@malcolmdjgr :face_palm: now it should work
Lovely: I like the round map and how you composed it out of photographs. Also the way the camera works is nice. My only remark is for the controls: they are a little quirqy.
a very funny interpretation of the theme, I laughed when I saw it and the implementation is not bad, it's pretty hard to hit the target
They won't take a baby even when I hit them with it on their head! This generation is just... I can't even!
(cool game tho)
I had a problem with the aiming, little bit stiff and freaky, like the cam :)
*Funny*, but unfortunately not a lot of *fun* for me, unless I missed something or am just really bad at it 😅 It just felt like I had as good as no control over where the babies went, or even myself sometimes. Difficult to gauge how far they would be flung. Very hard to hit anybody with them.
I do like the way the AI art is put together and the wonkiness of it. Text always getting messed up is entertaining, as well as how you embraced it with the title of the game. The literal baby monitor is great. Just wish there was audio, that'd've been quite something!
@ava-skoog oh I should ofc gotten bad AI-generated music and sound effects too. Why didn't I think about that. I think I was a bit too put down by the theme, too much pollen in the air and that the game didn't feel fun that I didn't have the energy to work on the controls. And as usual, when I try, who knows how it works, I hit around 50% of the babies or so. For everyone else, I expect that they are quite hard to manage and there isn't enough reward for failing.
I got to convince my partner to help me play your game seeing as it is two-player, and I'm so bad at rhythm games that attempting it solo will be very hard.
Great art direction! Nice juxtaposition of the art even though the graphics are used with A.I. Something about the jittering procreating humans is uncanny which I like too, but I did find the gameplay itself really difficult so I never got to successfully complete an order though, maybe its a skill issue from me.
Fun! The art style reminded me of the Terry Gilliam animations from Monty Python movies. I would've liked it if I could recover lost babies from the ground - I spotted a couple but could only bump into them rather than rescue them in order to fire them again.
Interesting art direction. Gameplay is just frustrating between the extreme delay between shots, the floaty controls, and the tiny hitbox for actually delivering the baby.
A very unique art style
Cool idea, but very very challenging :D The theme is spot on, and the concept is very funny. Too bad there isn't a bit of sound and a way to make aiming easier somehow. Other than that, fun entry !
It's too bad you can't pick up babies from the ground after you've missed them. Getting into the hands of parents is quite difficult.
Shame you chose to opt out of graphics, the art direction is genuinely great and adds to the humour. But then, everything adds to the humour, so it's fine, I guess.
As for nitpicks, it's understandable, when a game jam lacks sounds completely, but they could add so much to the atmosphere. Second – I think, if women were a little more forgiving with how you throw babies (maybe jump for them or pick them off the floor), it would make it easier to adjust to controls.
But yeah, overall it's a genuinely great little game.
@apple-dash thanks for the thorough feedback! I didn't really want to opt out of graphics, but how I read the rules and Mike's comments on the subject, I think that's how things stand at present. Agree with the women, I did make them catch a bit up in the air but I should have at least doubled that hitbox. And my first intent was to have them actually try to catch the babies but I ran out of will to continue and figure out reasonable predictions about where the babies would end up.
@misterkeefe You are right, maybe a re-used baby should be allowed but count as 0.5 delivery or something like that  The morals here are tricky
@a-huua glad you found the art and style uncanny! Even though the gameplay mechanics needed _some_ tuning.
Hey @picapica and @local-minimum!
An interesting approach to the theme! I actually called it someone would make a game about delivering babies and this is the first one I've seen! I liked the camera zoomout and the circular world! The aiming was a bit difficult, I wish you could control the canon that would improve the game and make it a bit more dynamic I think, overall well done!

@studiocherno thanks for the feedback and are you _The Cherno_ of the Hazel engine and youtube channel I've been watching on and off these past couple of years?!
Glad you liked the elevation based camera zoom and weren't too disturbed by how unbalanced / janky the controls were
Back in my day, we used to take our babies off the ground. It didn't matter if they had rolled about in a field or a lake, we used to like them just the same. This current generation is much too entitled.
Main actual feedback: - Love the graphics - I think the controls were a bit too floaty... - It would've been more fun to have no cooldown on babies. Huzzah! Baby barrage!
Had a lot of fun with this :)
The google maps/stock photo aesthetic makes this one very unique i just wish you could control the cannon somewhat.
Loved the humor and graphics! Do you have some kind of website/ social media account where i can find more of this artwork? That would be so cool
