LD38 — A Small World

Contamination by schizoid2k 2017-04-26T18:19:35Z

A good concept for the theme, and a nice little game.

The web player there seemed to be cropped a little at the top and bottom, not that it effected the game, but anyways.

Unfortunately I had a hard time remembering how to use both movement and shooting, but it was fun to play several times anyway and at least I managed to get 148 points. Hmm... might try ooone more time...

World Destroyer by Move127 2017-05-02T19:10:42Z

I liked it! NIce simple mechanics that made interesting problems. But had to stop after a few levels when I got too frustrated by my mistakes. I'm not very good at games that demand timing and coordination, my brain kept going the wrong way when I was on the "bottom" half of the world, so I can't really blame the game for that. I appreciated that you could shoot yourself in the back if you weren't careful, that's a nice moral to a horrible world destroying story!

Where is mommy? by jQnas 2017-04-27T23:43:15Z

This really captures how horrible it was to be a little child getting lost, even your own home is suddenly huge and mysterious. Moving around and seeing stuff was a bit awkward, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it made me feel more like the little protagonist. I especially liked the getting-too-scared-feature!

Carefulzilla by glimaleite 2017-04-26T18:34:33Z

Really cute game! So tempting to just smash everything, though...

In my first try I managed to get stuck when I took a BIG step beyond one of those brown hills, that was i little frustrating. (But no real problem since i just had to start the game again.)

Very rewarding to finally use the stomping power for good after being careful all the way there!

AS Mall World by Sean S. LeBlanc 2017-05-16T19:13:47Z

The money gun is a great idea! It was a bit hard reading what people were saying, but that wasn't really a problem since it was mostly small talk and advertising, just like in the real world. For some reason the game didn't work when I tried it on itch (I just got a black screen) but the web version worked fine. I enjoyed it!

Heckin' Ants by Thirsty 2017-05-18T20:58:04Z

Nice and simple! I likes the background images. If I didn't have to start from the beginning I would have played longer!

Little House of Horrors by Archimagus 2017-04-27T22:35:31Z

It really feels like a complete game with the art, the sound, the text, and the mechanics. I had to keep playing until I finally beat Cthulhu. Character stats that didn't effect the game (I think?) made me wonder if you're planning on adding more to it? Or was it mostly for getting the right feeling? Anyway, good game!

Daydreaming Island by camilo 2017-04-30T21:03:14Z

I really liked this one! The music and the fragments of text really sets the mood.

I got a bug a couple of times where the text of one object kept coming back regardless of what I clicked. But it went away after the day was over.

One thing I especially appreciated was the passage of time. In a way you're in a vacuum, but the hours keep ticking away giving it a sense of urgency even if everything is still. Some things just takes time, so it's nice that the game has things that just wont do anything until you go to bed and come back in the morning! I don't know if the time actually was important, I finished with a couple of days to spare, but either way it was great with the theme of contemplating life and death.

Space Hummus by dietzribi 2017-04-26T16:19:45Z

I'm not very good att games that demand coordination, but I still got addicted and had to play it to the end! Nice touch to have a little story with it, too.

Snowed In by nuclearfriend 2017-04-28T15:18:48Z

The narration is great! It's a very nice little game, perfectly contained in its snow globe form.

Naarrow by Ace17 2017-04-27T21:44:40Z

The way the game starts strangely repetitive adds to the claustrophobic feeling, the music sets a fitting mood, and the way it progressed made me feel like I progressed with it. I liked it when I got the hang of moving around (even though some climbing through narrow spaces was really hard). Then I got stuck, couldn't figure out what "dash" did, and I had to give up, grudgingly, because I wanted to continue playing!

Our little island by tinyworlds 2017-04-30T09:27:11Z

Awww, a really sweet little game. I didn't understand the mechanics at first, but I have a feeling that the game was really forgiving and that it didn't hurt that I accidentally left my little brother hungry and sad for a while. The music was nice and the little sound effects were very cute (that is to say fitting very good). It took quite som time for me to finish, and I'm not sure I would have stayed for much longer without more feedback about getting closer to a goal. I'm happy to have played this!

A Week's Passing by iseeicy 2017-04-26T15:34:42Z

When day 2 started, I was a little worried that it would all be about routine and repetitiveness, but I was pleasantly surprised! The creepy, empty, low-poly world fits the story very well. I especially liked how it got harder to wake up - it really captured how it feels sometimes. The ending felt a little abrupt to me after the slow build-up, but I appreciated that the game was telling a story.

