, I was able to get the hang of it well.

I think it would be useful to permanently see the stats of each character (maybe at the bottom of the screen or something) and make it easier to tell who's who. When there was an event like a certain character lost morale, I had to check all the characters to find who they were so I could send them to the right location.

The graphics were great and the animations were wonderful. Overall, it was a really cool experience. Great job!

Should maybe had a bit more intro, and onboarding/tutorial section. But hey, its a game jam, hard to get everything in! But love the idea :-)

pierre-baudoin 2022-04-15 23:44

@daniel-maccormick We intended to make skin or at least color for each team member but time flew and we couldn't find the time, especially because some of us were working on Monday. Same for the unboarding, we didn't have the time to tell everything we should.

Thank you for your comment, hopefully you had fun with it ^^

I appreciate the connection between self care and a good result!

It is a beautiful game. I like the art and audio which creates the mood. The balancing management game design was an interesting take. Good job on the game.

otterfaelure 2022-04-21 09:53

This was a super cool idea and I absolutely loved the atmosphere that was set from the very beginning. My only complaint is that the management felt needlessly challenging due to not being able to monitor the rooms all at once, already trying to manage that many people was challenging but it took me awhile to realize that I had to retrieve people from the side rooms, and there's no way of knowing when they're ready other than clicking the room, and checking on them. That being said, balance in a jam is REALLY HARD to get so, well done!

zimny11 2022-04-21 16:47

Really cool art style and music! I love the idea behind the game. There are few things that could have been improved: I would prefer to see all rooms at once, not only one I click, the needs info is outside of screen if character is sleeping. Besides that, awesome job!

xjcl 2022-04-21 19:10

I kind of thought this was an overused idea, but the execution was really nice :)
