Your game's pixel style is consistent and polished. The small palette was a good choice and it tied everything together well. This was a very good game considering the time limit.

I encountered a bug at one point where I got stuck in a tile (see gif) blortgif.gif

Perhaps the platforms would have been better if only the very top (height of 3px) was collidable, and not the whole tile.

I think the pacing would be better if enemies died quicker (so you can appease the gods even more!) but balancing issues are more personal preference.

This is really nice, love the fixed colour palette. Gameplay is fun but It would be great to have a little weapon wheel ui appear when you press down to show how may weapons you have to choose from, didnt realise I had more than a sword for a while!

The art and colors are extremely well done. I also encountered the bug mentioned above, and I feel that a quick restart option could be beneficial.

It was okay. Honestly, there wasn't very much I understood, and there was a bug that prevented me from progress.

I got stuck in the same place that Doug pointed out. I like the art style. Little confused about the gameplay. I finished a couple levels and then it just abruptly ended without my dying or anything.

@DougDevs @stevenjmiller @oxrock I think it's caused by swapping weapons mid-jump? Sorry it bugged out on you; I didn't have a whole lot of time left for fixing and balancing... I'll patch it as soon as I can~

Absolutely beautiful art, the visuals of the game are extremely well done! I do think the game could use some more user direction - the addition of a static menu that displays weapons and controls (at least for the first level) could be a handy reference. Great work, I'm so impressed!

Very nice art and aesthetic. Attacking felt like I was just spamming attack for a long time, which makes you feel weak as a player and isn't interesting. Attacking didn't have much feedback. There was a situation where I thought I was attacking an enemy, it was even flashing, but it wasn't dying and there was no difference between when I did damage enemies other than the subtle flashing.

This was a really great art style and it fit well with the condensed levels. I think if you gave the enemies a more behaviour and added more feedback for attacks you would have a really addictive brawler here

I really enjoyed the graphics and all the visuals. The feel of the whole thing was very cool, and I think with some music and sfx this would score great in mood. Choosing to accept or reject the gods blessing was a very cool mechanic and I think this has the potential to be a really fun arena brawler. I think there are some ways that you could clean it up though.

I had issues with the movement though. I kept getting stuck on the ground and had to jump to get unstuck.

My first playthrough I got some bad blessings and got extra tough enemies that I had to fight with the weak spear on a completely flat map. I killed one of the dozen (?) but they filled up the screen so I just got hit till I died.

On my second playthrough I got stuck in the air like the person in the first post.

The third playthrough I got another death by spear on the second level and couldn't do enough damage to kill the enemies before being overwhelmed. Maybe the game needs some balancing? Or maybe I just suck. That is a real possibility.

Art and aesthetics were great, but some of the levels were down right impossible. Sound would make this game killer!

Great aesthetics ! It felt kinda weird to not be able to jump on platforms from under and the combat could use some extra feedback tho. Nice entry nonetheless.

Main issue I had was a lack of feedback when hitting enemies. It felt like my weapons were wet noodles!

Otherwise, a great entry with absolutely 10/10 art. Good job!

Great art and the gameplay was simple and fast enough. I agree with the previous commenters that the attacks should have had more feedback. Not sure if I completely understood the boons and sacrifices system either.

Very cool game! Love the pixel art, controls are smooth and satisfying. Only thing missing imo is more feedback for when you hit enemies, and more SFX in general.

The graphics are probably the best part of this entry. They're extremely consistent and simple yet they work really well. The gameplay is relatively fun, although having some sort of knockback on hitting the enemies would make it alot better. Overall, very nice game.

Nice game! The pixel art is excellent and it controls well. I liked the single screen levels and think it fit with the overall aesthetic. I wish there was some audio and a way to add to your timer (unless I missed it). Praying is also odd, where you can pray with the tap of a button for some, and others you have to hold it down. I had one run that was only two fight screens and about six or seven altar screens in a row, so it didn't feel like I really accomplished anything that playthrough, so either changing the "randomness" of the levels or adding a way to add time would make the game feel more enjoyable. Overall a solid game!

As usual your art is on point ! not sure if it's intented but you can hold z and do a lot more damage as well as stay in the air super sayan mode. But overall it's pretty fun!

Great visual aesthetic. I feel that the attacks needs need a bit more feedback, it is hard to tell when you are actually successfully hitting the enemies.

Kept getting stuck when jumping in the first level... After three restarts I stopped. Too bad because I realy like the graphics! The controls seemed good apart from the aforementioned bugs.

Really really dig the art. The game idea is amazing too. There are a couple things that bother me though: There are no sound effects, the game is hard to grasp, enemies take many many hits to die. Still, great game, congrats!

I Really like the style and theme of the game. Geat sense for pixelart! The sound is lacking thoug, some crunchy feedback for the attacks and some viking growling in the background would have been fun.

The art is sweet, but the gameplay is a bit confusing. One run, I was asked to sacrifice things 4 times in a row, then it ended. The next, I never had to sacrifice anything. Not entirely sure if I was doing it right or not. Some more feedback for the player would have been nice.

You should get out there and review some games! Crazy that you've managed almost 80 reviews as of the time of me reviewing this and still haven't reviewed any yourself ;) But I guess that goes to show the power of a good thumbnail.