Jar of Life by hunttis 2017-05-18T20:49:39Z

This was a very nice little game! It's so simple, but that doesn't make it any less interesting to look at. Very much like looking at a little piece of nature going about its business. I didn't really understand when my predator would die (are there clues that I missed) but it was so easy to just start up a new game and experiment, so that didn't reallly matter. I liked it!

ghost story by ooku 2017-04-26T13:21:25Z

The mechanics with switching form works very well. I would easily keep playing if the game hade been longer. (Perhaps the ghost could possess bodies with other capabilities?) I appreciate the little pieces of story too, it gives the game personality.

I got some sort of bug while playing the web version: every now and then when i respawned the purple blocks where offset a bit vertically, getting partially submerged in the ground. This happened less than 1/10 times but I got it a few times (yes, I died a lot).

Some parts were harder than they looked, like landing on the platforms right after the gif above, you had to be at the precisely right hight to get through, otherwise my little ghost would just bang against the wall, frustrated.

Overall a nice game with good simple graphics!

Spike Spire by Acuity 2017-05-16T21:21:20Z

aahh, i just had to give upp without even getting anywhere. i'm not too good at this kind of game, but at least i was prepared for it to be difficult so i'll try not to take it personally. i'd try it again if it was calibrated a bit to make it a little less impossibly hard. nice music (it's still playing in a tab as i'm writing).

Don't Make Me Stop This Car! by UncleChris 2017-04-26T17:53:18Z

I like that the game is autobiographical! I actually made it to the other town a couple of times, but that might have been mostly luck, since father won't let any traffic stop his progress. The "restart" after winning didn't work for me (but I could reload the page quickly so it didn't matter much). Too bad you had to cut the features making it more complex, they sound nice.

Penicilin wars by kajmak 2017-04-25T19:34:54Z

Great to see someone doing stop motion! I like the concept and characters look good (especially the armed penicillin). I tried playing with keyboard at first, that works except I didn't find a way to fire my gun, making things even harder...

Kryp by Nahkala 2017-05-17T10:10:58Z

Linux user here with more problems: I didn't even get the start screen, it was all black. But at least I got music! Too bad, it seemed nice!

Shrink by Shamps 2017-04-28T13:09:18Z

Good idea to use Alice in Wonderland! Mice as enemies was fitting, but I was killed several times before I even realised what happened, I didn't see them at all until the next level. I would have liked to explore the mechanics more, maybe growing bigger too, there's lots of potential there.

Colonized Panda by Pashok 2017-04-29T12:31:02Z

Great storytelling! The idea is perfect for the theme, and there's a nice melancholy feeling (especially helped by the music) to being a lonely panda slowly dying in space.

In a way it's logical that there's some waiting between events, when all you can do is spin around. But it got a bit frustrating, even more on the second round. So perhaps there could be a way to skip ahead, or to camouflage the waiting with something happening on screen? And maybe there could labels on the different meters, I kept forgetting which was what.

All in all a very nice game, I might come back to try and get those four endings I haven't seen yet!

AETHER CRYSTAL by fanna 2017-04-27T18:55:36Z

I liked it! It took a while before I realised it was a puzzle, and then it got more interesting. It has a nice, friendly mood and the minimalistic pixel art look good. But juust as I finally solved the final puzzle, the game turns all blue and everything freezes. I hope it can be solved, because I really want to know how it ends!

AETHER CRYSTAL by fanna 2017-04-28T13:12:44Z

Yay, now I have some closure!

Her name by canochaba 2017-04-25T18:16:52Z

I love the concept! With very simple means the game made me empathise with the protagonist, feeling the world shrinking. One thing I missed was an option to fast-forward the dialogue, that would make it more inviting to replay to get that other ending.

OUTWORN INSTINCT by WetBox 2017-04-25T20:59:14Z

This was a great experience from start to finish! I appreciated the mood, the feeling of a world falling apart more and more... I'd like to see the continuation that's hinted at in the end. The only thing I had trouble with was the text, sometimes it got obscured in the game.

