Nice work, a unique and a fun 2 play game. Feel free to drop a review at our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/boomball
pretty good game. looks good and for a racer platformer is surprisingly fun to play.
@Riddhee Dutta Thank you for trying out the game! BoomBall Looks cool! Will do try it now & rate it! Thanks again for the feedback!
@marioman68 Thank you for your review hope you like the game! You got any submission would you like me to rate?
nice!
Nice work there, just wish the tracks were a little bit longer. Btw the trailer looks awesome!
Remind me of mario kart on switch that I've played recently. I really like the voxel art style of your game.
Woah! The trailer made me play the game. Nice mix of themes. Good Job
@TheVash thank you for your comment
@zaguer thank you, we appreciate every feedback, and the tracks were short because of the short time we had but we will try to work on that on the next version, thank you
@mainghia95 thank you for your support we are glad you liked the voxel art style,
@Velocity7 thank you for your feedback, when people like what you do, that's what give you the motivation to keep doing what you do, thank you.
This is great!! A little instruction would be nice. Took a second to figure out it was mouse AND keyboard. Might have just missed it. Other than that amazing. That UI is sweet. Play ours here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/infinite-typer
@theamazingb Thanks for your honest feedback, We already give instruction on the game Info in the Main Menu but we will try to add more in the gameplay maybe some kind of interactive tutorial! I will play Infinite Typer and give it a rate!
Cool game!
I'm think you are awesome team!
For now I'm see just 2 things what I'm want you to show:
1. Cars can jump from the border, you need to check if car on ground when need to jump. 2. You need a better background and more intresting decorations around.
Anyway, good job, guys!
@Serious07 Thank you for your honest feedback, We really appreciate it we'll be fixing the issues soon stay updated!
Cool game, the controls felt a bit wonky at first but it was fun when I got the hang of it. A couple more levels would have been nice. I liked the audio and music.
@lucasbra1 Thanks for your feedback Lucas! You can expect more upcoming levels soon hope you'll keep updated!
Nice game, the controls felt a bit odd but maybe that's just the result of platformer type controls in a racing game. It would be fun if the platforming was extended a bit more beyond just a racing track with gaps to jump over, but good job overall.
@Space_man Thanks for your feedback we'll be trying to add more mechanics in the future soon! Much appreciated!
You dropped into my Twitch chat, spammed your link, and then bailed.
This is an incredibly immature way to get views on your work.
Good luck.
Awesome! Wish there were some more levels to play. Only Thing I would say is some sort of visual indicator to show if you're on the ground (i.e. shadow) Other than that great!
@Rhoka Thank you for your feedback, gameplay & support, We'll be adding more updates to the game later on much appreciated!
This was interesting and I'd love to see what the final product is. It seems a lot of time and effort was put into the visual effects of the menus on the title screen, would loved to have seen the same effort put into the visuals in the game play itself. The controls felt a little floaty when jumping, but I was able to adjust to it.
@ManBeardGames thank you, we appreciate your feedback, we're glad you liked the VFX of the U I and we will try to do the same for the game play, stay updated.
Positives: - Good looking effects, especially intro and credits sequences, props to you - The menu looks pro
Negatives: - Controls are way too simplistic, air control shouldn't be as strong - The default Unity background is ugly :( - I don't mind having to download an executable for a jam game, but having to install then uninstall it when i'm only gonna play it for a few tens of minutes top is a pain - Even for a jam, I thought it was a bit short, I spent more time installing it and in the menu than playing it :/
This might sound a bit harsh, but I only mean to help you ^^ looking forward to your next one!
@Epono thank you for your feedback, we appreciate both the negative and the positive ones, and we will take it into consideration in our next updates, stay tuned, thank you
I found the idea really nice, as was said by others, air control is too strong. Sad this is too short. And the controls don't give a car feel, more like a kart or some vehicle like the ones in fzero. Still nice and promising concept.
@Leon Silveira Thank you for your feedback appreciate it, We'll be trying to fix all the issues that we have in this version for the full version so i hope you'll stay tuned!
Really impressive opening visuals and video to the game. I'd say the content differs quite a lot, however this is just done in a gamejam so ofc a fully fledged racing game may have been quite a lot to do. I liked how there were multiple cars and they seemed to compete at a decent level. I think the platform genre elements needed a bigger representation, there were collectibles but they didn't feel essential to get, and the jumping was the main platformer "part. if you are going to carry this on, I'd recommend working on a control scheme that feels more "car" like.
@Honest Dan Thank you so much for your feedback and gameplay, Really appreciate it we'll work on the physics and game issues and mechanics more in the next versions! Thanks again!
This game screams professional quality. Optimize the graphics a bit and it's viable for an eventual Steam release.
@moonlightbomber Thanks a lot for the feedback and gameplay! We really appreciate your support hope you'll stay updated for the full version big release!
Really enjoyed the game! Looking forward to seeing what you guys do for the full version! There is some delay between when the GO prompt comes up and when you can start moving, and the controls are a bit floaty. I'd definitely work on refining the base controls first and ensuring it feels great, and then proceed to adding some elements like boost perhaps!
