**Some things that did not make it in to the game:**

1. Brakable pots. (with rupies?) 2. Controller support. 3. Options to change screen res. 4. Options to change volume and sounds independently. 5. About screen. 6. Blood. 7. Screen shake. 8. Better Screen transissions. 9. Bossrun. 10. Timer (speedrun score) 11. Hidden and/or funny easter eggs in all the dead ends. 12. Doors that look behind the player untill all the foes are killed. (Zelda style) 13. Healthbars.

Great work! Love the graphics on this one especially. Well done on completing your first ludum

macdoom 2020-04-21 07:03

Ha! Got the monsters legs! Great dungeon! Feels a little empty and you can just ran past enemies. Loved the artwork and the beating heart! HAHA! Tum tum! Tum tum!

iferit 2020-04-21 07:08

Neat Idea. I Like the idea of making monsters :D

step4 2020-04-21 07:43

Had fun playing this game  Hitting enemies seems sometimes hard though But Great Work!

The graphics are super cool, very detailed I loved them. The sounds were good too. I would make the HUD/canvas bigger, adding it to the scene itself. Also, I would have added less rooms and maybe smaller, but I enjoyed the game ;D

THe art was great in this, liked how it worked well with the story. Enjoyed running around the dungeon but would be good if sometimes you couldn't get out of a room until you faced the enemies to add some more difficulty.

Graphics were really sweet and the music fit the tone rather well. The enemies seemed kinda useless? I just ran past them to the boss. It was kinda weird that the monsters health was tied to switching rooms, maybe time would've worked better? idk. The map was greatly appreciated and the bosses were really nice.

Good job, fellas :)

Great sprites, and I liked the slowness of the player attacks. Gave the combat a dark souls-like rhythm and really discouraged button mashing.

I really like the PIXEL graphics. It looks cool, thank you!

supercool

chonky-animations 2020-04-26 22:56

great art I love the attack animation. the length of the attack is also great for the combat.though one suggestion would be to add more anticipation to the enemy attacks to make it easier to tell if you have enough time to hit them or you need to cancel the attack. Also I don't know if you would want to change this but after I got the brain I went to pick up the potions and batteries in the boss room I hadn't checked yet just in case I would need them and was able to heal the monster even after it was revived.

gronk 2020-04-27 15:45

@chonky-animations That is a legit bug! If I had known about it i would have fixed that. When the monster is "alive" nothing other than hitting it should alter its health.

I blame lack of playtesting :)

Thank you for telling me and for playing the game!

This voice acting is incredible. :-D

virtuaworlds 2020-05-02 07:48

Interesting game. I like the art and music. The music was too low compared to the sound effects so it was hard to listen to. The attack was very slow so hard to get hits but I have a feeling I just suck at this game and it was supposed to be this way haha. Nice work and great game over all.

cdunham 2020-05-02 08:10

Cool idea and a good use of the theme! I wish it wasn't so hard to find the boss rooms(the map helps but it only being available in the lab means I can't use it most of the time.) I just ran past all the regular enemies since they can't attack me unless I stand in the same place for too long. The actual game is fun and the art and sounds are good too. Your list of what to add would improve the game a lot, but getting all those levels set up probably ate up a lot of the jam time. Good work on the entry all around!

notan-lemon 2020-05-02 08:28

Cool! I like that there are many types of bosses. Also the slowness of the attack is really unique and nice. Good job!

I made it to the end, and I'm glad that I neglected my monster and won with him almost dead. Interesting game, though it was pretty slow. I do wish the combat was a bit faster, but the extra focus on timing was neat. The game did feel a bit lifeless, with so many empty, pointless rooms that maybe had a monster in it. I wonder how the game would've played with two or more monsters in the same room, might've made for some interesting encounters. I also felt that there was way too much health, I had 70 by the end of the game, and kept getting health when I just wanted spare batteries. Graphics and music were nice, I was very impressed by the opening scene, that was seriously well done. Overall it's a good game, congrats!

westmave 2020-05-05 10:10

I didn´t like the slow attack, so I just ran through the rooms trying to find more Batteries and Healthpotions. I really Liked the Art, Music and Soundeffects. Well Done, Thank You :)

bookerbluejay 2020-05-07 00:45

Loved the graphics, the opening is really neat and the whole game had such a nice style to it. The slow attack was neat because of the extra strategy it adds. I do want to mention some of the boss noises were a bit loud compared to other sounds and the music

Hi, here is some feedback,

 **What I liked:** ✱ Overall mood and progression ✱ Audio is a bit raw but works well ✱ Pixel art is simple but works well ✱ That intro looks very pro

:muscle: **What imo could be improved:** ✱ Taking more risks on the theme and mechanics the story and main loop fit a very straighforwad approach to the theme. I'd have liked something different! ✱ in the end the comabt system miss variety

:sparkles: **Overall** ✱ I finished the game and had fun! Good job and thanks for the game!

reallyqbert 2020-05-09 13:57

Nice idea backed up with cool graphics and sound effects. I found the game quite polished with a nice intro and controls. The slow attack is a cool mechanic but it does slow down the game too much I feel, because you spend a lot of time trying to time the attack or running around in the room. Not that much after the first few times. Otherwise I think this is a great entry to the jam!
