Nice gameplay, jumps are a little too rigid though I think.

Nice gameplay, jumps are a little too rigid though I think.
Some feedbacks missing, but quite nice to play
Really nice work, didn't expect to enjoy myself as much as I did!
A couple of things though : - You should consider increasing the size of the pointer. With that many projectiles on the screen, it's easy to lose track of it. - The last boss is quite challenging, but also a bit unfair. Unless I missed it, you can't know when a tower or the boss is going to shoot.
Other than that, great game!
itβs not there
Seems that you put a lot of work into it, but you should have a detailed tutorial, it's way to hard to understand by my own (or maybe i'm just stupid π€)
Same as Mr.McGibblets, can't open it (Windows 10).
Nice graphics and steering controls
Very nice concept, but it needs a lot of polishing before it can be really enjoyed.
I don't have any idea of the acceleration / speed / size of my character, wich means that even with the help of the eyes, it's really hard top know where you actually are. Maybe you should have a first level that would act as a tutorial, where you can see your character, and where you introduce the eyes.
Great work !
Is the lack of pointer on the screen a design choice ? I think it would be easier to target well with one.
Lighting is indeed really pretty.
PS : Really liked the "lulululululu" sound as well :)
@nalia1991 When we visited other games and saw a lot these "Post LD versions", we decided to balance out just this thing, but I guess you're right, we'll put back our original submission as well.
By the way, thanks for the comments and ratings guys :)
@jezzamon, @nalia1991 already pointed that out, we rectified it. The link in "Links" is the official version we originally uploaded, only the one just under "POST LDJAM fixes" is the modified version.
Really well done ! I do believe it misses a few feedbacks to know actually WHEN to press an arrow.
Really low FPS on a laptop computer and didn't know how to interact with the environment. Seems like you spent most of the time learning UE4, more than actually making the game.
Haaaaaaaaaaard
Really nice idea, too bad you didn't have the time to do more.
Good work with the camera, it gives a cinematic effect to the game which I really like (although sometimes the switch from one spot to another is a bit weird / not practical)
Adding an heavy ambient music would enhance a lot the mood, IMO.
As everybody above said, some sound would be greatly appreciated :) The jump is a little weird too I think
Why didn't you use the a key for picking and another one for droping / throwing ? Sounds more logic to me. The only time it would maybe be problematic is if there is the gun and a Fucko at range, which one do you pick, but other than that, I think it's for the best.
Cool concept and nice graphics :)
As @BudgieM2 said, long pauses are a bummer. Maube by increasing the rate of falling items, but reducing a bit the speed at which they fall, you could be onto something more fun !
Alo, while a little backstory is always nice, having to go through (relatively speaking) long "cutscenes" is a pain for me, so try to keep it short, especially for a jam game.
Nice concept though !
Nice game, really cool graphics and sound design (although it was a bit loud)
Also, don't know if that's a bug or intended, but you run faster diagonally :)
@lautregars, good on you for noticing x) We discovered the language a few months back and fell in love with it. Sadly, not (yet) affiliated to them in any way.
@gufovsky, it was indedd intented, although I'm not really satisfied with them, we should have added some more depth to them.
@asghardian-game-studio, we are wondering if we won't do just that, add leaderboard, polish a bit and put it on the Play Store, see what happens.
@zantze, thanks for your kind words :)
@trivorak, thanks for the feedback, we'll look into that!
@everybodywhoplayedorwillpayourgame, lots of thanks for playing our silly simple game x)
@michael-silverman, those are some nice ideas, thank you :)
@pelafro, yeah you're right, thanks for the feedback!
@hooraygil, congrats! that's the highest score that I know of ^^ And yes, sometimes you don't have enough money to buy certain items.
@madbeagle, thanks, we are actually thinking about it
@picapica, exactly, you earn a lot of money, but you're not always rich enough to buy some items, thanks for coming :)
@pndaa, just like your comment ;)
Really cool idea and well implemented, though the controls felt a bit harsh at time (too much inertia I believe)
The lack of sound (as feedback or background sound) is a real drawback for me :/
The game is not THAT fun, but the different types of turrets is a nice addition
I think it really lacks clear feedbacks (what action gives how many of what) and a small tutorial. At first (and still ^^) I didn't know with what I could interact, how many times, etc.
Cool idea tho
Really cool puzzle prototype! Loved the atmosphere.
A bit of polish and you'll got a very nice game :)
Thanks for playing and commenting !