Johi Farm by AVAVT 2017-04-25T18:30:24Z

As someone who often struggles with gardening, this game speaks to me. So many enemies hurting my crops! A simple and friendly little game, with music and graphics that fit the mood. I didn't get very far on my first three tries, so maybe it could have been made a little bit easier for the first couple of rounds?

The Dance We Do by PapyPilgrim 2017-05-19T20:12:57Z

Very nice! Like filling in a colouring book, very soothing. Maybe the final level was a little too long, but I guess it fits with the pleasant slowness of the game.

Platform Styx by MoneaGames 2017-05-16T16:55:05Z

I loved this! I loved it so much that I kept playing and restartng even after running into several problems. The first time I ended up outside of the train after the first carriage, that was interesting, but unfortuntately I couldn't get in again. Then the game kept crashing just before the end. And the camera movements made me a little sea sick. Also, my computer didn't understand the fonts in the start screen. But really these things didn't stop me from enjoying this a lot!

Barter by kpded 2017-05-08T21:07:53Z

I liked the idea! Getting friends of friends to trust you seems like a good and sort of realistic way for things to work. And the thought of flocks of men without shirts or pants, milling about wanting to trade stuff, is funny. I got that bug with the remaining window too (in the web version), but I managed to play for a little while at least.

Finitely Big by gemcc 2017-04-28T13:45:29Z

A very very small game indeed. I would have liked to "do" more, but on the other hand, that would have been just as pointless in the end. A game well made to communicate this big/little message about futility!

Naziverse by furazin 2017-04-28T13:28:20Z

Soo... My computer crashed when I launched this (on linux). Everything went black, I couldn't do anything. A nazi conspiracy perhaps?

Insekter!! by dskeppstedt 2017-05-02T20:34:21Z

That's some hardcore space capitalism when the vending machine kills you for being in debt! I was about to give up really early, I kept dying in the very first time I met the bugs. But! I persisted and was rewarded. It was very satisfying to get the Big Gun after fighting so hard for it (I especially liked that it was so powerful that it pushed me backwards). Then it was really fun for a good while. The music is nice and adds to the stressfulness. Unfortunately I managed to end up out of the level somehow, out in the black area. Too bad, because it felt like I was getting close! Anyway, it was fun!

(I feel compelled to say that spiders aren't insects, even if that is completely irrelevant to the game.)

Flight of Claude by Lyxil 2017-05-19T16:51:02Z

How did I miss that there was a magpie game until now!? Lovely story (and longer than I was expecting!) and beautiful images. (I was sad that it wasn't for linux, but I got to borrow a windows computer just for trying this.)

Smell World by sgadrat 2017-04-28T14:43:01Z

The art is nice! The mazes I got seemed to always be rather easy, I could almost always just go in the direction of the smell, so every level was very quick. I feel like this game could probably work well with children!

Also, when I tried it in my browser it wouldn't start, pressing the arrows didn't do anything.

Den by La mecanique du plastique 2017-04-28T14:20:11Z

A beautiful game! Very fun to be a huge monster crushing anything in my path at first (the humans are so small and insignificant, they all look the same) - and then having to stop and think if that is really the only way to play. Hope you continue to develop it, I'd love to play more!

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Eat, Love, Prey by MrTroy 2017-12-17T13:20:56Z

I like the tone of the writing, and playing was nice and simple. I had trouble with running out of the screen sometimes, and maybe the sheep breeding should be a little less random, because the second time I played it there didn't seem to come any lambs?

Unsocial Media by CreativeWhisper 2017-12-21T18:06:42Z

I can't get the Linux version to start, I only get a black screen. I've been having weird troubles lately so not sure if it's my fault or not...

Blobville by Erkberg 2017-12-26T12:39:42Z

Nice way to make use of resources! After building the first three houses i got stuck for a while and it didn't feel like anything more was happening, but just as I was about to give up the final instructions came, and then of course I had to complete the game. Very cute!

Disintegrate by zenmumbler 2017-12-17T13:51:25Z

I liked it! The only problem I had was a bit of motion sickness, but I get that from most 3D things, unfortunately. The atmosphere is great, and makes just walking around (umm, yeah, I got lost a couple of times) feel interesting! I would have liked to play even longer, but as it is, it's an excellent little minimalist horror story.

The Dark Castle by Joror 2017-12-08T21:07:16Z

I got hooked! Hmm... I'm probably going to try a couple of more times to see if i can get more endings. I appreciate the amount of text and story you've created! And having an inventory full of intangible stuff like "crows gratitude" and "remorse".

