I like the concept! You should add to your description that mouse-wheel changes between abilities, took me a short while to figure that out
It's also nice to get all 3 of the biomes placed and hear the full track with the different instruments!

Honestly there is a lot of talent on display here. The blending of terrain painting, the cape as a progress bar, the layering of the different audio elements. There is a lot of highly complex mechanics in here that you should feel very proud of being able to accomplish in the 72hr timeframe. I would make some adjustment to the UI, the power symbols were hard to tell what they were at first, improve some of the players animations, add some more variety and types of objects per biome to give some more variety. All in all though this is a great game concept and you should feel very good of the work you did, especially considering how all the mechanics game be reused in later jams.

This was a very beautiful idea! I loved the musical elements and restoring life to the grey landscape. I agree with others that the game did not explain how to switch between powers. It's sometimes easy to forget what a new player will not know :) You and your sister obviously have great minds, and your skills will continue to grow. Thanks for the game!
Nice idea, pretty unique concept!
Love the graphics, although the game wouldn't load
I love this game's central themes of exploration and reinvigorating the environment! There are SO MANY games out there that either take resource exploitation as a given or make it an explicit part of the mechanics. Keeper of Colors totally turns that assumption on its head. I imagine some version with a much larger world to explore in conjunction with some light puzzling and engaging movement could really push this into being are very popular sort-of 'cozy core' game. Obviously with the limited time a jam affords doing something like that would be impossible, but as a proof of concept this is a wonderful entry - really great job!

There are a lot of cool things packed into here for 72 hour jam game! I especially like the way the music blends between the biomes.
This is pretty chill and cool. I found the mouselook programmatic when not full-screen (like when playing via web), as when I stop turning when the mouse wanders out the play area.

oops, i enjoyed making trees so much that i accidentally created a forest so dense i couldn't move! had some problems getting used to the movement, but loved the idea and mood of it. Screenshot from 2022-04-13 00-21-36.png

Good job with some of the visuals. I liked the music. It could have used some sound effects though. There are some good concepts here. It would be nice if you could fly up and see what you created.

Ah, there's much more here than meets the eye at first! Maybe you should include an intriguing screenshot in the description here - I for one missed the cover image used on the games list.
The biomes look great and blend nicely too. I agree with the other comments, there's a lot of nice touches to this one. I found the audio a bit hard to hear - maybe you could add a theme for the "empty" terrain, so that you can expect the musical changes, and adjust your sound levels (for a while I thought there are no sounds).
Add an in-game tutorial and some explicit goals (e.g. cover some percentage of the map, paint biomes accordingly to some colouring, or fight against some decay timer?), and you'll have yourself a very complete game. Very impressive for 72 hours!

I'm loving this concept. Making the empty world feel alive again is great. I liked how the music changes depending on the biome. I hope you keep working on it past LD jam, I'd love to see how you expand on that idea.
The only thing I could ask for is to move faster. Or fly, so I could look upon the glorious world I created :)
bug: I have no idea how I did it, but I managed to get stuck in the "power poop" pose and couldn't move any more.
The first time I painted with my power was definitely a wow moment for me like "oh that's so cool!". I also liked that I could keep powering up in the same place to get more of the rocks and trees in certain areas. There are so many different things you could do with a gameplay mechanic like this.
Nicely done!
This is a very cool concept and an impressive execution of it. The music is nice, but the individual tracks are often out of sync. You can also press E at any time to show the end message, which I'm guessing is only supposed to show up when the cape is fully colored in, though I'm not sure. I really like that the foliage can be layered, and had a lot of fun building a really dense forest and getting up to the treeline.
Overall, it's a really nice proof of concept, and definitely has the potential of being a central mechanic in a puzzle game, or perhaps something more relaxing or artsy.