@blobo, yeah we wanted to introduce some kind of health system but ended not having the time to implement it :/
@persy, it's a tough one indeed :D It's not a sprite ordering issue, it's very intended :) you can hide under tables as well.
Thank you all for playing!
@zozer, you're right, it's desperately lacking some polish :/
@pennycook, thanks for the kinds words :) Never encountered that bug though, maybe a browse thing.
@rkuhl, thanks for the feedback, we'll check what's wrong.
@aurel yeah, I don't know why we made the player restart the whole game, this definitely needs some fixing. The way visibily works is quite simple: NPCs are dumb, if you hide behind a couch or under a table, they forget you exist ^^
@franciszek-pyrc, we encountered it early on but we might have become accustomed to it because we totally didn't notice it when we played the release build before uploading ^^ any pointers?
@nander, sorry you feel that way, would you mind developing why you didn't appreciate it?
@folex70, thanks :)
@f1krazy, thanks for the detailed feedback. Yup, level design is meh, we wanted big rooms but didn't have enough to fill them sadly. As for the elevators, they indeed glow red when someone is approaching but since this mechanic was added very late, there might be a glitch somewhere. And for the game over screen, noted, didn't quite catch that :/
A bit confusing at first but challenging and funny!
As DeathStorm, at first it's a bit overwhelming (lots of numbers to keep track of, hard to know how many new animals you'll get, and when), it just needs a bit of polish and better explanation of the game internal rules.
P.S. Unlike DeathStorm, I enjoyed the music, even though the loop is indeed a bit short :)
Lots of clicks, some shortcuts would have been much appreciated to sacrifice and place units. VERY weird difficulty ramping, really easy start (once you understand how each unit works) but then wave 10 comes like a train. Got surprised and didn't have the motivation to try again because of the really slow start :/
Pretty cool TD game with a twist otherwise!
Nice entry! I got stuck in a wall and became invincible during my one of my playthroughs, welcome help to defeat the boss :p
Here are a few criticisms: - **-** Not very intuitive menu - **-** No "try again" after game over? - **+** Really cool art direction - **+** Funny gameplay loop - **-/+?** (I don't know where to put it aha)** The movement, which is very weird at first but creative:)
I think UI should be a little bigger / centered, very cool simple game otherwise, well played!
Interesting take on the theme with asynchronous multiplayer. The UI is very clear and intuitive. A bit too addictive for my taste though :)
Really cool concept, I especially love the way she serves the plates. As people said, tank controls are a bit weird for this kind of game in my opinion.
Really impressed by what you've accomplished overall.
Really great game, simple mechanics yet complex puzzles, good job!
Well that's depressing. Good game but depressing atmosphere ^^
Really cool concept and nice take on the theme. When I first started the game I tried to cover as much ground as possible and only realize that I sould have been more strategic about it when the entire land was burnt and I had nowhere left to go :p After that I was more careful of my decisions and had a much better time.
It's too bad you didn't have time to add more features because after the first few minutes of play it loses some novelty. As you said, a few other agents would bring a lot of life.
As for additional controls, what about some cooldowns, like launching a tornado to quickly recover from a bad situation?
Anyway, great entry.
The controls are a bit to precise for me and I spent a more time that I intended stuck on the first screen, but other than that, super impressed: - Really fun - HaxeFlixel doing awesome 3D <3 - Fricking catchy theme song
Quite complete for a jam game, congrats, although I wish it was a little more fast paced, constant slow dice rolls were hard on my patience :)
Very cool combination, lots of fun fun fun fun fun fun FUN, some risk & reward.
Solid entry
@Articulated9 & @Moontigr, oh thanks for the info, we left controls for the french keyboard, fixing it now, sorry :)
@gamepopper, @Moontigr, @Articulated9, my bad, fixed to quickly, inverted Down and Left keys, it's working now, sorry again!
AZERTY mode is really a really cool addition :) Nice little game, and I agree with people above, sounds and musics would make this some much better! And either no mouse control or no movement control make it less weird to control.
Positives: - Good looking effects, especially intro and credits sequences, props to you - The menu looks pro
Negatives: - Controls are way too simplistic, air control shouldn't be as strong - The default Unity background is ugly :( - I don't mind having to download an executable for a jam game, but having to install then uninstall it when i'm only gonna play it for a few tens of minutes top is a pain - Even for a jam, I thought it was a bit short, I spent more time installing it and in the menu than playing it :/
This might sound a bit harsh, but I only mean to help you ^^ looking forward to your next one!
