The fact that you can leave the people behind adds a lot of extra strategy to this idea! I like the arcade-y sound effects you used! I got soft-locked at the stage where you lose your roll though, cause I gave the roll, died, and didn't have my cape so I couldn't leave. But I liked the level design I got to see!

Preyy nice and easy to learn ! THe gameplay is a classical platformer, which is pretty satisfying with a great addition of features including the theme in a good way. Great job :-)

Lost the game on the stage where you lose the roll, unable to progress further. Other than that, fun game. Could really use some music.
The level where you lose the roll can be completed by jumping over the tank instead of rolling under it. This game can be beaten. It has 13 levels. I hope that clears things up!
So if I lose the roll and die I can't finish the game? Maybe you should have made a "clean restart" with the ability in the level you lose it.
didnt work for me :[ i ran the exe on windows, it gave me a blank black rectangle for a split second then disappeared, never to be heard from again
@pompi-pompi I added a bugfix for that level, thank you for pointing out the issue!
@shieldgenerator7 I fixed the Windows build, thank you for letting me know!

Pretty nice! I liked how many different powerups there were for the player to lose. The controls seemed intimidating at first but the game is forgiving enough that it didn't ultimately become an issue. The platforming engine struggled with some platform formations, but again, it could be overcome. Losing the suit was a great touch :) Good work!

I guess it's not breaking news but graphics are on the meh-side, anyway the gameplay ideas are simple but well executed! Maybe balance some powers like the flying because it was a bit too easy. I'd love to see a more complete version of the game :)

This is a well designed and thought out game! I like the idea of flipping the usual metroidvania progression on its head but doing that means there's a bit of a learning curve at the beginning because you have all the powers unlocked. Well done on including so many interesting mechanics though! Cool game :)

That was a great reverse metroidvania game!
I finished it with talking to everyone.
I like that you lose skills every time you talk to a person, however you don't know which skill you lose after you talked to them.
Level design is great!
There was one level where I had problems with an invisible wall, but other than that the platforming was acceptable.
Cool game! Despite all the problems I ran into, I ended up enjoying it once I got past the frustrating parts. There were some parts where it required too much of a precise jump and the instructions didn't properly convey that you had to already be pressing the arrow keys when you pressed Z.
Also, the Web GL build doesn't show the whole level for me: sacrificial sam stuck level.png
Overall very fun and I like that you have a set ability that gets lost each time because it's easier to guarantee the player will be able to continue the rest of the game.
@shieldgenerator7 thank you for sticking with the game! I appreciate the feedback. I updated the description so the dashing mechanic is explained more clearly.
For the issue with the Web GL build, were you running the game in full screen? It seems like that may be a requirement. If you ran into the issue while in full screen, which browser did you use?
@g12345 if you let me know where you experienced the "invisible wall" I will add a patch to fix it. I noticed that in some places, the ground may be slightly uneven causing this "invisible wall" effect. I thought I found them all, I guess not

WebGL worked for me. Great arcade feel, nice sound fx. Left that first person behind, wasn't sure how to save her. Hope she forgives me. Thank you for making it.
Yeah! I win! A ture hero always smiles in the face of adversity. ps. I think the hero might got naked when the lady wants his blue suit. But, he wear a black Tshirt and pants instead. Cool.
@tinymushroom no i didnt run it in fullscreen. I'm using chrome. And that dash description makes more sense now
Interesting game!
I loved how you could curl into a ball and roll around. Flying was a little tricky, though.