@Joe Sycalik Thank you so much for your feedback, gameplay & rating! We'll work on issues you faced playing the game hope you'll be updated with the project, Much Appreciated!
Nice work! I got a lot to say, but as you know, one image is worth a thousand words. So how 'about you watch my Let's play video of your game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKZ-GMNkk6I
And let me know what you think about it 😉
@JackLeHamster Thanks for your gameplay and feedback on the game, I'm glad that you liked it hope you'll stay updated for more versions! Appreciate your time making this video and best of luck on upcoming projects!
The physics of the car probably need to improve, two tips:
1. Add more weight to the car to make the jump more platforming accurate, you probably can see how typical platformers do it, and apply it to the car, it shouldn't be much different.
2. Make the side-way driving of the car with the arrows instead with the mouse, and with more accurate steering as the driving games typically do.
You probably don't need any more work in the menu area which is amazing. This is actually good because you can focus in the gameplay area and make it as awesome as the menu is.
Good job!
This was a really great concept! I had tried to think too about how I could make a driving platformer with jumps but I didn't want to draw the cars haha. I feel like this has a lot of potential.
Your intro/outro and trailer are *incredible*, I mean just full on polished finished professional game level of quality. Like seriously I might have to hire you in the future to make some for me :joy:
However I feel like the time you put into making all of that flashy meant that perhaps less time was spent working on the mechanics of the game.
I feel like the gravity was way too "floaty", I think the cars needed to be heavier and have more of an impact when landing and more of a takeoff when jumping. I also think if the cars pointed downwards when going down and upwards when going up would've helped it feel much more "real" as well.
I also think that the incredibly detailed and polished intro made the game itself look graphically very very simple. I think even some clouds in the distance instead of just all one solid colour of blue, and perhaps a light texture on the roads would've really bumped up the graphics! Definitely think that the graphics being set to "ultra" should be a default also as mentioned in Elysias stream.
This was overall though a great submission and take on the theme. I think with some tweaking to the gravity/movement and graphics this could be a really really fantastic and fun game! I hope this feedback helps and I hope you continue to make awesome games
@acoto87 Thank you so much for the review and your time playing, Hope you will keep updated with us in the next versions of the Game! Really Appreciated it!
@Goat Toaster Games Thank you so much for your amazing review on the game, We will be trying to fix every issue all you guys faced! Hope you will keep updated on the upcoming versions, Thanks you we really appreciate it!
Amazing job on the presentation and polish on this game, especially on the intro and menu. Definitely the most work I've seen put into a LD game in those sections! The concept was really clever and I had a lot of fun. Like most LD games, I wish there were more levels, but I know that was a just a byproduct of the time constraint, so keep up the dev on this one!
Some things I would change or look into personally, would be:
- Some others have said it, but the car feels a bit floaty, like it has no weight. Maybe play around with the physics a bit to strike a balance between a car feel and the responsiveness of a platformer character. - I accidentally jumped over the finish line and fell of the map and lost the race. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but I felt like that shouldn't happen.
Overall, well done!
You Suck!..
Can't say it's very encouraging to be told I suck by the game during the first 10 seconds of gameplay.. With a lot of polish this game could be a fun addition to the racing genre. Can't say i noticed any other genres in here?
@jackrugile thank you for your feedback and playtime, we appreciate it and we will add it to the to do list in our next versions, hope you stay updated.
@ThatSommeS Thank you for your honest review, we really appreciate it, we're glade you tried the game and we will try to fix the issues you faced in the game in our next updates, stay tuned.
Good job! Cool game!
You could only penalize the player when he misses and falls. I thought AI hit it all, only changing the speed that completes the race. You could evolve and put some other variables and make AI go wrong too.
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

@cristiano.m.garcia Thank you for your feedback and rating, Really appreciated we'll try to implement your trick on the upcoming versions of the game! I'll be testing your project as well  , Thanks again!
The menu lagged but the game concept is awesome! I would love to see the physics retooled and the game expanded a bit.
@Tim Ruswick Thanks a lot for your feedback, I hope you'll keep updated on the upcoming versions!
Although it doesn't feel like you're controlling a vehicle at all (physics-wise), it was fun! The menu needs rework, the scrollbars are too slow
@AlejandrodeCea Yep, I guess that's what happen when you mix a Racing with Platforms xD Thanks for the feedback really appreciate it we'll get to work on that in the next update!
Interesting, it's like you've spent more time on the game's com and presentation than on the game itself ^^# That being said the fact you got an installer and a page just for the game as well as a trailer etc. is really impressive, don't get me wront. Fondamentally, though the fact you control the car's direction with the mouse ad thet there's a "jump" control are pretty original, racing+platform=TrackMania, fundamentally - I recommend you check that game if you ain't heard of it. I ain't convinced the fuel is a mechanic in-game that's really important, I think you could have done without it. I'm really looking forward to see what you'll come up with in the next Ludum Dare - you definitely for a LOT of potential but I feel this one game didn't quite get there... Better luck next time, I'm sure :-D
@StrangerYann Thanks for your opinion and feedback on the game! We'll be keeping in mind those notes for the upcoming projects, Much Appreciated!
luv the presentation. nice entry
Thank you @SHINBAXTER !