Cracks by YouBeStrong 2017-12-28T18:37:38Z

Sweet little game! I kind of think that the sound of the text seemed to aggressive compared to the mellow feeling of music and art, but that was just a detail. I really appreciate games like this, that tell a story and feel personal.

Alphabet Cereal by kakarotsan 2017-12-09T18:19:16Z

Ahhh... hate those consonants! But got stuck playing several times anyway. Nice and simple, and with a bit of polishing (maybe a liiittle less consonants for a while? and some slightly less annoying music? showing all time high-scores?) it could become even more addictive! I like that it stands out from a lot of more "typical" ludum entries!

Samurai Shaver by DDRKirbyISQ 2017-12-17T16:53:57Z

Wow this is a beautiful game! Don't have much to add, it really felt very complete, with art and sound working together perfectly.

Silicone Dreams by comatomatoes 2017-12-17T16:37:15Z

Horrifying! I love it. I wasn't very good at the game though, but that didn't feel as important as creating a new beautiful monster face... The event/job/surgery-cards gave me a nice board game-feeling, but then I think it would feel more logical that I would get to keep some cards for the future? (Now imagining some sort of game wiht a clay head you modify, hmmm...)

Muldulamulom by mase 2017-12-08T23:00:14Z

aahhh beautiful! too bad i suck at this kind of game, but i persisted quite a while despite dying all the time. it was impossible for me to tell what would kill me (and how soon), so (as others have said) some feedback would be nice. anyway, want to see more of this pretty stuff!

Honey Empire by chriiis88 2017-12-17T15:11:13Z

I love the "ugly" artstyle, especially the bees themselves. I guess I was lucky (or is it perhaps my experience as an actual beekeeper that helps?), because I never had any problems, and after buying everything I let it run while having dinner so that I got to "win". Not the most satisfying victory perhaps, but I had to try since you set the goal at 10000. But now that I think about it, did it actually get worse the more there was? Anyway, I liked the little stories about my individual bees, and there were lots of funny little details!

Slightly annoying traffic by JOrbits 2017-12-06T19:32:16Z

nice little game! i never got very far, it reminds me that i dislike traffic and shouldn't drive, it's too stressful!

Procedural City Maze by artmajcher 2017-12-17T17:43:50Z

It's a nice and simple design, but it was way too hard for me, mostly because I was having trouble staying on the path (and not understanding that the floor was lava at first). Also, when I walked out from the "board" i fell to my death but nothing seemed to kill me, so I just had to wait for the 60 seconds to pass.

FUNKONOMIX 2021 by jelch 2017-12-13T00:06:21Z

Cute body horror! I didn't fully understand the mechanics, and like others have said, some more feedback would be nice. But it was very enjoyable nonetheless! I wanted to eat everything...

Save the Moths by cavi 2017-12-25T21:34:17Z

Nice idea! Really hard though, maybe some simpler level to start with would have been nice.

family man. by Frolicks 2017-12-25T21:20:44Z

Insteresting dystopian setting! I feel that there must be things missing, I didn't figure out how to actually leave an interaction except by stopping to press space, was that intended? After the second interaction I got lost and couldn't find my next client.

Fear Of The Future by PUR3 2017-12-21T00:28:19Z

I really appreciate games as expressions of their creators' thoughts! The simple form works well with the content. Interestingly, I started out treating it as any other platformer, avoiding falling into pits etcetera, but then I was faced with the fact that I would have to fall into one pit or another, no one gets out alive. I think maybe the quotes are a bit too on-the-nose sometimes, and if you were to develop the game further, you could probably find more subtle and personal ways to express the paths of life. Anyway, I enjoyed this game, and felt compelled to get to all of the endings!

Hell Venture Tycoon by healthire 2017-12-27T01:48:53Z

Something happened, and my number of souls got stuck at 21/250, no matter what I did (in the web version). Too bad, I wanted to see what came next!

NoteBoy by carlosvVk 2017-12-20T22:47:01Z

I was so bad at this! But it was a well made little game with fitting minimalistic design. One thing I missed was some more feedback when I died, sound and/or visuals would be nice.

