LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Mantis by Linus 2018-12-03T20:05:54Z

I like it! I don't know what Drop is but it has that addicting mobile game feel to it. I like the graphics you have, but I wish there were more background elements to spice up the screen. I also with the window was a little taller to have more time to react, but awesome entry!

Blót by SalamiChild 2018-12-03T04:35:56Z

The art is beautiful! Great stuff!

Working Overtime by kbf123 2018-12-03T06:48:42Z

I could only get the stress to go down after they quit, even when I would make them not work at all, but it was still fun to try and optimize with this set of rules to win! I love the cute and bouncy art!

Fallen Girl by fullmontis 2018-12-03T22:11:08Z

Beautiful pixel art, love the palette and style. Good level design and great ambience! Glad to have played it!

Apropos of Apophis by zemmi 2018-12-03T06:53:56Z

Beautiful art, and humor to boot. I love the storytelling aspect which contrasts most other compos.

Faces by baknik 2018-12-03T07:10:11Z

Nice and simple, but it seemed like you put a lot of thought into the mechanics. I love the lack of instructions and how the player is left to fend for themselves!

The Lamb by f4kethis 2018-12-03T07:38:19Z

The sprites and gameplay give me a real Castlevania/Canabalt vibe and I love it. I'd get stuck with 0 forward momentum at some parts though, just waiting to die. Cool little arcade-y concept though!

Defuse by Andrew Garcia 2018-12-03T04:14:13Z

Sorry bout that guys! I had the page in draft mode still! (I don't know how itch.io works lol) It's up to play!

Defuse by Andrew Garcia 2018-12-03T08:58:11Z

So sorry @pez and @william-derksen! Totally my fault, turns out I broke it... I reuploaded the game back to the fixed state! Try it now! If you have any other gamebreaking issues make sure to comment!

Dead Pixels by Daniel Alhadeff 2018-12-03T07:20:39Z

I like the idea, but I think the pixels cover up the screen a little too fast and there were a little to many particle effects making the screen crowded. It distracted me from the lovely character and enemy art! As well as the cool NPC at the beginning. Excellent music too! Good work overall!

Save the little ones by acoto87 2018-12-03T07:05:40Z

Nice work, classic platformer. I like the black and grey aesthetic you have going on, and the metroidvania-y level. My goals were a little fuzzy the whole way through and it actually took me 6 rooms before I realized I could double jump, but fun experience!

Space Traveler by SanyingLi 2018-12-03T07:34:18Z

Wow, all your 3D voxel work is beautiful! The ship, the base, and especially the explosion particles! The sound design is also really cool, though an arcade-y soundtrack would be the cherry on top! My only qualm is that it gets hard really fast (maybe I'm just bad lol) Excellent work!

Respawn Bot by Fenerax 2018-12-03T22:03:00Z

Wow, great pixel art and animations! The added pipes and laser particles are small details that add a lot! Good work!

The Trolley Problem by Ludovico 2018-12-03T19:58:35Z

Love the puzzles and the mechanic! If two different track pieces are on top of each other it's a bit hard to make out the layers of the tracks to determine where the train will actually end up, but awesome work nonetheless!

Battery Blitz by CeeJap 2018-12-03T19:40:06Z

I like the simplicity of this, and the cute art and small resolution complement it really well! I wish you could walk diagonally though.

M-ss-ng Ch-r-cters by ConnorThompson 2018-12-03T06:52:44Z

Really cool idea! The visuals are so appealing with the minimalist and smooth style. Nice job implementing a leaderboard too!.

Flightless by Lemons 2018-12-03T07:06:37Z

Cool stuff! I love your sound effects. I think the pace of the game could have been a little faster, both the turkey and the projectiles, but really fun idea!

Lab Escape of the Terrifying Blob by theyellowgreninja 2018-12-03T04:51:50Z

A simple concept goes a long way! Good work, and love my little goo face ツ.

SEVER by lazinix 2018-12-03T07:26:30Z

Cool idea! I like how the speed/power exchange is tied with the visuals, and the fact that you can customize you character is such a fun touch. I really like the art that's there, but a little more could have pushed it to be great, like a character walking animation or more decoration around the level. Awesome work overall though!

GOATWRATH by Fat cat 2018-12-03T20:12:33Z

Like everyone's said, the graphics are great! I love the subtle lighting details you added too! Simple and effective!

The Reign Of Lambs by MaFancy 2018-12-03T06:50:32Z

A twist on the classic boxes puzzle game. I really like all the details you put in. The sheep guts, each sheep name, and the dialogue when you run into each other. Awesome intro cinematic too.

God of Indecisiveness by JakobTheQuizGuy 2018-12-03T06:08:31Z

Simple yet fun! I wished the difficulty ramped up faster though. I love the graphics!

thacrifaazth by s4m4di 2018-12-03T07:09:11Z

Cool lighting, and I like how the blades are visible at all times to help with aiming the little blobs. The timing on the saws I think could have been a bit slower, like the comment above said, but cool presentation!

Sacrificial Sam by TinyMushroom 2018-12-03T07:47:55Z

The fact that you can leave the people behind adds a lot of extra strategy to this idea! I like the arcade-y sound effects you used! I got soft-locked at the stage where you lose your roll though, cause I gave the roll, died, and didn't have my cape so I couldn't leave. But I liked the level design I got to see!

Meaningless dungeon by Ethan Losten 2018-12-03T07:52:21Z

Make sure at the bottom of the 'Edit game' page, the visibility & access is set to 'Published' and not 'Draft'. That's what happened to me!

A Guide To Self Improvement by Ravarion 2018-12-03T07:03:35Z

Really short, but direct like my favorite newgrounds games. I'm gonna be the odd one out and say that i could totally read the font, and it really fit with the extreme challenge you set with such small resolution. i like the different input, and i with it were longer!
