I really enjoyed the story and the graphics although it was a bit weird that the flame dies in a house made out of wood^^
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Jezebel and the Flame

@fireshake lmfao
How did you pull that off in 3 days?
Really nice graphics, rich storyline! I did feel like I made the wrong decision at every turn but that's the way it goes I guess...
that was a little bit suspicious XD
All I gotta say is... I feel sick after that interaction with the mayor.
A nice little point and click adventure game. Good graphics and story. Not sure why everyone in the village was such a jerk about lending you a piece of wood but a good time none the less.
well pixel art, i like it, but a lot bit bug I found, double click on the fire out of the text box, the texting sound effect haven't stop in first scene.
Really well made and put together, very polished in all aspects! Great Game well done!!
The graphics and animation were a lot polished, I'm impressed you had time to make all this during the jam. The lipsync is also a nice touch. I must say the atmosphere is a bit harrowing, I think Jezebel should move out ASAP! I didn't manage to save Terrence even after finding all characters that are willing to give you wood, but I suspect I shouldn't have turned down the mayor. Gotta stick to your principles!
Yay, I saved Terrence! Yet the story was lacking and, well, the game was plainly too simple. Unfortunately I didn't like the whole idea too. Why there was no choice to talk to the Major that some crazy-ass witch changed a village member to a bloody flame? I would have loved to grab a pitchfork and kill her.
Okay, jokes aside, the story wasn't bad, was just not enough for an adventure game. All the other things (graphics, sound etc.) were great.
Really loved the pixel art, a little bouncy during idle. The dialog effect was great, and appreciate the fact that I could 'autocomplete'/skip to a finished paragraph. Sound effects were on point though the dialog beeping was a bit loud. Level design was great, popping in and out of peoples' houses. Mechanic was intuitive too with every person you talk to causing progression. The story was good and got me curious about the mayor, Terrence being such a hated mooch, and what Jez did to deserve being called a harlot. I played through a few times to see what dialog I could uncover and was not disappointed.
Potential Bugs: When you restart the game and leave your house you will spawn at the last house visited in the previous playthrough, win or lose. You can spam logs into terrence before jez starts moving to him.
Great work!
@fireshake I think I was too sleepy when doing those graphics hahaha @boboman @thomasward @jackzeta thank you all for your feedback, I've fixed the bugs you reported and uploaded a new version.
Loved the mood and the music. Good work!
The mood is excellent, the graphics are very good too :) Congrats !
Well that's depressing. Good game but depressing atmosphere ^^