Cushion Catastrophe by Riemann Integrable 2017-12-21T00:52:02Z

The cat is cute and the idea is good, but it's frustrating when it's unclear where I should jump... Very tempting to play just one more round when it restarts, even though I never get very far.

Filthy-rich and Fastuous by Epono 2017-12-13T18:20:09Z

It's so hard being rich! I failed at buying stuff sometimes even though I think I clicked (or could something be too expensive even for me?). Very stressful, just as it should be. A nice little game!

Pigeon by RIBOUT Horace 2017-12-20T17:32:58Z

The temptation of overeating feels like a realistic problem for a poor city pigeon! I only experienced (or noticed) the the slowness from eating too much one time, so that could maybe be better balanced (as you mentioned in some comment above I think). But actually it really didn't seem important, I just wanted to be a pigeon, eat som crumbs, and have a nice day. The mean crow trying to get you to compete more with your fellow pigeons was a nice touch, too!

Survival Christmas Madness by Eugene Myach 2017-12-26T12:00:37Z

I'm a sucker for monstrous santas, so this was perfect for me! Even if the gameplay was a bit monotonous, the well written story kept it fun and interesting all the way! Just one complaint: I couldn't find a way to to quit the game. (I played the linux version)

Jenny & the Guy by Sunzed 2017-12-12T00:33:16Z

It's cute! I replayed it and found that I was more entertained by making all the "bad" decisions (picking the "nice" ones came naturally, but the game ended so quickly). Then I think I ran out of story, there was one repeated choice (shareholders' meeting) and then I got stuck, very unhappy and with no more options. Not all that different from a boring job perhaps...

There was some times where the text didn't fit the buttons, and one time I had to scroll down to see the text in a tiny space. Anyway, it's nice to find a game that tells a story.

Psychosis Diagnosis by Spencer Hower 2017-12-21T00:35:02Z

Some more information would be helpful! I keep dying and can't figure out what to do! Can I even hurt the enemies? The mood is good, but so far I'm failing here...

Swampman by TylerCode 2017-12-20T23:48:51Z

Soo... I won't be able to rate this properly. When I played in Firefox I think I died after 3 seconds, and the screen turned black. But the music persisted. And wouldn't stop until I restarted my browser. But I still wanted to play, so I tried in Itch... This time the screen stayed white and I didn't get to see any of the game. AND THE MUSIC IS STILL PLAYING and I don't know how to turn it off. The music isn't bad, but I wish I had some control over it...

Grave Danger by Filip Bergkvist 2017-12-26T13:35:29Z

Some really nice looking art here! I didn't play it all the way (got a little lost and frustrated) but loved the characters I met. Hope you make more of this sort in the future.

A Clearly Uninspired Title by Milo The Cool Guy 2017-12-26T13:12:53Z

Okay... telling players to go in blind is asking a lot, but I guess it was necessary for your point, maybe? Insteresting to see that even this game is getting fairly nice comments, I guess that says a lot about this community!

Model Trains Inc by Local Minimum 2018-12-24T11:16:04Z

aww thanks, @dwemthy! the meaty blob in my profile is actually from an earlier LD: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=24765

(if you need more stop motion i can direct you to my other stuff at http://hannesundin.tumblr.com/ mostly christmas themed at the moment)

It's under control by ludipe 2018-12-30T20:50:54Z

this was cute and friendly! one thing i would have liked is if all the options were visible so you don't have to click to get them all. i liked the encouraging tone and that there wasn't a way to "win".

Night of the Clawrm by dwemthy 2018-12-17T01:08:49Z

Cute and horryfing game! Very stressful to see my life running out, really got me motivated to hunt villagers. Once I brought a victim, but the clawrm got me instead, so maybe I missed some mechanics? Anyway, very enjoyable.

Colors of Your World by DDRKirbyISQ 2018-12-15T17:11:36Z

I enjoyed playing this! Unfortunately I don't have Optimal Gamer Dexterity, so i had to die A LOT but I kept at it because it was addictive. But in the end I had to give up at the place mentioned in the comment above, it just didn't seem possible for me. Up until then the gradually increasing difficulty was very good, though.

I loved the aesthetics of the scene with the dramatic crows (ravens?), even though the "sacrifice" didn't really feel like a sacrifice in the continuing game. But trading part of your vision for a skill is an excellent deal to make...

