Cute little puzzer and i really love the overworld screen where you go from puzzle to puzzle, a great throwback to older games like mario 3

guilhermoni 2018-08-13 14:01

Awesome, really fun. One thing tho, i think it would be better for the gameplay if the character moved in a grid, instead of the free movement you did. Despite that, great game, congrats!

2018-08-13 14:18

Not very different ground with grass and without. Generally the game is nice

akaneiro 2018-08-13 14:49

Fun and cute puzzle game. I like the map feature. Feels like good old games i played back in the day ;)

gamescalation 2018-08-13 15:21

Cute puzzle game. Reminds me a bit of old games and those ice puzzles from pokemon. Sometimes platforms disappeared while i still was on them.

sam-wise 2018-08-13 15:39

Very cute game but with a few bugs.

toad 2018-08-13 15:49

Really fun and cute, enjoyed it a lot! It would probably make sense to keep the player movement grid-based, as I got stuck between falling tiles or activated unintended tiles by veering a bit off course a couple of times.

rob-white 2018-08-13 15:49

Great job on the game! I absolutely loved the art style and animations. The levels taught the game mechanics well. A couple of qualms I had was that sometimes a tile would be destroyed before I had really walked on it (some sort of collision issue I think) and the game didn't function at the correct resolution when in full screen. Cool game overall!

rargrave 2018-08-13 15:50

I grew up with an Atari 2600 and this would have been my favorite game on it. I _love_ this game. My only disappointment was getting to the end of game screen :) . Although, even there I liked the 8-bit portraits.

Wish I could provide some constructive feedback on things to improve, but it's almost perfect.

Best game I've played so far.

girania 2018-08-13 15:55

Such a cute game! I really liked the puzzles :')

gord10ahmet 2018-08-13 15:56

I loved it! The only thing that bothered me is "Presss space to continue" button, it wasn't pixelated, which harms the pixel art effect of the game. I think grid based walk would fit the game better.

ngupsilon 2018-08-13 16:03

Really nice game, it was really enjoyable to play it until the end!

The free movement bring some problems (if you walk too close to the edge, adjacent "cases" fall even if wasn't on them) so a gird may have been better ?)

Good polish level anyway, and really nice oldschool game vibe

GG to the team o/

thebmxeur 2018-08-13 16:13

Looked great, but I wish I could skip level transition, end of level animation and teleport animations. On the second to last level, I didn't use the teleport and the level was easy. As already mentioned there were times when the ground disappeared before I really went on it. Grid base movement would have fit the game better ?

sylvie 2018-08-13 16:27

The pixel art was really good! Very polished aesthetically, although gameplay-wise I ran into the bug a few others mentioned where tiles fall while I'm walking on them. The puzzles were a bit easy but fun to work out.

drunkardwolf 2018-08-13 17:10

Great game. Mechanics are introduced very well and puzzles are solid. Would definitely love to see more of this, was actually quite sad when I completed it as I wanted to play more levels. Art is fantastic and the audio is excellent. Good job! :D

jasper-hansen 2018-08-13 19:32

Really enjoyed some of the puzzle designs. All the artwork and sound design fit well with the games premise. As has already been stated, I think grid-based movement might have fit a little better with the games core mechanic.

gagapete 2018-08-13 20:08

Nice little puzzle game. I played it through, though I think I may take a shortcut in a level due to the game not registering that I crossed a tile.

rebdc 2018-08-13 20:26

a really cool little puzzle game, i would play it if you added more levels and finished. well done

stateoff 2018-08-14 02:12

Solid game. All there is to say was already mentioned. Thanks for the little fact sheet on the palette.

gus-the-shark 2018-08-14 04:47

Very cute game! The oldschool graphics and sound are a nice throwback to the old consoles, I like it! The controls feel a little loose, sometimes a block falls even though I barely touched it, also I wish I could throw myself out of the stage to restart haha. Nice game, good work!

whitepoulpe 2018-08-14 09:56

Cute and fun, I appreaciate the different game mechanics. A bit difficult the first time with an "azerty" keyboard. As others have said, there was a little bug where the ground disappeared without me walking on it. But it'a great game :)

zicboy 2018-08-14 14:13

Loved this game! haha graphics and mood were spot on!

lespaul59 2018-08-14 17:16

Superb game, it felt a bit like a childhood game on the NES. Thanks for sharing i really enjoyed it! Keep up the good work

batlordz 2018-08-14 17:25

Great puzzle game! Nice graphics and cute mood! Keep continue!

itzjojo 2018-08-14 17:50

Sometimes the blocks fall without me walking over it which result in some akward moments.

Flying.png

I think this could be fixed with grid-based movement but overall its a fun little game.

gamebuilder 2018-08-14 19:54

Nice work. The game was challenging but not too difficult. I found myself having to strategize and it was fun to see my planning actually pay off. You did an amazing job with the graphics, I like especially the flower patterns at the end of each level.

paulloz 2018-08-14 20:07

Cool game, I would have played more levels

rob-cigna 2018-08-14 21:46

Nice job! I feel the same as most other commenters: movement would be better on a discrete grid, aesthetics are terrific, progression through the levels is very good. The thing that would most improve the game is more content!

rexpeppers 2018-08-14 22:45

Great job!

alexrose 2018-08-15 11:54

As you saw, I really enjoy these kinds of games, I love the audio too. You did a really good job here of getting that gameboy feel. Nice job guys.

the-shadermaster 2018-08-15 18:53

I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing magical space yoda collecting saplings! GG

zuhairghias 2018-08-15 21:05

In all honesty, I didn't have a single issue with the movement. It's implemented well despite not being grid based. In fact it is good this way because I have time to stop before I move to the next block. Nice job with the art BTW!

boyturnedrobot 2018-08-16 18:38

Hey I really enjoyed your game. The puzzles were fun and I loved the art work. Got stuck a few times on other tiles which caused them to fall before I stepped on them, but once I figured out you could do that, it was easy to avoid. Good Work!

strega 2018-08-17 08:08

Very cute puzzle game! I liked the graphics and sounds. The puzzles were fun. The level map was a nice touch. Overall well done! Every now and then I'd accidently nudge into a tile I didn't attend to walk on and it would fall causing me to restart, but it was never a big deal :)

rainysolar 2018-08-17 10:59

Very fun puzzle gameplay with cute graphics and good music. A solid entry!

nam-nguyen 2018-08-17 11:09

A nice puzzle game with very relaxing music. I really enjoyed the game, and the puzzle in later stages is pretty difficult.

16.png

I think this animation could be flipped to the other side tho - just a very minor thing, because the game was very good and complete, I don't really have anything to comment  Good job putting together this very solid entry!

lumpy 2018-08-17 18:07

Fun game! The mechanics were very self-explanatory. I feel like I might have cheesed my way through a few levels by walking on the very edges of tiles.

The world map was a very cute addition.

hatchet 2018-08-18 11:34

I loooove it! The art is very cute. The puzzles are nice. As someone has mentioned, grid movement would be nice, but I know myself that it can be a bit tricky to implement that in Unity, and besides it's not a big deal, the game was enjoyable without it. One minor graphical thing I would point out is the scrolling background. At times it seemed as if it's a part of the main island. Perhaps make things more blue-y in the background, as if to make them appear more distant? But that's a really minor thing.

I loved the rejuvenation effect of the islands, and the little victory dance. The in-between level overworld transition was also a very nice touch. Very reminiscent of old games. Great job, everyone! <3

naali 2018-09-01 19:36

I liked the ending flourish when you beat a level, and the in-between audio. I had to think a little on the last two puzzles, the other ones were fairly straight forward but the last puzzle seemed interesting.
