Well now...
Neat concept, if a bit grim.

Well now...
Neat concept, if a bit grim.
I thought this game was horrible the first run. Gave it a second chance and I was Delighted.
Alrighty, maybe I'm just slow or maybe it's because I'm running on no sleep after 48 hours of coding, but, I've tried and tried to make delighted faces and I've yet to get a single one, let along 7. I'm going to have to pop back after I get some rest to give it another go. Thus far, all of my experimenting has amounted to a whole lot of nothing :/
not a bad little game, but no matter what i did it never said anything but 0/7
@fussenkuh @jcmonkey A small hint for how to Delight faces: This jam’s theme.
"So what do I need to do...? --> Oh yeah, there is a theme --> Got it!" then it's pretty easy !
Took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out how to make progress. Simple, well executed, a lot of fun.
I like the fact that you paced the game's learning curve really well. Then requiring us to deduce the rules to find the solution.
@baknik ha... thanks for the tip! I knew my brain wasn't fully functioning. Seems obvious now :)
It's very interesting, good job
I managed to finish it, took a bit of playing to work out what to do, but I ended up liking it!
Excellent. It was an aha moment to figure out how to delight the faces.
It took me a while to solve it, but eventually I got it.
Interesting message.
Takes a while to solve but very nice idea. Similar rules to the "game of life"
This is a very clever little game. I appreciate that the amount of abilities you have starts small and grows. Gives time to get the hang of what the current newest one does.
Nice and simple, but it seemed like you put a lot of thought into the mechanics. I love the lack of instructions and how the player is left to fend for themselves!
A fun and interesting little puzzle game. Well done.
one of the best entries ive played, super fun! some background music would have made it eaven better!
The only time I managed to delight a face was by murdering the face next to it once it had become enraged. This makes perfect sense.
Oh, so I should be making people pissed and then murdering them.... That does sound fun! ;p
I appreciate how, no matter how you praise them, you can never get everyone to happy face.
@foxor There is an actual way to get 7 delighted faces! BTW delighted faces are green with a big smile.
Oh man, you totally got me with this. I probably went through exactly the phases of thinking that you expected me to.
And then I was like "ohhhhhhh". And then I thought about the theme, and was like "OHHHHHHH".
So you really created quite an experience with a minimal feature set, and I loved it.
If I could change one thing, it would be to leave the last command active on the button so I could spam more. Or at least that's what I thought while I was playing and didn't yet get it, so maybe it's actually important to have that slight inconvenience of having to go face-button-face instead of being able to rapidly hammer out the same command repeatedly?
Anyway, very nice work here. Face graphics and the sound effects were simple but quite effective, but the real star here was your interesting concept and your successful execution in leading me through that.