Colors of Your World by DDRKirbyISQ 2018-12-15T19:26:49Z

oh, i'll just have to force my partner into playing so i get to watch the end!

i now realize forgot to mention a few details. one time after dying, when i started again i was running and falling off an edge, making me die again. this went on and was unresponsive for a few times and then went back to normal. (i might have been frustrated and pressed ALL the buttons when i made this happen). and one time i managed to land and stand still like this:ld.png

really not something that bothered me, but perhaps it's useful to you.

One Life One Tear by Jungle 2018-12-17T20:01:39Z

Very good use of the theme. Really felt horrible to turn people away, and seeing empty beds that couldn't be used due to lacking supplies...

A Bird in Paradise by CptFinn 2018-12-17T20:25:25Z

I enjoyed the flying mechanics (even though I kept going splat! at the ground all the time) and the theme is perfect. I managed to get stuck on the intro scene, I lost my victim without moving on somehow. Couldn't recreate it when I tried later so I can't say exactly what I did wrong...

Organic Harvest by shujal 2018-12-21T01:58:28Z

I liked this a lot! My only problem was that some things that looked like they should be simple (cutting along a line, connecting blood vessels) where quite hard to get right sometimes. Use of theme was excellent, after a while I got used to just dumping the useless patients after harvest, not thinking too much about it...

Salty Horde by gagapete 2018-12-17T00:46:39Z

Loved the idea of using your own body to defend yourself, getting smaller and weaker as you get worn down! My poor slime never survived the harsh wintery level, but I enjoyed the game very much anyway. It was frustrating when I got to the stage where I couldn't do anything more than trying to run away knowing I was doomed... But that's just the way things are sometimes!

Wolf Trouble by Bonelazy 2018-12-17T21:51:20Z

This was hard! I'm no sharpshooter... There were several nice details, like the breeding sheep with their hearts (and later lambs), and the spooky howling. One detail I missed was a quit-option so I wouldn't have to do it ny force.

Sense Shift by mambojambo 2018-12-18T00:55:37Z

This was a great experience! I would love to keep playing if you made more levels. My only possible objection is that I got confused when not all levels demanded listening... Anyway, very nice to mix up the use of senses a bit, vision is a bit over done.

Point & Sin - Ludum Dare 43 edition by Simanis 2018-12-17T20:09:40Z

I'm on linux and i only get a black screen (with sound, though). I've been known to get lots of weird bugs so it might be all on my side... Too bad!

Point & Sin - Ludum Dare 43 edition by Simanis 2018-12-17T20:20:45Z

sure, thanks! (hope it's not just me having unrelated issues)

Point & Sin - Ludum Dare 43 edition by Simanis 2018-12-17T20:59:47Z

It worked! Unfortunately I sort of suck at these kinds of games, but I enjoyed this anyway (until I died one time too many). Good mood, and looking good. Tiny detail: your font is *barely* legible sometimes, but maybe that's not a problem if you sort of knows what it's supposed to say.

It's your life, dude by Guy Withivy 2018-12-16T15:45:21Z

I couldn't quite understand the reason for doing things, but gameplay was nice and easy enough so i played it all the way through. Was kind of hoping for some scoring or other way to tell me how I had lived my life!

edit: reading other comments i now saw that i had missed completely that you could switch non-matching pictures! interesting that i could finish the game without realizing...

Goblinz Demizess by Lodugh 2018-12-17T18:46:17Z

Ahh the mood here is great! Those big sad goblin eyes looking at me, judging me for not making the right decisions! And a very good fit to the theme. Beautiful. I hope you continue to develop it, more interactions and story would be really nice. One problem I had was that I couldn't keep the characters apart (typical human chauvinist as I am) and forgot their names, so I accidentally gave things to the wrong person. But 3/4 survived anyway so I count that as a success...

Tiodrem Reserve by Bungus Productions 2018-12-27T12:16:36Z

i liked the music and setting, but got stuck really early! Too bad, wanted to keep going.

Minotaur Maitre D by Steve Moore 2018-12-17T15:29:50Z

A nice little game! I would probably have kept playing for longer if the graphics were less minimalistic, but as it is it's very functional and easy to understand. (Also, is there no sound? I didn't hear anything. In that case maybe you want to opt out of audio rating)

Species: You are the God by econgamer 2018-12-16T13:15:40Z

this was very hard! good premise and potentially educational. but the lions were to good at eating for their own good. so my circle of life didn't keep circling for very long. i think that it could have been addictive if it was easier in the beginning, to give players a chance to gradually get into it.

