Honestly there is a lot of talent on display here. The blending of terrain painting, the cape as a progress bar, the layering of the different audio elements. There is a lot of highly complex mechanics in here that you should feel very proud of being able to accomplish in the 72hr timeframe. I would make some adjustment to the UI, the power symbols were hard to tell what they were at first, improve some of the players animations, add some more variety and types of objects per biome to give some more variety. All in all though this is a great game concept and you should feel very good of the work you did, especially considering how all the mechanics game be reused in later jams.
