Talk about starting a game on hard mode :)
This game is super impressive! from the visual style and design to the concept and game mechanics, it felt complex yet simple enough to enjoy.
Though I did find myself struggling to follow the rhythm game while avoiding getting hit from the bosses attacks, I couldn't help try again and again to improve my skill.
It was a truly innovative experience, bravo.

This is really good. Great visuals and audio. It is hard to dodge enemy attacks and play lute at the same time, but doable. You can just mash hjkl with minimal dodging or even standing still close to the beast. Also, you probably shouldn't be using mouse to click on buttons in a keyboard-only game.

Really liked the audio and the art style and this is a super impressive game!
My feedback would be to have the lute music notes vertically oriented (travelling from top of screen to bottom maybe) to match the orientation of the HJKL keys. I think my brain really broke trying to do the 90 degree turn in my head while playing...which was made worse by the difficulty ramp being quite high! Also the strumming of the strings doesn't quite match the notes as they come in (or maybe that was just on my end?).
I think if you tightened it up a bit it would be a really fun game and I would love playing it!
This game is so hard!
I love the idea, it's very unique and it looks really great! I'm just waaaay too uncoordinated to get very far. Seriously great looking game. The mechanics are very intuitive - you can immediately understand how the game is meant to be played. The music and lute sounds fit perfectly, too. I'm just so bad at it, though!
Well done!
Impressive game!
The music and art are very cool and coherent. As mentionned before by @foxwater I think the game would be a bit easier with the music notes and keyboard keys oriented in the same direction. Having to use 2 controls, one for the characters and one for the mussic is very interesting and challenging. It did lacked visual feedbacks tho especially when hitting the right notes, I felt kinda lost regarding if i did right or not.
Over all the game is a great exeperience nontheless!

Great looking game and concept! I like the idea of asyncronous gameplay with the attacks and the notes. It would be nice to have a less steep difficulty curve though, having to time 4 notes right away at the same time at that speed is a bit hard, and the timing window seem to be a bit narrow, as I missed a lot of notes even though I pressed the button at almost the correct time, making it feel like it didn't register my inputs. Visual feedback such as the notes getting highlighted or changing colour based on timing would make it more readable as well. Knowing when you hit the notes is crucial to learn how to time!
Would love it if you developed this further after the jam as the concept, style and mood is really great!
I am not good at this game... although that doesn't mean the game isn't good! The art and music is really nice, and its cool its got a little bit of extra mechanics compared to a normal rhythm game.

Oh, I so bad at music games XD The graphic is beautiful, and the music is super well done! I feel like sometimes button were not registered, when I press them, but maybe I was doing something wrong. Some visual feedback would be a nice addition. Anyway, awesome job!
Ooh this is delightful! I adore the art and the atmosphere, however this has quite a difficult learning curve! Something about the keys being horizontal while the fret is vertical. Once I got used to it however it was a very charming experience.

Incredible art, mood, and concept! Loved the combination of keystroke and platformer.
My issues with the game's difficult are about the same as everyone else. I tried for awhile but I could never get the hang of the timing and it being disjointed from the sound of the music messed with my ability to get into any kind of pattern. I understand the extreme amount of work that would have to go into making a random generated music play long without it sounding like garbage so consider this a very slight complaint.
Overall, this game is a great!
LOVE the style of this. The graphics are incredible and the audio is equally amazing. This is the perfect length for a jam game and really highlights the mechanics you built. I'm sure this was cut, but there should probably be some sort of negative effect to pressing a key too early as I was able to just slam HJKL to hit most the notes (I'm bad at these kinds of games). One other thing, the keys are out of order on the how to play screen. It showed "HJLK" instead of "HJKL".
Overall this is a very solid entry, awesome work.

The graphic style and the music are really unique, stylized and complete. The concept of combining platformer and music game is very unique. However, the HJKL keys are hozitonal and they are not intuitive. And I think 2 keys are hard enough since I should control the character at the same time.
I really love the art style! The rhythm combined with the movement was very neat. I think a cool idea could be having the rhythm keys mapped to the movement keys.
This game is tough as heck. I wasn't able to get the hang of it myself, so I didn't get a chance to see much of what it had to offer, although I did enjoy the art style where I did see it.

I absolutely adore the visuals, the game looks amazing. I think you have an interesting idea for gameplay, but I found it almost impossible to actually play the music. I am not saying that it's impossible, more that I am just really bad at it. I think the biggest thing that was throwing me off is that the keys were positioned in a vertical line on the screen, but horizontally on keyboard. I think if they were lined up, it would be a lot easier. Nevertheless, well done!