Leaf blower by Papaver 2019-10-21T11:07:00Z

Nice and relaxing mood here, in a calm autumn landscape. Sometimes things were frustrating, I never fully got a feeling for the controls, but wanted to keep playing till the end anyway. The quick respawning after dying was good, so it didn't feel hopeless even after struggling a while. (I burnt some food I was cooking because I got so caught up in this...)

First, you get the potatoes by Kodiqi 2019-10-24T22:07:34Z

nice and addictive. howerver, after a few prestige things, i got back to enemies only giving 3 gold (previous level it was 8) and that was too much of a step back!

extremely minor thing (only noticed because i stared at your game more than reasonably time because i wanted to keep playing) is that some text is blurry, maybe it's been scaled or something:

anyway potatoes is a very good theme.

Hungry Ghost by printablealice 2019-10-20T15:05:30Z

That ghost is so adorable, especially the eating part. Nice simple graphics. Unfortunately it quickly became to hard for me, but would have like to see more of the world!

Chopped mannequin by Gulfick 2019-10-20T18:36:10Z

aaahhhhhh! i enjoyed this! i didn't understand the controls, when i think i do they seem to do the opposite. but it's still fun. i managed to... flip the world somehow?? got all the body parts at least!!Screenshot from 2019-10-20 20-36-01.png

The Drainpipe Market by Tom Frikker 2019-10-20T18:48:24Z

cute game! nice to see all these characters. i never fully understood the logic, but that felt fine, when trading with magical sewer creatures i don't demand realism. at the end(?) i couldn't click to trade for Marty to take me home? (at least that's what i thought it was offering, but now that i clicked other stuff i can only see the descriptions of items...)

John The Worm by Tokoro 2019-10-20T14:51:07Z

Interesting ideas here, like guiding the character by finger snapping sounds? I would have appreciated some more guidance, I almost gave up several times, including right at the beginning not understanding what was happening at all (it seemed very slow to get the first action to start) and it was not obvious to me that I could move the arrow to see more (sometimes but not always?). Anyway it's a cute little story!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Keeper of Colors by Lazzor 2022-04-12T22:28:05Z

oops, i enjoyed making trees so much that i accidentally created a forest so dense i couldn't move! had some problems getting used to the movement, but loved the idea and mood of it. Screenshot from 2022-04-13 00-21-36.png

Shades of Deception by AMastryukov 2022-04-13T19:36:48Z

very good looking game! i'd love to keep playing but got stuck in the beginning, not sure why, but one thing i saw was that i got the "E" prompt for interacting wih the car but it didn't work (the other objects worked fine)

SpaceShifting: Deady or Not by Anuradha 2022-04-20T19:45:20Z

I really like the plot of poor lonely astronaut going crazy and destructive! (Or being invaded, of course...)

LD52 — Harvest

Turtle Atoll by MaiMai 2023-01-20T21:00:13Z

i enjoyed the idea of humans as basically ammo. i have a poor sense of direction, so i forgot which way i was supposed to go, but it never became a problem since the game felt nice and relaxing.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

What is Love by been 2018-04-28T09:41:26Z

I failed several times and then had to give up trying to win. The simple graphics worked fine, but the music seemed to turn on and off for some reason. The fighting part was very easy, but then the mysterious dialogue was hard to figure out. But I suspect that was intentional, communication can be really hard!

ELECTROLIFE 2097 by neontropics 2018-04-28T19:07:45Z

Damn, the vibes were soo good untill I started killing the creatures... Appearently I suck at sneaking and photography, so I keep dying without a single GVP. But I like the game a lot anyway, and I'll probably try a couple of times more.

The world feels really big and interesting, and taking photos feels satisfying even if I fail at what I'm supposed to do!

Someone Is Wrong On The Internet by huminaboz 2018-04-28T18:39:42Z

Gameplay was simple, but kept being challenging (even more so since English isn't my first language) and I really felt that I wanted to win. Battling on the internet was a clever setting, you will never run out of enemies. Also, I liked the twist at the end!

I have to say that I was *very* skeptical after seeing the character art on the cover image... But, I guess it is part of the genre, so it fits!
